For those of you brainy types: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Medieval_Inquisition
This is a reference to the growing movement of heresy (magic/blood magic) and the Catholic Church (Andraste) attemps to quell them. |

It will be a console-oriented game, so PC fans should go back to their Black Mesa, GW2 while praying to the shrine of Witcher.

The dialogue was really good too, clever mix of self-deprecating humor and bemusement towards generic fantasy elements we gamers took for granted.Sure the combat is better, but everything else fall apart. I agree it needed a bigger overarching story, a more epic dragon fight and twice as many environments. |

For me, doa was way better in terms of story and gameplay. Da2 was hack and slash, your typical xbox/ps3 type game.
Only setback for da2 was the lame storyline. DOA was epic. |

W2 got cheesy dialogue, pretense of adulthood using pointless mature content, bad combat mechanics, limited spells, poor character customization, no subtlety in storyline/dialogue, stupid potion system, bad inventory |

But I still enjoy it quite a lot. now I just hope DA3 will be an epic ending for the DA series. NO FREAKING MP PLZ |

Pretty sure i read that Bioware will look hard at Skyrim as the platform to improve their franchise. I think that's a step in the right direction, they can write good stories but their level design can be quite bad and lazy at times. I don't think I've seen a giant developer cannibalize itself so rapidly and spectacularly like Bioware have. It's quite embarrassing to be honest.

DAO was awesome and still is....
DA2 was crap and still is.... (I was soooooo excited when EA said the storyline will span over 10years and its epicness will be immense. When start to play....... Walau er!!!!!!! This is what they meant by 10yrs. Sigh!!!!!) DA3? Hmmm........ After seeing EA flunk so many good titles, I have doubts. This post has been edited by LeoLilieno: Jun 11 2013, 08:55 AM |

QUOTE The start of Dragon Age: Inquisition has the Chantry, Templars, and mages assessing the aftermath. The mages have declared their independence from the Chantry, allowing them to break away from the Chantry-controlled Circle. The Templars want to hunt down the mages, fearful of what they’ll do without control. But the Chantry, just as fearful, thinks it’s best to make peace. The Templars, enraged that the Chantry doesn’t see it their way, decide to split off. “Basically, you have a situation where the Templars are hunting mages in the streets,” Gaider says. “That’s not everything that Inquisition is about, but that’s where it begins. The world’s kind of falling apart.” Entering Inquisition, tensions are higher than ever before, and no one is safe. Those who read Dragon Age: Asunder, a book that details some of the aftermath three years after the Mage-Templar war, already know of some of the chaos. “We struck down the mechanisms that would normally keep these things in check. Even the governments like Orlais are in a state of civil war that was established at the end of Asunder. So even there, the most powerful empire in the world is not in a position to intervene in these events either, so that just all plays into the state of the world at the beginning of Inquisition. We set up all our ducks in a row,” Gaider says. |

I am trying to keep my expectations somewhat lower, but the teasers the pre-alpha gameplay, the possible story line and choices you can affect the world is just making me moar interested to see how this game came up...but ofcorse, there will still be chances that EA-Bioware wll farked up this game |

Actually I replayed Witcher 2 like 4 times on Dark difficulty already, to be entirely honest the combat is very clunky but the overall game is way better than DA2.DA is great, but not DA2. so if you put series, you are pulling down DA 1 greatness |

DA is great, but not DA2. so if you put series, you are pulling down DA 1 greatness anyway, TS, should help to update all the progress they are making, so moar pipu may be willing to give DA series 1 more chance (I will at least, if they butcher DA:I as well, that's it for DA series) |

more gameplay revealed during PAX prime 2013
frostbite 3 in dragon age 3 is really good and with the destructible surrounding, you can really came out a lot of tactics. I guess they (Bioware) did really learnt their lesson in dragon age 2 which limits a lot of inventory and skills. anyway, here is the gameplay: » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « there is 3 part of gameplay, but I only put out the 1 part that really make a lot of people crying in excitement and joy This post has been edited by phamtom X: Sep 3 2013, 08:46 PM |

It was covered by some hardcore fans...if not mistaken was because Thedas itself is a big world to cover... and for DA:I they will only cover eastern Ferelden to Western Orlais, that itself is already huge, and if you saw the game preview they only pick out a single map region of Crestwood and itself is already huge! not to mention seamless (no loading) between plains and caverns!! fock yeahhh!! |

Nope i don't want any more returning characters... There's already 2 retuning characters: Morrigan, Varric.. and probably Leliana too. I want new playable characters with distinct and unique personalities. Let's have both equal male and female NPCs. I want romance all of the females XD

Looks good? QUOTE Our new "Discover the Dragon Age" video highlights only some of the locations you can choose to visit during your adventure. Each area in the video has its own realistic ecosystem with predators, prey, factions, and opportunities to expand your Inquisition. The world's population is based on an emergent system that adjusts what you'll encounter based on how your actions tip the balance in the area. You'll see towns attacked by bandits, deer fleeing from wolves, giant's feeding on bears, and countless other scenarios. The artists, designers, programmers, animators, audio and VFX specialists and many others are the most talented I've ever had the pleasure of working with. They are the people bringing the world of Dragon Age to life for you to discover. They've built incredible graphics systems like weather that creates naturally-formed puddles, spider webs that blow in the wind, and huge amounts of various materials that look more realistic than anything we've ever created in a BioWare game! FrostBite 3 has me worried. Look at BF4. Also, under EA be prepared for a hefty number of DLCs.
Might as well just get Witcher 3 and after sometime only get the complete version? Hopefully there's one. |

When it comes to dealing with products that have EA involvement, I would wait and see the finished product before deciding to buy or would just wait out for the ultimate edition instead

QUOTE(soul_fly9900 @ Mar 8 2014, 10:40 AM) When it comes to dealing with products that have EA involvement, I would wait and see the finished product before deciding to buy or would just wait out for the ultimate edition instead I got DA Origins Ultimate. But there's no Ultimate for ME2, ME3 nor DA2. All i have for ME2 and ME3 is Digital Deluxe. And the other DLCs you need Bioware points. Guess how much each DLC cost You think EA will want to do a Ultimate Edition? Maybe few more years along the road. Typical EA |

guys, is it safe to say that modding community wouldnt be the same as before?
since ive never seen someone able to create any mod/tweak on games using that graphic engine; unless it was a file tweak and hi-texture to think DLC was the only option for a better armor texture/stat sigh, ive always wanted to have all of DA series have replay DA origin ultimate 5~6 times as DA2 complete 5times b4,on yarr ver still hope that DA origin ultimate couldnt be region lock on steam.. |

It's kinda bad EA business practices. They monopoly and everything has to go thru origins. Steam is equivalently bad on the region lock. Realize Gabe is stupid as well

QUOTE(Archaven @ Mar 7 2014, 11:11 PM) FrostBite 3 has me worried. Look at BF4. Also, under EA be prepared for a hefty number of DLCs. agree. since Witcher 3 = End game. no DLC bullshit. or do they?Might as well just get Witcher 3 and after sometime only get the complete version? Hopefully there's one. |

The game looks nice, really looking forward to it..
I see Alistair, Morrigan and Leliana will make an appearance.. Hope others will make a cameo.. Like Loghain, Sten or Oghren. Man.. I somehow managed to woo both Leliana and Morrigan in DA1... Wonder if both romances will be mentioned or will the game imports either one. So far still no sign of the Warden.. Hope he/she does make an appearance even if in the ending.. Like he's the one behind the tear |

Hmm man... I really don't like the fact that party members are absent when the Inquisitor is roaming around and they will only present when there is a fight/cutscene...
I was hoping for them to you know.. Comment on the scenery and such... |

QUOTE Whether fairly or unfairly, BioWare is often criticized for what's perceived as a limited range of endings for Mass Effect 3. Right now, it sounds as if that's unlikely to be a problem for BioWare's next game, Dragon Age: Inquisition, which will offer 40 endings and more romance options than its predecessors. Responding to a question about multiple endings, Inquisition producer Cameron Lee said on Twitter (via Gameranx), "40 major endings with additional variations." The nature of these variations, and exactly how different the endings will be from each other, was not explained, but it sounds promising at this stage. Separately, the number of romance options available to players has also been addressed. Creative director Mike Laidlaw was quoted as saying Inquisition features "more romances than any previous BioWare game." However, he has since clarified that he was only referring to Dragon Age games. A specific number wasn't provided, but it does provide series fans with some sense of what to expect. According to the unofficial Dragon Age wiki, Dragon Age: Origins had four romance options, while Dragon Age II had five (counting the game's DLC). Ahead of its release in October, Inquisition has received a positive response for its E3 showing this week. Be sure to check out the new trailer that debuted on Monday and read our impressions of the game for more. Sos Bioware better not be lying... I'm hoping all the choices in DA:O, DA:A and DA:2 will make some difference in DA:I... |

Looking from the demo gameplay at e3, this looks promising.. However, it was only a short preview.. Mostly on the battles, and inquisition walking around..
This looks nice so far! Really looking forqard to it.. Areas are definitely bigger than DA2.. not sure if anyone has seen this: This post has been edited by helload: Jun 12 2014, 05:30 PM |

