sorry wasn't concise
was gonna say depends on who u fish with. if everyone bottom fishing then it's abit tough. with tangles etc.
Ikan masin's son Ah Boy I believe is into jigging.

But it's definitely not sand bed. nothing on a sand bed
depends on season they will also target parrot fish and it'd be on the corals etc
*
ahhh yes,.. i heard of that,.. some boat man's son is a jigging kaki and the father is bottom style.
anyone wanna orgynise a jigging trip ?

yup...nice place to jig and pop...

caught GT and kerapu before smile.gif but dun expect those super big ones..(less than 5kg) only on occasional basis you get big ones
only for jiggers...and jig sampai tangan patah for whole day under roofless sampan flex.gif  sweat.gif

thanks for the info, sounds very interesting. Where is this tg tuan, as in which state? Dont wanna stay over night for fishing if possible wanna make it a day trip due to my wife's fragile condition.
U sound like a hardcore sea angler, me still noob. 6 and 10lbs line can go whack at tg.tuan?? Hehehe... Screw the fg, will go with gt knot.

how far out from the shore by boat trip ? 1 hour ?
Tg Tuan does sounds interesting, i dont have any heavy setups, so should be OK. Still wanna stry my 6 and 10lbs line for light jigging, with a strong leader of course (20-40lbs).

Tekong pantang,.. susah bikin la,.. i hate rulez. I hate restrictions.... i am a rebel by nature.

bro rory. the diffs for stx n premier brake systems, weight diffs, and handle material.
ancua ha?
both have same c6 carbon sideplates and x2 craftic alloy frame for corrosion resistance.
*
You missed out the speed hehehe
STX has 8:1 and PRM only max 7.1

I would go for the PRM for the weight, white colour to match my rapala snow.
And of cos the IVCBV and the carbon handle,.. sweet
If only can test and cast before buying.

Added on November 20, 2012, 5:44 pmif less than 1 hour boat ride for that price, i think its expensive.
But those motor are fuel guzzlers, I assumed tekong using 2 motors for the speed for that price.

usually morning go out, by 12pm go back shore to have lunch/pray/toilet, then 2pm go back out to jig until sunset smile.gif
your tekong dun allow girls on board  cry.gif  so i cannot follow u fishing lo  sad.gif
10lbs? casting issit? u think can use that setup for 100gm jigs?

erm...tg tuan, best you adhere to the rules as we are actually fishing on the whirlpool area (that's where are all the big fishes are ) and respect for nature as we are taking something from them smile.gif
*
Dunno wor, havent gone jigging before. so 10lbs cannot? hmm.gif
I dont mean to say that i dont respect nature, just that some rules i hear you all discussing sounds crazy.
Some believe that ladies cannot touch men's fishing gear, its a curse to eat white fruit.
Or why ladies cant go on the boat,.. maybe leceh if nature calls, perhaps?
why no slipper? safety concern, because most slippers are slippery ?
I just dont like old folklores superstitions, they dont make sense.

nah, felt the mgx better over the sdc. But the sxt still champ for small bc reels. However the mgx wasnt too far behind either, like the liteness in weight.

lol the scorpion you saying is shimano scorpion dc ah....
*
both scorpions there at eak, dc and xt, nice of the owners allowed me to test and feel their reels. The xt is really smooth and nice to palm due to its small size.
Casting wise, the dc and the mgx both got good distance but the abu ltx won with light lures. 5g and below achieved a good distance as the dc and the mgx on heavier lures. The ltx is indeed a awesome light bc with the shallow spool.

be careful when spooling in new line, always make sure there is no line twist. Newbie like me learned it the hard way.

Now bird nest 99, to cut or not to cut  cry.gif  cry.gif

Yes my man, u need to see how the line coming out of the spool, clock or anti clockwise then make sure line feeding into the reel goes the same. Only important for spinning reels, for bc its not too fussy if you're loading braided.

reel looks like some high tech stark industry weapon that fell off the mark 2 suit before it was painted with red and gold.

Never know what bites ur live bait when you set it out for drifting hehehe, fren of our shared his experience of despooling within minutes after hook to a dolphin. Had to cut line to save the rod and reel.

My personal comment
Sammy is very good top water lure.. not as good as Gunnish as it dont have splash action.. Wush! Wush!  flex.gif
same range as MB dogX or real dog i.e. Chicco but for sure better than MudSucker.. one more brand IMA, i didnt have chance to field test yet... rolleyes.gif
*
thanks bang. Looking at some sales trend, sammy lures died down and moving slowly now. So just curious whats the reason behind it.

jackall lures seems intereting, very similar to LC maybe because of the same designer.

Noted on the water moccasin.....
Water monitor has the same action but slow sinking.
Bonnie looks very sammy alike, anyone tried bonnie?
Or the sk pop?
