Confused. Package or rod? Haha
Seems abit steep $380 for a rod. Best I go in and have a look.

QUOTE(HarryzSandhu @ Oct 28 2012, 01:16 AM) Rod and reel bro That's quite reasonable then. Thanks for checking dude Added on October 28, 2012, 12:39 pm QUOTE(katsumoto2011 @ Oct 27 2012, 06:25 PM) They seem quite nice when I had a lOok last time. Very light too. Or have a look at the Shimano Elf. I've got it in a 1000 and 2500 size. Not too shabby. Exerts a decent amount of drag. Holds a decent amount of line. Fine for freshwater fishing. Drag is smooth and not sticky. This post has been edited by fishon: Oct 28 2012, 12:39 PM |

QUOTE(1dollar @ Oct 29 2012, 12:37 PM) Eoxtic was fun last Saturday. Took the advantage of the feeding time and frenzy. Only manage to foul hook a red talapia on the dorsal fin. Did u catch anything?Bite rate wasnt too bad also, just that it was difficult to set hook, darn hook keep slipping from the fishes. Kena something quite big, pulled my line, drag screaming then FG knot slipped.... darn it!!. |

Yeah I'm still unsure about Exotic and it's catch rate. For the amount you're paying...hmmm maybe I'm just cheap haha Was told about this $3 Barramundi pond. Anyone know the name? |

QUOTE(1dollar @ Oct 29 2012, 04:46 PM) Seriously,.. why bother charging for the RM3/hour for?? Not sure what the $3 is for. Maybe scared no one catches anything....profit from the 15/kg enough liao. Wet market cheaper leh. Added on October 29, 2012, 5:10 pm Both RIO and Billiton. I support BHP's IT infra Nice one. Big corporate client Added on October 29, 2012, 6:21 pm QUOTE(trowachin @ Oct 29 2012, 05:18 PM) agree... the place looks like the owner have multiple fish farms just opening a pond to sell fish faster and easier with some game to let fishos play around as well. Oh you from PJ...where do u fish near PJ Klang Valley then? heh first time i went there i thought of the cheap price but when really start driving from pj to that place... i start to think twice of bringing fish back with the cost of petrol and toll... freaking far... Added on October 29, 2012, 6:25 pm QUOTE(daddyVW @ Oct 29 2012, 06:13 PM) if your FG knot good then it will not failed on any parts of the knot... your main line the one will gave up 1st.. I use a Bob Sand's knot. And i've had instances where I tighten the knot and test the knot strength and the braid eats/slices the fluoro. I can see different little segments of fluro bits on my hands etc.You might tie a proper knot but sometimes in a given situation your knot will fail. Maybe not enough lubrication etc. A same knot I used caught me that 11kilo Jelawat at Exotic. Next outing (yeah lazy) the knot gave way to what possibly could be a pacu. Go figure... Quite an exxy freshwater reel.
U could also go a Daiwa for that price in the 2500 Daiwa has got a deeper spool and you could at least use it for some light jigging. |