QUOTE(Jigoku @ Jun 12 2014, 05:35 PM) The very reason I haven't pre-ordered it from Origin.. One does not simply pre-order after Mass effect 3 stint. That Halla mount is tempting though.. I'm a sucker for deer themed goodies.. Well I think they won't make 40 major endings but 40 minor variations.. After all there will be Human, Elf, Qunari and Dwarf, that alone is 4. Then Warrior, Rogue and Mage. 3 or 2 since warrior and rogue got no details lore separating them unlike mage.. That is about 8 endings? Then choices in DA:O ; Warden fate, who's the king/queen, romance that add about 3,4 endings. DA:A what happened to the architect so that add 2 more endings. Witch hunt, 2 more ending. Dragon age 2, I haven't finish it so I'm assuming 3 endings.. So that's about 19 endings? Doesn't include the DA:I itself.. Lol.. Now I think about it.. Should be more |

I see that is nice to hear and I do hope it's true. Maybe they do listen to fans and won't repeat ME3.The obvious 4 possible major endings revolves around the race/background.. So that leaves 36 more. In the video you posted, at 3:46. He mentioned mounts is used for spaces player been through before.. I hope he meant for people who want to travel faster in area they already visited not that mount can only be used in areas player already visited or it as a mean of fast travel... New areas.. You have to walk through it first.. |

You have to walk through it first.. because on another gameplay demo, they also have a fast travel through the map option, kind of like Skyrim (to put it simply), where you can just open the map, and click on the point where you want to go... If that area haven't been explored previously by foot, there is no chance for you to fast travel while on mount as well.. Not too sure on that remarks.. haha.. |

Well I really hope mount can be used as we wish, at least outdoor. Not as an automated mean of travelling. Like as you mount up, it strode off automatically to a point. Seeing the video, that might not be the case, still mark 3:49 still got me worried. Well, got a few more months to go. I really hope Inquisition got to a same level as Origin as far as character immersion. Dragon Age 2's Hawke.. While he's a cool guy.. Not too attach compared to the warden.. The warden being a character we build from scratch.. The history, the choices.. I must say I'm rooting for DA:I than witcher 3.. Witcher is cool and all, but I'm more attach to a game where I can customize the hell out of the character.. Lol I read we can tweak character attributes from previous game in Dragon Keep.. Is the Warden commander going to be the final boss or something? Or it will determine Leliana, Morrigan and Alistair attributes? This post has been edited by malakus: Jun 12 2014, 07:56 PM |

It would be exciting if Morrigan's kid became evil and tries to claim the throne. maybe she time travel back with my warden to be prepare for this. That boy maybe got the ancient god power in him thats why he can open veil close veil as he wish? Morrigan's kid is highly likely to be the cause of the tear.. Probably because of the nature of his existence, the demons might be trying to influence/steal/kidnap/murder him/her. But then again, not all players choose to do the ritual.. It can't be the main plot.. This post has been edited by malakus: Jun 13 2014, 11:00 AM |

Getting tired of reading every irritating comments i came across on the internet for this latest installment. what a bunch of whiney ungrateful morons.
Pretty sure most average people who got into the DA series are mesmerized by the very first game and most of these peeps are unsatisfied with the sequel. I don't count myself being part of the majority though, i believe DA 2 is fantastic if not even better than the first one. When i first heard news of the third game i was so stoked to see that it shares a lot of the great qualities the 2nd game possess and makes it even better. for me this is the 'Skyrim' that i want. i love the expansive world in Skyrim but everything's too bleak and story-wise that game is unremarkable. Now im also gonna make myself clear that im a person who 'believe in the hype'. however these past few days this kind of notion is starting to become more and more idiotic. case in point watch dogs. still i refused and being a avid fan of Bioware games, i have a lot of expectations from these people and im sure that my trust in them will be worthwhile in the end. Still there's more to the haters of Bioware (im guessing most of them turn out like that due to ME3's ending and DA 2). what im trying to get through these haters is that your overly pessimistic attitude is irrelevant. Writing a lot of snarky comments on an upcoming game and yet given the reputation of the developer studio you guys just keep making situations seem more worse for them. Just stop! sorry for the long post and i know this is more like a rant than discussing about the game. im well aware that this involves several mild bashing of other games, pardon me for being too outspoken. i just have to really blow off the steam |

There is a reason why we hate DA2 and ME3 DA2 -Pretty much destroy everything we know about DAO -Map that recycle non stop and quest that make you run the same map in forward and reverse multiple time -Simplified the customization of my character? Only 2-3 version of clothing for them? Really? -There is more but due to hot weather and i am pretty much in my boxer sweating now.so fark it. ME3 -“Experience the beginning, middle, and end of an emotional story unlike any other, where the decisions you make completely shape your experience and outcome.” -Ending ends with jz 3 variation of color -No matter what i do Shephard DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE -Every single nit bits i did in both ME1 and ME2 creating 2 version of shephard renegade/paragon end up with the same ending.YOU DIE I DIE EVERYBODY DIE except a few people with the power of FLASH ran out of the big bang explosion. P:S i think there more people here that can give the cons of what BIOWARE did after MOTHERSHIP EA takes them in TBH,We giving snarky comments is like a double edge sword? If they did what they promised on the previous game we would shut up and start praising them for remembering the player. But if they fail to do so then prepare for the shit storm of "I TOLD YOU SO" FOR MOTHER EAAAAA |

To say DA2 is better than DA:O is a bit too much IMHO...
even if DA2 was good, it certainly doesn't out do DA:O, unless when playing a game you only care about aesthetics, in which case DA2 is indeed better in term of graphic looks and battle movements.. However, I find that DA2 story line was pretty shallow especially after we've been playing DA:O where there are more variations as opposed to DA2... I think most of the bashers, are actually taking it on Bioware because EA take them over... some people are just too fed up with EA that Bioware has taken the hit as well.. Still, I am really looking forward to DA:I, since I am liking what I see so far... |

People are more irritated with EA than Bioware. DA2 seemed rushed to me.. Riddled with bugs, like everyone said recycled environment, lacking in stories and others.. Who else but EA has the power or right to rush Bioware to complete and release the game.. I also don't like the fact there is lack of capability to mod DA 2.. I think I'll blame EA on this one.. If people can heavily mod, people will be most likely not to purchase DLCs such as weapon packs.. Oh yeah.. The lack of customization too.. Human hawke.. No elf, no dwarf.. No background..
So far, those things are being amended in DA:I which is great. Man.. I saved the Architect.. I wonder how Bioware will play it out. Some kill him, some spare him. How much of the story differentiate from each decision? They better not be doing things like Mass effect 3.. Save or destroy the collector.. Cerberus still got the tech.. Lol.. |

Darn, didn't think DA3 will comes out faster than The Witcher 3. I have chosen to finish The Witcher 2 over DA2 and now I can't start DA3 without playing DA2 first.. boo hoo
I have finished DA:O so am I missing a lot if I just read Wikipedia about what's going on in DA2? Or is there like a bonus in DA3 if I transferred over my save game and choices from DA2? |

QUOTE(Nuclear Exposed Girl @ Jun 13 2014, 03:24 PM) Getting tired of reading every irritating comments i came across on the internet for this latest installment. what a bunch of whiney ungrateful morons. To be very honest you seem butt hurt when people criticize about the game. Why should people stop? The one should stop is you. Everyone is entitled an opinion. Why are we a bunch of ungrateful morons? Who are you then? Look this a discussion forum. You have no rights to ask people NOT to express their opinionPretty sure most average people who got into the DA series are mesmerized by the very first game and most of these peeps are unsatisfied with the sequel. Just stop! sorry for the long post and i know this is more like a rant than discussing about the game. im well aware that this involves several mild bashing of other games, pardon me for being too outspoken. i just have to really blow off the steam This post has been edited by Archaven: Jun 15 2014, 12:19 PM |

If the game doesnt sucks people wouldnt complaint about it as much, its not a small minority of people who were complaining. I also agree with the other here that DA: O definitely trumps DA2. I think most of the players here know that Bioware product quality is not great anymore since they joined EA. |

And wow just wow, your statement is ironic, considering that you yourself states that one owns a right to express their own opinion and yet you ask me to stop and tells me that i have no rights to ask people? im just a nobody, a average joe, a big fan of Bioware games and a gamer.Though it seems like i'm not alone with being butthurt here, you too are being a bit too dramatic with your post. there is a good Malay proverb that fits well this situtation, "Siapa makan cili dialah terasa pedasnya" Now before this thread 'derails' further im gonna stop here, pull stop. And thanks for the "great" reply mister and apologies to everyone who has read my posts and loathing my words. EDIT!!: ok i might have take things too far and went overboard with my post. after cooling down for awhile and realise what i have written, i clearly do not fully understand your true statement before, and this is why im sincerely apologizing here. Review game pun salah tak review pun salah apa pun salah baik jangan main baik keluar lepak di kompleks I have to agree on certain points of his... because not only in this forum, but in other outlet some people actually already give bad remarks and diss DA:I before the game even came out... which is actually not fair as well.. even if the people are disappointed with DA2 to the point that they do not wish to not play DA series anymore, then by all means, stop playing, they don't need to diss DA:I, Bioware, EA, or even the gamers... I guess his post was more of a rant for some extremists people, but it does make him look extremist as well... anyways, to those who want to play and enjoy the game, feel free to share thoughts and excitement here, otherwise, if you are just here to call names to the game or the devs, or the players, better not waste the forum space? kapisch? |

I'm on the hype train for DA:I.
To be honest, I like both the DA games because I'm actually quite easy to be pleased. I don't really care if they use the same environment or dungeon in DA2 though. I like the humor and effort they put into the game. Both the game characters are pretty likeable. And the wizard's normal attacks acrobats really made me wow. I seriously can't wait for DA:I. Will play it if it came out, sooner or later, I will play it! |

This game has 9 companions.. 3 females.. one female is a lesbian.. so it could mean there's 2 or worst 1 female romance for Straight guys.
Bioware has also confirmed that this game has the most romance in all of Bioware games. So you can basically conclude that this game favors heavily on female gamers. And some gays too. |

It's just my guess but I think there will be more than 9 companions. At least one more if Cullen, Leliana and Morrigan are not part of the inquisition.Bioware has also confirmed that this game has the most romance in all of Bioware games. So you can basically conclude that this game favors heavily on female gamers. And some gays too. As for romance, I think they will make equal romance for each sexual orientation.. Maybe 2 for each which there will be male, female, gey, lez and bi.. Cassandra and Vivien for male, Blackwall and Cullen for female, Dorian and Solas for gey, Sera and the so called scribbles for lez and Cole and Iron bull for Bi. But then again.. Cassandra might go both ways.. |

yea, sad that the female companions all looked, mehhh... compare to DA:O... at least Isabela is hot ind DA2!
DA:I companions seems to focus more for female and ghey players... which is kinda sad, they are now given better options, while straight guys options are downgraded... |

DA:O women never look interesting unless modded.. I mean.. Leliana was butt ugly... Cow butt ugly. Then people started modding and voila, she became beautiful.. Lol I didn't recruit Leliana in my first playthrough.. Not because she's ugly or uninteresting.. It's because I missed the inn...
Well.. I like romance in game.. More so in Bioware.. But Inquisition.. Yeah.. So far.. the options are not that great.. Too much emphasis on Lgbt and it seemed to be force upon player.. I were to bring that up in the Bioware forum, I would be eaten alive for sure.. Well.. This is old news but I just read it.. There will be no DLC characters.. Thank God.. and there will be 9 companions.. I guess that's all of them.. Guess Scribbles won't be joining the inquisition. Since Cullen is not part of the Inquisition and could be romanced.. I guess there wil be other romance option apart from the companions.. Maybe the Inquisitor can romance Leliana or Morrigan if they're not romanced by the warden.. Wish Empress Celene is could be romanced as well.. |

Bioware is no where comparable to CDPR. Bioware is shy of showing topless females where many developers have already done so (CDPR, Ubisoft, Konami).
Also Bioware is one and only developer that favors LGBT. Perhaps that their selling point? Also i heard the lead writer David Gaider is gay (i'm not sure is true or not @Malakus Total 9 companions only. The other 3, Lelianna, Scribble Girl and Cullen are advisors. But Cullen is a romance for female. So as i said this game has far more romance options for female and probably other sexual demography. Only leaving straight guys to have Cassandra at the moment. @Deimos I hope i can be like you... This post has been edited by Archaven: Jun 25 2014, 10:56 PM |

The characters are extremely poorly written while the way they show that their LGBT is ridiculous, like how Cortez was crying holding a photo of his ex. It felt forced while I remember one moment in DA2 actually trigger a LGBT scene because I said "Dont worry". Romance is bad and awkward enough, as it all about talk, talk, talk, then sex at the end before the world explodes.CDPR did it by far better than Bioware did so far. At least it doesnt feel as forced as Bioware. If one is LGBT, I am fine with that as long as you do not disturb me with your LGBT interest. Bioware just like to shove it in front of your face. Yeah.. The lead writer of Bioware, David Gaider is openly gey.. So yeah, maybe that's why there's so much interest in LGBT in Bioware.. Still it's getting annoying and feels like
![]() Voice anything about that and you'll be skinned alive Well since Cullen is no companion, there might be other romance path that involves other people.. Like how the warden can romance Anora.. Maybe this time, some village girls. When I was browsing Bioware forum, I think I came across one of the Bioware mentioning that it would take a lot of time and resources to make all characters available to all gender and all races. So they made it like that, some are straight and some are queer and some are just plain confused. -- Well.. No news.. Hype is getting low.. 4 more months.. I have no problem if they make romance options for other sexual demography. But it seems unfair if straight guys can only have one. I may be forced to play as FemQuisitor if wan Sera nen nen XD. Anyway female Inquisitor voiced by Traynor (ME3) voice which is pretty awesome though

More details on one of the companion, Durian: The Redeemer ![]() ![]() ![]() QUOTE Being from a proud bloodline of the Tevinter Imperium has its advantages: Dorian was born with a flair for magic that made him the envy of his peers. He is charming and confident, his wit as sharp as any blade, and if some suggest his manner cocky, it could be attributed to being a powerful mage in a land where mages rule. Indeed, Dorian would be the pride of his family—if he didn't oppose everything his homeland has come to stand for. He wears the labels of "pariah" and "outcast" proudly, knowing that views of the Imperium are unlikely to change until and unless someone of his ability stands up to make a difference. Bioware really suck at facial hair.. It's like his moustache was drawn using paint.. |

QUOTE(Archaven @ Jun 27 2014, 10:14 PM) Well.. Dorian is confirmed to be Gay... QUOTE [DG]: Dorian is gay—he is, in fact, the first fully gay character I've had the opportunity to write. It added an interesting dimension to his back story, considering he comes from a place where "perfection" is the face that every mage puts on and anything that smacks of deviancy is shameful and meant to be hidden. Dorian's refusal to play along with that façade is seen as stubborn and pointless by his family, which has contributed to his status as a pariah. Meet Dorian I just hope they don't make it like Steve from Me3... I mean meh He's gay, but let his gay path, dialogues and others gey things come up when it's initiated rather than it being the main idea of the character.. |

hopefully the gheys talk option is better than DA2, I liked Anders character on DA:O Awakening, didn't notice he was ghey..
But on DA2 Anders just became a biatch at a whole new level, you can't exactly disagree with him without breaking his meekly heart, nor can you agree without giving him a hint of wanting to bed him.... I mean, seriously writers, wtf is that? I can write better conversation options than that! HA! Hopefully 'tis not the case in DA:I This post has been edited by helload: Jun 28 2014, 05:03 PM |

Yeah.. I wish that Bioware would make a branching path. Friendship and Romance. Instead of between Romance and party filler. That there would be a meaning and depth to the relationship between the Inquisitor and the companion even if we did not choose romance. No more Anders, no more Steve..
I'm guessing they're aiming for Dorian to be like Freddie Mercury.. |

cannot feel the hype for this game, cannot feel the hype for any game. Dev and publishers nowadays are ace in breaking and killing off their most prized franchises. It's so sad, even my anticipation for the division is dying after hearing that they're bringing in other studio to help with their game. We all know what will happen when you bring in outsiders

Guys Steam is not a monopoly. They offer competitive prices on big events like summer/winter sales, daily flash deals, weekly sales etc. Origin on the other hand made games sold only on their own platform. They can sell as high as they like. Just like their overpriced DLCs never drop after 3 years. On the other hand, as much as Ubisoft Uplay suxs, they made their games available on steam. That's not monopoly. It's open competition. The only problem GOG is sadly losing out because of their ideology of DRM free. Most games have to be at least many years old to make them available to GOG. When publisher can protect their IP they will release it on Steam, Origins, Uplay as they are all DRM

QUOTE(helload @ Jul 3 2014, 07:26 PM) I did not realize that as I used mods on Leliana to make her look like the one in Sacred Ash trailer Well, I searched the wiki and the timeline is about 10 years after the blight which is a very long time. In one of the conversation between Leliana and Wynne in Origin, it was mentioned that she look younger than her actual age. Wynne mentioned that she was ready to take her first apprentice when she was at Leliana current age. In the Leliana DLC, she met with City Elf warden's mother.... So I guess she was about late mid 30s or mid 40s.. So yeah, her design in Inquisition make her look so young despite her age. ------------- ![]() So it was Cullen in that armor... QUOTE(Rei7 @ Jul 6 2014, 10:58 AM) I really can't get into the first Dragon Age.. The 2nd was great though. Have you try right click DA and run as administrator? JKGot into the story pretty well but probably miss a few things that I didn't know in the first one.. Before this comes out i'll have to read the summary again or something xD Dragon Age Origins story is not that original and you know.. Cliche but it has its charms to draw people into the world. Mainly thanks to the characters and the excellent casts.. What I like about the series is the reign that player has over the characters and the story. We can customize the characters and make some interesting choice that influence the end game. Then there's the continuation of the choices, from Origin to Awakening to II and now Inquisition. |

QUOTE(hfi @ Jul 6 2014, 02:06 PM) Hmm, the Origin is deemed by most as the superior title and one that made the series so popular. Where did you get stuck at ? For what's it worth, I played mostly as the human noble and could never get into the elven heritage. I'm not stuck in any places as I remembered before.. I just can't get into the game.I was not into this type of game before though, even Morrowind I can't get into before.. Might give it another go since i'm into such genre now. |

Sounds like the game may be a bit of a slow burner for you which may be the case since you like DA-2 better. Da:2 is a lot easier to get into as it's faster paced and imo the controls as well as combat is more fluid and responsive.I was not into this type of game before though, even Morrowind I can't get into before.. Might give it another go since i'm into such genre now. But i do feel Origin has far superior RPG elements .. more interesting characters and the 'journey' is far richer. Pretty sure it has more content as well. But just go slow and let it absorb you. Also check out the mods for graphics etc .. helps lift the game a little. http://www.nexusmods.com/dragonage/? |

Yeah in terms of journey the first one looks a lot better then the 2nd. Will need to check things out I guess especially all the mods. |

Some questions on Raptr were answered. So I'll post the one I like here
News: Last piece of news for you all. Since so many people are interested in romances I'll confirm a few things for you. * There's 8 romances. * Only 2 of those have any racial preferences (for story reasons) Q: Will there be more to romance? A: We have not yet revealed all romances Q: What is the level cap of the characters? A: 25-30 Q: Will diplomacy skills make a return? A: There are things very much like skills that act similar to the persuades from Origins, but they're acquired and work a different way. There's no levels, just different areas of knowledge. Q: So Elven Inquisitors will be Dalish, Dwarven ones will be from the surface, Qunari ones will be Vashoth. Could you please tell us what background will Humans have? A: Nobel for non-mage Q: Will Shale be in Inquisition, seeing that the dwarf inquisitor will be a Cadash? A: Shale isn't in Inquisition. Q: How much freedom will we have to explore the "open world" while we are completing the main story line and minor plot lines? I am assuming there will be points in the game where the linear storyline will have to take precedence over exploration... A: Only in the begining prologue, after that you're in control over when you do story and when you do exploration. Q: So, will companions have quest specific comments? A: Yep it matters a lot who you take with you on quests. Q: We saw some papers detailing 'Exploration skills' for the three classes, are they still in the game and is there any more information you can give out about them? A: The inquisition will give you abilities as it gets stronger Q: Will there be a way to customize the appearance of armors and weapons? For example changing armor A to look like Armor B while retaining its stats. A: In a way. What you would do is find the template of the new armor you want to look like, then make it from materials which give it the look and stats you want. You wouldn't modify the original armor Q: Will spell combinations return? If so will there be more combos and more refined animations for them. A: Yes there's some combos between spells and abilities Q: Does the environment affect combat? A: Destruction and environment plays a part in combat, not like wet grass though. Q: To what extent can we customize the armor for the companions or the whole Inquisition? A: You can put armor on your followers, or craft it yourself so you can make them look the way you want to look. Q: Will console command return? A: Don't think so, I could be wrong Q: Are we able to dye our followers clothes different colors? A: It's worth noting that follower armors, etc, will change color as you equip new gear. As to dye, however, that's still being looked at. Q: Will you be moving towards a more tactical UI and gameplay mechanic or are you going to look at a more action based style that's much more fluid than DA 1&2? A: DAI is more tactical, including the tactical camera from Origins, we've even enhanced it. We've also slowed down the real-time combat so the attacks, defenses, hits etc are have more weight. So there's major improvements in both tactical and real-time. Q: How will the background of our characters (whether they're a Dalish Elf, Qunari, Mage, Dwarf, etc) affect our interactions in the game? A: Absolutely Q: Will earlier decisions in the series have a serious impact on the game? Like the big decisions in Origins and Dragon Age 2, or will they just be mentioned and more part of the background? A: Your decisions from previous Dragon Age games have an impact in Inquisition. Q: How will the classes work compared to the two other games? Is there a progression tree and can you choose subclasses? Can you combine different subclasses? A: Yep you can pick a class specialization (up to 1) and each class has a number of talent trees you can invest in Q: Is the inquisition religious? Can we work against it from within, or guide it toward the Qun? A: Your Inquisition and your character can decide if they are religious or not. The Inquisition stands outside of the church. Q: Can I play this game first without having played the others chapters? Thanks A: Absolutely. We've spent a lot of time making the beginning of the game smooth for new players to get into the series Q: In the Dragon Age universe the Racisme against elfs, qunaris suface dwarf (mostly by the underground dwarfs) and not to forget the mages, played a big part. But in Dragon Age II the only kind of real matter was the fight between mage and templar, my question is so, now when we are in a bigger world again will we see the hate of diffrent people more and more of this "them and us" feeling that really made Dragon Age to a dark game where nobody wanted anything to do with others? A: Yep, there's racism remains a part of the world of Inquisition. Q: Will Origins' finishing moves return? Jumping on to ogres and head chopping, that sort of thing. A: We have elemental deaths for many creatures in and working for elemental spells and weapons. We'll see about physical ones. Q: So, some of us aren't the greatest at open world gaming. We get lost, people die, then we're stranded. Without any pants. With 80 sidequests we aren't sure what to do with and can't remember. What navigation devices can we expect? On screen minimap? Fable's golden trail leading us to our destination? The Elder Scrolls incredibly useless compass? Will there be plot markers we can apply to the map like Mass Effect 1? A: minimap style thing You can put down custom plot markers You can mark any quest as the active quest Q: In Origins we had approval, in II we had friendship vs. rivalry. What kind of system will we have in Inquisition? A: Major characters all track something similar to approval, but the system has changed to put more focus on what you are doing and what you say instead of grinding by constantly giving them gifts. Each follower does have their own set of goals they want to achieve and if you help them, they will appreciate it And if you piss them off, they might just leave. Q: Does this story have Griffins in it? A: No Q: Do qunari horns stick up through the fancy hats? it is of vital importance I know how horns interact with fancy hats A: Qunari don't wear helmets. They have a different head slot Q: How much can we expect from companions or NPCs to act differently around us, based on our specialization? For example, is someone going to help/hinder me if I am a Templar or a Blood Mage? A: Certain specializations will affect moments in the story, yes. As to how much? Varies by specialization. Q: Will there be a good amount of side missions? Will organizations like the Blackstone Irregulars, Friends of Red Jenny, The Mages' Collective, and The Chantry Board quests make a return? Or at least something similar? A: Yeah, there's a goodly dose of side missions, though we've tried to contextualize most of them to make sense as something the Inquisition would do to either win the hearts of people or otherwise grow the Inquisition's power. Q: Will character creation options be more varied and unique from previous games? Ex// curly, wavy, or kinky hair. Different lip shapes (there has only been 1 lip option in previous games, yet mass effect had many options in all 3 games?) Or a wide variety of skin colors. This is kind of stretching it but will we also be able to choose our body type/shape in inquisition? A: There are a lot of lip options now. We are working to get more hair options. No body type choices, sorry Q: How prominent, if at all, will Dagna be featured in the game? A: Not a follower. She does appear Q: Okay, so Jon Curry is voicing male inquisitor.. but.. that doesn't mean Zevran won't be making an appearance.. Right?.. A: It doesn't mean that. But he's not Q: Chest hair for Inquisitor? A: No Q: just how customizable are the weapons and armor? A: More than we've ever done before. You can use different materials to change how items look and the stats of the items, enchant them, make potions etc. Q: Will this be the last game in the series and will we finally see some more from morrigan? A: You'll see a lot of Morrigan in Inquisition. ------ Scribbles is confirmed to be an adviser and her name is Josephine. She can be romanced by both male and female of any race. ------ A compilation of info based on the Q&A QUOTE The Inquisitor The British male voice actor for the Inquisitor is Harry Hadden-Patton, and the American male voice actor is Jon Curry. The British female voice actor for the Inquisitor is Alix Wilton Regan, and the American female voice actor is Sumalee Montano. The inquisitor will regularly be referred to by their surname, not just “Inquisitor.” The qunari pc’s body will be big, but smaller than Iron Bull. Qunari use something other than helmets/hats. The Inquisitor will definitely meet people who think they’re a holy figure, but how you react to that is up to you. Character Creation Scars and freckles will both be available in the character creation. (Update: freckles actually might not be, we’ve received contradictory answers.) Heterochromia is not available. CC is very complex — for instance, you can choose one color for the outer part of the iris and a different color for the inner iris. Lots of lip options, but no body sliders. As aforementioned, qunari pcs will get customizable horns. They’re already working on creating game-appropriate lighting for the cc screen. The CC will be before any major cutscene in the game. Companions and advisors (and romance) Both Cullen and Cassandra are straight romance options. Scribbles has a cool accent… and is a bisexual romance option (probably). The majority of romances are not concerned with race, but “a few” are. You can talk to followers at your party base at any time, but not “ in the middle of a blood-soaked murderfield (of death)”. Banter is supposedly going to be “Barney Stinson level of legendary”. The interactive banter will time out if you don’t react to it and continue on its own. You will be able to hug some of your companions/advisors. “Major characters all track something similar to approval, but the system has changed to put more focus on what you are doing and what you say instead of grinding by constantly giving them gifts. Each follower does have their own set of goals they want to achieve and if you help them, they will appreciate it.” Similarly, if you piss them off, they might leave. Approval for advisors works differently than approval for companions. Combat Combat settings will range from easy to nightmare, as in previous Dragon Age games, but there is not (yet, at least) a story mode. You can only have up to one specialization in DA:I, unlike previous Dragon Age games. Weapons are still restricted by class. All rogues can use bows — there is no “archer” specialization. No mabari in combat. You’ll be able to quick travel to any Inquisition camps you’ve established in your current region, which allows you to rest and recover health. There’s plenty returning abilities and spells from previous DA games, but a ton of new ones, too. “Having control over fade rifts may provide some interesting possibilities in combat”. Cross-class combos are back. “Knight Enchanters were designed to let mages get up close and personal and the abilities in that tree encourage you to do so, including the ability to be effective at melee ranges. They’re different from Arcane Warriors, though. Less tanky.” Positioning, traps, and other preparatory manoeuvres are all available and even a good idea against some of the more difficult fights. You can jump, but there won’t be complex climbing dynamics. There is no weaponless combat, as in the DAO-style punching. If you get into a fight with friendly, non-companion NPCs around, they will typically come and help out (presuming they’re warriors). Certain specializations will affect moments in the story. Miscellaneous “Faith” and “leadership” are going to be major themes of the game. The party base in Inquisition is going to be much grander than the camp from DA:O. “It’s the HQ of your entire Inquisition so there’s a TON of people in it to talk and interact with. You can customize your castle, rebuild some things, perform crafting and research etc.” There will be all kinds of wild animals in the game, some hostile and some not, including (but not limited to): foxes, bronto, nugs, wolves, rams, birds, lizards, etc. We will be visiting some kind of Dwarven settlement, but not Orzammar or Kal-Sharok. Both Flemeth and Dagna will appear. We may indeed see Gideon Emery again. Your inquisition will unlock some opportunities in conversations. In-game art differs depending on the country (it’s different between Orlais and Ferelden, for example) and you’ll be able to see how it progresses from being rustic/an early decorative piece to more refined work. There’s a pre-made world state if you do not want to or are unable to use the DA Keep. No flying mounts. “The bog unicorn is an undead horse which was killed by someone sticking a sword through it’s head… thus its horn is the sword that killed it”. No capes. Fast-travel is available between previously conquered Inquisition camps/keeps in a region. PC will support both mouse/keyboard control scheme and controllers. Updates There’s eight romances total, and only two have race restrictions. There’s at least one romance option outside of companions or advisors. You might learn more about or even MEET one of the chasind, avvar, or dalish. Non-mage human inquisitors will have a “noble” background. You are a surface dwarf if you choose to be a dwarven inquisitor. Levels will cap off at around level 25 or 30. No Shale, no Zevran. http://games.on.net/2014/07/dragon-age-inq...rters-and-more/ This post has been edited by malakus: Jul 9 2014, 04:13 PM |

Interesting points from the videos (I got nothing better to do) :
1. Well, we can 'skins' bear for crafting materials. 2. Yay, jump. I thought it was going to be like ME3 jumps but it seems is free jumping. No 'press space' to jump on screen. 3. We can assign the some of the Inquisition soldiers to a region and they will patrol the area."Sign of their presence" I guess they will keep the area from hostiles or there traders camp or Inquisition flags in the region. 4. The Templar's shield bounce off the ice shards.. Nice. I guess this is one of Templar's skill. It says 'Guardsman'. I hope player can also get that skill. 5. "Inquisitor, we are honored" I was hoping there is some sort of reputation system in which NPCs reacting differently according to the Inquisitor actions. Like 'We are honored' if the the Inquisitor has been good to the people. 'FUUUUU Here she comes!! Run' self explained. I also would love to see whether a mount will influence the reactions. Riding a bog unicorn might instill fear. 'WTF IS THAT THING?!'. I've asked them in Raptr but they don't have any answer on this. 6. Redcliff castle is a mage stronghold? I haven't play DA II but.. Connor.. What did you do.. 7. You can rest in tents. Cool. Maybe you can do some mini game there. 8. There's animation for drinking potions. Cool, cool. 9. There's an ultimate move that builds up during battle. Hope there will be lots of variation of these moves. Thunder, meteor or badass sword jumping takedown. 10. Wow.. Resurrecting the bridge.. Weird. |

From Dragon Age facebook page " There are no plans to make the game modifiable at this time. Please keep checking back for future updates "
Aww.. That's too bad. Well, I expected this already. Mods will definitely ruin EA DLCs selling style.. There will be weapon and armor and now mounts DLCs.. |

Looking pretty good. Maps looks narrow but filled with nice terrain and buildings. Animations are decent but not digging the horse tho, hopefully other beasts look and animate better. Really like how this game is shaping up. Hype.

DRAGON AGE™: INQUISITION Gameplay Series -- E3 Demo Part Two: Redcliffe Castle
1. Lock picking has a better animation. Sera is seen kneeling while picking the lock. Very nice. 2. It seems we can send member of the inquisition to fulfill certain task. Like sending Leliana to Redcliff. It is also shown these actions will lead to consequences such as Leliana getting tortured and I bet we can even lead to their death. As soon in the video, the torture room is locked and only rogue can open it.. So.. I guess player can leave her there if they want to.. 3. It seems Leliana will fight together when she's around. Part of me wish this was the first Dragon Age.. I just love DA:O.. If only it was made using this engine and the warden is fully voiced.. I love the cocky human and violent elf voices..
Oh well, maybe they will do a rotation. First the warden commander, second Hawke, third is the Inquisitor and maybe on the fourth installation it will go back to the Warden again. |

I think i have some gripe with this latest installment.
first of all why are most of the companions seem so dull? i mean cmon compared with the last game we got a sultry female pirate and a mildly crazy elf girl. at least Varric is returning and Vivienne which is arguably the most interesting one out of all; i can appreciate that. I hope they can fix this by introducing more DLC(s) content with more companions in the future Anyway so stoked for the Inquisition, please dont fail me this time Bioware! |

I hope DA won't have "DA Premium membership". If that happens, Bioware or not. Goodbye. Forever.

Origins games discount can get on Amazon. But have to stalk for it. Don't come often. Also EA games... you can get cheap original game but the DLCs gonna cost you a bomb. Those DLCs are essential to the game though

QUOTE(Hou_JaI @ Aug 1 2014, 05:06 PM) the graphic is amazing! hopefully it won't be like watch dogs in the end ... It will be supporting Mantle. I think it's fair to say if you can run BF4, it should be fine to run this without problems. The game was delayed for a month and not really sure what's the reason. If it's purely marketing, then there's nothing to worry. If it's game related, then there's something to worry about in my opinion. But i'm hopeful and the specs are not out yet ... looking at the gameplay graphics, this game will need a very good pc ? from http://www.game-debate.com/games/index.php...:%20Inquisition seems like not so powerful at all |

Some interesting rumours. I'm excited if true, passing around judgement.
QUOTE Gameplay: http://www.lazygamer.net/general-news/drag...tory-and-areas/-Red Lyrium is an anti-magic substance… an opposite force to normal (blue) Lyrium. -Tactics are in (automated AI settings as described by the writer) and apparently you can set how much mana a mage companion can keep in reserve and at which HP threshold would a companion use a heath potion.. so looks like more grained control over tactics. -After clearing parts of an area you can set up camps in that area, they give you access to scouts and you gain power, the resource you spend on operations. -Certain parts of a map can be locked until you clear other ones. -You can mark certain areas as operation points on the map so that you can deal with them when you return to your base of operations, Skyhold. -You manage your operations through the war table in Skyhold, and by doing so you get resources like gold and loot or agents, some of the operations are tied to the main plot like an operation involving the chantry in Val Royeux. -Some operations are resolved instantly and some require you to pick an advisor (Cullen, Leliana or Josephine) to resolve them, they’re unavailable while conducting the operation. -There’s a new resources besides power (which you spend on operations) which is called influence. -Influence gives you inquisition perks, those are divided into four types: Forces, Secrets, Connections and “Inquisition”. -The first three perks are tied to the advisors. A Forces perk might increase your potion capacity by four; a Secrets perk might increase the XP you earn from picking up codex entries; one Connections perk grants better merchant offers on rare items. -Skyhold changes as a reflection of which perks you favour (doesn’t elaborate more on how) though it won’t be related to decorations since you do that manually from a menu. You can change everything from the windows, throne, banner, and heraldry to the drapes. -Dragon fights are all scripted and they have their own personalities. -Dragons have a main health bar and a health bar for each limb, you can’t deal massive amounts of damage to it without dealing with its limbs first. Companions: -You can skip recruiting most of your companions and you can kick them off the inquisition at almost any time. -Vivienne: “She’s ambitious, in a nutshell. She is probably the one that stood to lose the most from the chaos that’s been sweeping. The mage circle is falling apart.” -Solas: “Solas is knowledgeable, logical, He refuses to believe in bad and good… which makes him absolutely fascinating as a character.” -Dorian: “Dorian, he’s fun. A lot of fun. He’s gregarious, outgoing, likeable and he’s from the nation that everyone thinks are bad guys.” -Sera: “She’s kinda nuts and is probably best defined by her contempt for all the bigwigs… she wants someone to think about the people being attacked.” -Varric: “Varric is pretty much Varric. He’s dealing with the fact that he’s now alongside the lady that stabbed a book on his groin,” -Cole: “Cole… Cole is different. He sees everything differently. He’s not like us. That’s pretty much Cole.” AKA the Ghost of the White Spire. -Cassandra: “Brash, impulsive, anger management issues… but she’s incredibly dedicated and does whatever it takes to set the world right.” -Iron Bull: “Iron Bull is humorous, dismissive, a natural charismatic leader, but he’s struggling with being a fish out of water.” -Blackwall: “He’s dedicated, almost a mentor figure, but he’s also a man alone, he’s been on the road a very long time and that wears someone down.” Story: -“Big levels obviously can’t narrate themselves; that’s impossible. The scope of that is too big. They need to give the player opportunities to tell their own stories and ultimately that’s what comes from exploring this open-world gameplay.” — Mark Darrah -There’s an operation to gain the friendship of Orzammar. -You’ll pass judgement on NPCs who come through Skyhold a la Awakening. He mentions the son of a barbarian leader you killed coming to the castle gates and chocking a dead goat against the walls which is some kind of ritualistic insult for killing his kin. You can decide whether to give him and his followers weapons and exile them, put him in stockade or a third choice. -Judgment sequences as a way of getting players to reflect further on their decisions. Mark Darrah on the ending and the ability to continue playing afterwards: ” you need to leave the world in a relatively unstable state but bring enough resolution so that the story has a satisfying conclusion.” Areas: -The Dales Highlands: Apparently a mysterious blizzard has hit the area and it seems to be the work of the Red Templars. -The Ferelden Bogs: An undead swamp. -The Exalted Plains: A grassland with myriad of abandoned forts. -The Still Ruins: A crumbling temples with demons and Venatori Cultists. -Skyhold: Your castle and base of operations, the writer compares it to the Normandy in ME albeit much bigger. -Inside There is a tavern, stables, a courtyard, a kitchen, and a dungeon (you can imprison people there) and the war table Wel.. I guess I better start with DA2.. This post has been edited by malakus: Aug 9 2014, 04:07 PM |

Dude.. I think I saw female Hawke... 1:37 and dude wearing warden armor.. good God.. Will the warden really be coming back.. Damn.. ![]() Well.. Let the headcanon begin.. 1. The part of the video is narrated by a man with deep voice. I guess that dude is the bad guy of the series. 2. 0:53 "You are a mistake, you should never have existed" I don't think it is the same voice as before. I have an idea, but I'll say it after the 3rd point. 3. Morrigan and the Inquisitor being blown away. 4. Two dragons fighting each other. 5. Then come in Hawke and a warden. Is it the Warden commander? Maybe. Alright all said and done. Let's review and start the headcanon. 1. As said before, I strongly believe(if not obvious) that guy is the bad guy. He refer himself as the new god. Morrigan mentioned that her baby will have the power of the old god and she's back in the series. Coincidence? I think not. I would like to believe that the bad guy is in fact her son. Why? on to the second point. 2. I would like to believe this is the voice of the male warden commander. Lamenting the fact the child (Morrigan and him or Alistair) had become a new threat to Thedas. I mean, you should have never existed. It almost feels the man behind the voice could have prevented the existence of the new god. 3. That could be the new god, Morrigan's child. She's is confronting him. At the very least, his minion. 4. This could be the work of the architect. The architect could have succeeded in freeing the darkspawn god from the taint. Thus aiding the inquisition. OR. Morrigan had twin. One fight for good and one became the new god. Like good and evil. 5. Yep. I think that's the warden commander. Lol. So yeah, that's my headcanon. One flaw to my theories though.. The choices.. If the player didn't perform the dark ritual.. Most of the story would be gone, completely.. Then again.. I killed Leliana during the sacred ashes.. And here she is.. So What do you guys think? Lol.. It's confirmed that is not the warden commander.. Sad This post has been edited by malakus: Aug 13 2014, 05:21 PM |

Could just be wild dragon in the previous trailer. Both share the same horns and some other features. Maybe it's like the Rachni queen. Spare it and it will come later to aid the Inquisitor.

Dragon Age: Inquisition won't use Bioware Points for DLC
QUOTE Dragon Age: Inquisition won't use Bioware Points for DLC purchases. Good. That's good Bioware, well done. Call me old-fashioned, but I prefer being able to buy things with actual money. "Based on user feedback, beginning with Dragon Age: Inquisition, BioWare Points will no longer be supported as a means to purchase DLC," explained the developer in a forum post yesterday. Instead, all additional content will be purchased through Origin as normal. "Instead of using BioWare Points, PC and Mac users can purchase future DLC directly through Origin, using currency." Any games that already used the points instead of currency will continue to support their use. Origin has its problems, sure, (don't get me started on the way they've hiked up digital game prices or we'll be here all day) but the convoluted process of buying blocks of Bioware Points to spend on DLC, then finding out you had a bunch left over with no way to spend them, was a bit of a mess. Not to mention the way that all that content never seems to degrade in price - I tried to pick up the Citadel add-on the other day and it still costs the exact same amount as when it first launched. Dragon Age: Inquisition will be released for PC and consoles this November 18. Source: Strategy Informer |

It's just like what they did for ME3 actually. Which honestly, wasn't too bad what the multiplayer.
The problem with the DA series for me is what makes it different from ME. They have a different protagonist for each game, and while it gives you a new perspective every time, it ruins the immersion a bit for me. For example, maybe my Warden knew about the Architect etc. But Hawke and the Inquisitor won't. When I see Leliana and Morrigan in DAI, i know my warden would've loved to see them, but having another character have to talk to them and build up a rapport with them again is so weird. |

Multiplayer was forced upon players in ME3 until the extended cut. You don't play multiplayer, you'll get bad ending. Overall the game was good but yeah.. the choices in the end.. eeeh.. wasting their time on multiplayer instead of the the main story of the game. yes,i am being stupid/bias if that is what you guys want to say. looks like dragon age inquisition going to fail after all I hope DAI will be good. Though, the multiplayer in ME3 is quite fun, if you can ignore the microtransactions.wasting their time on multiplayer instead of the the main story of the game. yes,i am being stupid/bias if that is what you guys want to say. looks like dragon age inquisition going to fail after all |

Sadly the warden in the trailer is not the hero of ferelden(confirmed in twitter) and the baby won't be joining DAI. Bioware saved the baby for upcoming game(I think this was mentioned in Raptr Q&A). But people still hope the warden in the trailer is warden commander from Orlais(since Bioware canon is the warden sacrificed herself/himself) amd thus for player who saved the warden.. He/she might appear.and my baby becoming the almighty old god I was excited at first but then feel the presence of the Warden and Hakwe might overshadow the Inquisitor.. After all this game is about the Inquisitor. There are even some people in Bioware forum been asking if Hakwe can replace the human origin.. sigh.. Personally I want the Warden to have his own expansion or new game.. DLC or something where player is in full control of the warden.. If the warden is a supporting NPC.. People(me) will complain that the warden is not as they(me) played him.. His personally or choices might be fixed and differ from I(they) had build in the previous game.. |

QUOTE Will Dragon Age: Inquisition have multiplayer? · Yes, the multiplayer mode in Dragon Age: Inquisition will feature action-packed, four-player cooperative quests separate from the single-player open-world story. What does the multiplayer in Dragon Age: Inquisition include? · Dragon Age multiplayer is an action-packed dungeon-crawling four-player co-op experience that lets gamers play with their friends for the first time in the Dragon Age franchise. · Following the success of Mass Effect 3's multiplayer mode, Dragon Age multiplayer includes fast-paced matches requiring strategic team gameplay while adding Inquisition's tactical class combat and extensive loot and crafting systems. Was multiplayer (MP) mode created by the same team that made single-player (SP)? · MP and SP were developed side by side. The multiplayer environment gave us a perfect opportunity for testing combat, creatures, and encounter design, and since the two environments are near-identical, every improvement spread to both parts of the game. Will playing MP be required to get the full-game experience? · No. The SP campaign is separate from MP. In SP, you have the support of three specialists who can send agents to missions. MP characters are agents. At the start of a MP mission, you will hear one of the specialists explaining the goal of your mission. Is MP going to affect my endings in SP? · No. Absolutely not. Our goal with Dragon Age multiplayer is not to affect your SP campaign. We simply want to give our fans the chance to play with their friends for the first time in the Dragon Age universe. Will MP have in-game purchases? · Yes. Platinum is the name of the currency that you can buy with money. Our philosophy for MP—and we are adamant about it—is that you can buy anything with gold coins, which is the currency you get from dungeon-crawling. There will be no pay wall. Why did you decide to add MP? · We wanted to give Dragon Age fans the opportunity to play with their friends for the first time in the franchise. There was a leak of DAI achievements with exclusive MP achievements. Is that the case? · There will be no exclusive MP achievements. Achievements are one way to keep players engaged, but with Dragon Age multiplayer, we have other ways to improve engagement. We will have a full challenge system implemented at launch, letting you pursue and track dozens of different challenges. Completing a challenge may also give you a reward. The challenge system will also be used to implement weekly operations. Every week, we will launch a new operation. Complete the operation, and you will receive a reward. Will people who pay to get that extra edge online? · First and foremost, our goal is to make a fun dungeon-crawling experience that you can play with your friends. There will be no pay walls in Dragon Age multiplayer. Everything is accessible with gold coins. You can use premium currency, but you don't have to. How long has your team been working on MP? · Over two years. After Mass Effect 3 MP's success, we created a special team with veterans from the Dragon Age and Mass Effect franchises. Our lead MP designer and lead online programmer have been on the Dragon Age franchise since Dragon Age: Origins. The addition of designers, programmers, artists, audio, QA, and production from Mass Effect 3 MP will help us ship a really fun co-op game that suits our franchise. Why four-player co-op instead of a full MP campaign? · In Dragon Age: Inquisition, we wanted to focus on five key aspects: Open World, Story, Characters, Visuals, and Inquisition. We also have a new engine (Frostbite 3), and we had to create many new tools to support the huge amount of cinematics and localization that a BioWare title requires. A full MP campaign would have been another layer of complexity, and we decided it wasn't the right time for the franchise to take on that feature. How is crafting different between SP and MP? · Dragon Age multiplayer is about mastering the fight with friends in a party-based adventure, and crafting is a key element of progression. Through crafting, you will be able to create new items that will make you better at fighting. There is some overlap between SP and MP recipes, and some are exclusive to one mode or the other. Crafting also lets you create new armors. If you craft a set of Alchemist Armor, you unlock that character, who can then open up a lot of possibilities on MP missions. You can also craft new armors for characters you already own. They will give your character a new special look but no extra stats. In SP you gather materials through exploration. In MP you salvage items to get them. What kind of loot can I get in a dungeon? · You will find gold coins and items (not potions), and at the end of a mission, you can use gold coins to buy chests. They will contain a variety of different items (weapons, weapon mods, potions, runes, armor, etc.). We are developing Dragon Age multiplayer with quick engagement in mind. We want it to be easy to play a round, acquire new loot, and jump back into the action. Now that you have new cool weapons and armor, why wouldn't you try another mission? Is any sort of app planned for Dragon Age multiplayer? · BioWare understands that players can expend a lot of time going through their inventory and crafting new items. We also understand that when you are online with your friends, you want to get into action quickly. With these needs in mind, we developed the Inquisition HQ. There, you will be able to access all of your MP characters and their inventory. You will be able to change your loadout, salvage items, and craft new items. You can do all that on the go because it will run on PCs, tablets, and smartphones. We will give more details about Inquisition HQ in the following months. Do I get to transfer items from SP to MP? Or vice versa? · In Dragon Age: Inquisition, you are in charge of the Inquisition, and in Dragon Age multiplayer, you control a few agents of the Inquisition. There is no connection between SP items and MP items on purpose. We wanted to make sure that the two economies are separate, which will allow a stronger progression in both SP and MP. If you play Dragon Age multiplayer, you will learn how each class plays a different role in combat, how different skills work, and how your party composition can give you a tactical advantage on the battlefield. This knowledge is transferable to SP, but items are not. How do I unlock new characters? · In Dragon Age multiplayer, changing the party composition with new characters can be the difference between failing and succeeding. You can unlock new characters by crafting their armor. Crafting materials are acquired by salvaging items such as weapons and weapon mods. You may also get a new armor in a chest that you can buy with gold coins. Getting a new character is definitely a goal to be pursued on Dragon Age multiplayer. How many MP characters will be available at launch? · Twelve characters, four for each class (warrior, rogue, and mage), will be available at launch. Characters from the same class can be very different. For example, let's take a Legionnaire and a Reaver. A Legionnaire can handle a weapon and shield and plays the role of a classic tank. Generating aggro and soaking up damage are his main role in a party. The Reaver is a two-handed warrior who focuses more on dealing damage and generating aggro, and her skills can buff herself or the entire party. The Legionnaire and the Reaver are both warriors, but depending on your party composition and your style, one may be more suitable than the other. Can I trade items? · No. Dragon Age multiplayer won't have an auction house or another system to transfer items between players. If you are unhappy with an item, you can salvage it and get crafting materials. Better weapons give better crafting materials. You can use these materials craft new items in-game or at your Inquisition HQ. What is the level cap for MP? · The level cap for Dragon Age multiplayer is 20. Once you hit level 20, you can promote your character, which will give you an extra attribute point for your MP characters. Promoting a character will also give you more Prestige points for the leaderboards. Are you going to release new characters? · Dragon Age multiplayer will launch with 12 MP characters, and we will release new characters after launch. Will MP support cross-platform play? · Players will only be able to play Dragon Age Multiplayer with people from the same platform. No cross platform play will be available. http://www.dragonage.com/#!/en_US/news...s=1409349175740 |

From a post by Mike Laidlaw in DA forum
SPOILER WARNING! This post reveals all of the possible romance options that players will have in the game. If you want to keep the mystery alive until November, be forewarned. If you’re ready to find out now, keep reading! . . Let’s take a moment to talk about romance in Dragon Age: Inquisition, shall we? It’s quite valid to ask, “Why reveal which characters can be romanced at all? Isn’t it better to leave the mystery and let players discover the romances as they play?” While some players understandably prefer to start games completely unspoiled, the truth is that DA:I is huge. The story takes a great deal of time to unfold, as do the relationships players develop with followers. As a result, you could play the game for a significant length of time before discovering that a follower isn’t interested. Again, many prefer that kind of discovery. Many players also have no interest in romancing anyone, and we’ve designed each follower to have a rewarding story arc for players who choose to engage with them, romantically or not. We’ve come to realize, however, that for many players, romances are an incredibly important feature—one in which we’ve invested a great deal of development time—and they prefer a heads-up to having their hearts set on a particular character, only to end up disappointed. To preface this information, a few words on our design goals for romances: First, we want to offer choice to our players. This doesn’t mean that all choices are available to everyone—it means that no matter what type of character you choose to play, more than one possible romance option will be available. This doesn’t guarantee that a player will find a particular character to be personally appealing—which could be the case even if every character in the game could be romanced by anyone—but it ideally lets each player know they’re not an afterthought in our development process. Second, we want our characters to be internally consistent. Every major DA:I character has a story arc, personal goals, and thoughts on how your journey together has evolved; sometimes a romance arc doesn’t make sense for them, sometimes it does. Either way, we aren’t trying to justify why a character can’t be romanced—we’re looking at how a romance with that character would make sense according to the rest of their story, and why that romance will strengthen an interesting story arc. Finally, a character being eligible for a romance doesn’t necessarily guarantee that they will be successfully won over. These characters have their own agendas and opinions, and the choices a player makes during the game have a definite impact on their affections. That’s intentional. With that in mind, we now reveal who can be romanced by whom. If you’re not interested in having that kind of foreknowledge before going into Inquisition, consider this fair warning and proceed no further. . . . . . . . Still here? Okay, then. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « We can’t wait for November, when you can finally meet these characters, help them tell their stories, and explore this enormous game with us. Mike.. -- |

I just hope they won't repeat what happened to Anders in DA 2.. Like AngryJoe mentioned in his review
Hakwe : Good Job Anders! Anders : *strips down* I love you too I hope Cassandra path is detail as hell to make up for the lack of LI for male Inquisitor. They should be able to focus a decent amount of effort in her. |

Dragon Age: Inquisition will take 80 hours to complete, claims writer
QUOTE Sure, Dragon Age: Inquisition's got that fancy pants multiplayer mode, but really all us RPG nerds want to know is how many hours of our life we can throw away on the singleplayer storyline. Well according to Inquisition writer Patrick Weekes, quite a lot. He tweeted that players could expect "about 80 hours", and that for a playthrough that was "by NO MEANS completionist". Of course, some of us have jobs and proper lives and stuff (I can pass on all that stuff, personally), and Weekes was quick to point out that if you want to rush through Inquisition a bit quicker you'll be able to do so. "Will note: people who prefer shorter games could do less than I did. NOT 80 hrs minimum. Still, LOT of game to play if you want," he clarified. I don't know how accurate that 80 hours will be for most people, but I'm sure there's going to be a hell of a lot of content. Not even including the co-op online questing. Probably best to rearrange your diary if you're looking to pick Dragon Age: Inquisition this November (18 in North America and 21 in Europe). Source: Strategy Informer |

Anyway, here's some read on Skyhold throne http://arcadesushi.com/dragon-age-inquisit...away-from-home/ According to DAI wiki, there will be race specific decors. Well, their lead writer is openly gay.. So.. Yeah. He wrote something about this, trying to reach out, hetero doesn't have the inherent right etc but I don't really remember much. Didn't really want to care, just hope the gayness won't be as bad as Anders and the romance is just a side story to enjoy.i have no regrets though. aside from that the game does still look enjoyable. might go as a female rogue for my first hero. Yep, just agree. Just enjoy the game. Wish they would release it like they had planned before on October and add in multiplayer later. They said multiplayer won't effect singpelayer.. So yeah, wish they would make it separate. |

There will be mods available eventually to modify the companions appearance to your heart content. For now, let's just hope the game is not terribly bugged and the chemistry dynamic between the companions are interesting and not waffle-thin.
Aww...two-handed abilities. That whirlwind ability is what I used a lot when surrounded by my dual wielding rogue in DAO. Fun times! |

I'm replaying Dragon Age Origins + Awakening and Dragon Age II.... I'm thinking about killing Anders (I let him go in my first gameplay and Sebastian go batshit crazy)... but I know doing that would somehow change the subplot in DA Inquisition... hurr hurr.. playing a game and becoming obsessed with the storytelling..

I do love the fact that we are able to do item creation, modification, runes and masterworking, etc to make a really deep crafting system but do we get storage boxes in our keep or a really high amount of inventory slots to keep all the crafting materials, looted stuff, crafted and unique items?
The screenshot & trailer above show an inventory slots of 100000 which is amazing... do you think we will get that much or it's just a developer mode? |

Woo Nice catch. The screenshot & trailer above show an inventory slots of 100000 which is amazing... do you think we will get that much or it's just a developer mode? Well I highly doubt the inventory slots will be up to 100k outside mods or cheats. It might just be around 100 or a little more with bag expansion and perks. I remember there's perks that increase inventory slots shown a few months back.. If I remember correctly they mentioned we can freely reassign the perks whenever we want(not permanent allocation). So I guess, players might have to do quest and material runs separately. Like when you want to finish a quest with lots of killing you would need to switch to forces perk and when you want to gather material you choose Inquisition perks or something. Something like that. |

QUOTE(lilzany @ Oct 5 2014, 10:46 AM) EA strategy will not bundle any DLC at least what I see from Mass Effect franchise. The main game could be discounted but their strategy is to make money out of DLCs. I wanted ME3 DLCs. Look at Amazon $15 USD for Citadel DLC. EA also will not release their games on Steam anymore. Their way of monopoly suxs eh? |

QUOTE(lilzany @ Oct 5 2014, 10:46 AM) I don't think there will Ultimate Edition anymore. I mean EA kinda stopped doing that. If you want a discount, wait for a few months after release or maybe in 2016. Maybe they will give a discount to the base game then purchasing the DLCs won't be as expensive..Luckily there won't be a character DLC.. Damn what they did with Mass Effect 3.. DLC for a crucial plot characters.. I don't mind for someone not as major as Kasumi or Zaed in Mass effect 2.. But the last prothean?.. (I bought all the DLC anyway...) |

This game feels exactly like an action RPG and group party seems hazardous. I replayed the old isometric battles like Baldur's Gate and feel it more enjoyable.

If the game is actually good and there's lot of positive feedback.. Expect the sale to be later than usual and prepare for incoming DLCs.
With the lack of modding capabilities in DAI.. Weapon and armor packs are almost guaranteed |

Something new engine they're using which Frostbite 4(I think) |

EA is kinda stupid though.. They always back-paddled.
Just look at SimCity, it could have been a very good game if they actually allow offline play in the first place, and also modding. But after half a year only, they changed their mind and make it available. Expect something similar for Inquisition if it's not successful. You'll see modding and other stuff being available, but it will probably be a little to late already since everyone is already moving on to other games. |

EA is like Mr Krabs. When things sell they won't be bother with the customer, when the sale is not what they expect.. Maybe they will do something.. Maybe..
Well, even with the bad reception DA 2 got, the game still not that moddable..So with DAi I think they(Bioware, EA) will stand their ground on this.. All we can hope is the modders will figure something out.. The Qunari hairstyles are quite bad.. |

EA's Plot-twists:
"We decided it would be great to push the launch date of Dragon Age III: Inquisition to the weekend and to top it up we're going to give everyone 48-hours of free gameplay. Those who manage to purchase the game during the 48 hours of free play will get SEASON PASS and as well as DA:O and DA2, we call it the ultimate bundle." » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « |

QUOTE(retsmot @ Oct 23 2014, 01:32 PM) ah ic. but physical version no deluxe edition, at least i see none of the usual sellers bringing it so far. I'm not sure, but I bet you can upgrade your game to digital deluxe in Origin. At least with the Sims 4 you can. The cost for normal physical sims 4 is about RM 160 and cost to upgrade is RM51 while the digital deluxe is around RM 231.. So.. If there is option to upgrade DAI to digital deluxe.. it might be a bit cheaper than the one in origin.But.. the chance of me being wrong is relatively high |

QUOTE(kianweic @ Oct 25 2014, 08:17 AM) Pretty much. I think Malaysian gamers especially if they're into DA should enter this contest. I mean they listed our country as one of the eligible. Maybe if they see bunch of entries they would seriously consider Malaysian origin or maybe they would honor us by putting some sort of reference in their games. Indonesia got Jakarta warship in Mass effect. Who knows maybe they will put something in Mass Effect 4 or DA4 I should make something... Even when I'm not talented.. Just to show some enthusiasm from Malaysia.. |

I was so disappointed about physical case of DA:O when I first bought it. New realm, new franchise but EA totally killed me.I always buy physical when it comes to EA games. |

I don't know if physical copy will get you the same thing but pre-ordering standard edition in Origin will give youQUOTE Flames of the Inquisition Arsenal Smite your enemies with the Flames of the Inquisition weapons arsenal. Whether staff or daggers, greatsword or war hammer, these weapons will make short work of your foes. Included in Pre-Orders for Standard Edition and in all Digital Deluxe Purchase |

I'm gonna be tyrannical Qunari. Suck that Thedas.
But seriously, the game seems awesome ever since it was announced. It's promising and I hope it will prove itself when it's released. I read somewhere it's already finished earlier than they had expected. |

QUOTE(Moogle Stiltzkin @ Nov 7 2014, 12:32 PM) AC unity ? after the ubisoft 30 fps comment i'm boycotting it. besides i'm not a fan of the series to begin with. i've been playing AC games in 30fps so that doesn't bother me much, but I'm in the minority anyway.talking about close release dates, lords of fallen seems like a close competitor to dragon age. i don't think they should had released their game so close to DAI's Lords of The fallen is already released for 2 weeks, so I think it's quite a good gap. |

QUOTE(Moogle Stiltzkin @ Nov 7 2014, 12:59 PM) i think the jump from 30 to 60 fps does take a toll on resources the developer rather spend elsewhere, so for consoles that have to work within their means, this could be an acceptable arguement. but what is not acceptable by many gamers however is how this can also apply to PCs as well as there is no need to .... this is essentially the gimping of pc performance so as to not outshine the same game on the consoles ..... and DA:I looks promising after watching AJ preview. but I don't think I can finish Unity in 5 days |

QUOTE(Moogle Stiltzkin @ Nov 8 2014, 09:13 AM) In DA2 if you didn't have a save file, you would use a preset storyline instead which often omitted finer details in choices made, making people instead resort to game file editors like Gibberts . But DAI is different. Using their dragon keep, you don't actually import save files per say, it only import your specific actions, but this is only as far as the choices you made to configure the tapestry in dragon keep. Given the choices in the keep.. A lot of previous game choices will be discarded.. I mean if there's a direct save, then there is some possibilities of the choices making an appearance but with the keeps.. Man.. It sucks a little bit.So even if you didn't play DAO, DLCs and DA2, you can modify the tapestry to be the same as someone else had actually played the game. also it's much better than DA2 that choices are very detailed though time consuming. I had to rely on DA wiki to understand the choices and choose accordingly because of the impact of decisions made. The only difference is the achievements. You don't unlock achievements unless you actually played the game and earned them. You also have to click the game sync to upload the achievement from your saved file to your account. what i am unsure if whether DLC gear and other DLC specific perks will be brought forward to DAI. I don't think it will, so there is no worry for non DLC purchasers i think. But you'd still need digital deluxe DAI if you want perks like the fast mount and dragon throne etc. When I'm in the keep closed beta I tried submitting some feedback but yeah.. Wish there were more options in the keep. Like DA epilogue about the boons and promises made. Plus in DA player could romance both Leliana and Morrigan but ultimately had to choose one.. But there must be some residual feelings between them.. I kinda want to see Morrigan bickering with Leliana about the Warden.. But there's no such option in the keep.. In the witch hunt player can also went after Morrigan through the eluvian even though the warden romanced Leliana.. But.. No such luck with the keep. |

Getting really high praise from Polygon with a 9.5 score.
QUOTE DRAGON AGE: INQUISITION IS ONE OF THE BIGGEST GAMES I'VE EVER PLAYED, AND I STILL WANT MORE This is the astounding scope I referred to above. It's no longer as simple as how your choices affect your small band of adventurers — though that can vary quite a lot as well. Dragon Age: Inquisition puts the fate of the world in your hands in a way that few role-playing games have done before. And even after another 80 hours devoted to it, it's a world I cannot wait to return to in whatever BioWare does next. I don't know what higher praise I could give. http://www.polygon.com/2014/11/11/7134385/...laystation-4-pc |

Hey guys I'm pretty damn excited for this game, was gonna hold off on buying to wait for small sales to creep up maybe a month or so after its out. BUT I CANT
I'm wondering if there are any digital sellers for malaysia that sell the game cheaper than origin? 70$ and 90$ for standard and deluxe accordingly is a lot. |
