my grandpa spend Rm820 today to install 2nd hand(half shop i think) power steering on his 1988 saga aeroback.....walala....anyway....just wanna know la maybe u guys did this be4 in lower price maybe?...

by da way...the workshop is at kampung only....sumwhere in klantan....

aiyaa... manual baru powerful maa, i dun like auto, it just makes me feels like i'm giving my car to control and i'm not the one who control the car..

besides, if u wan change to auto, u can go workshop there change it maa, RM800 can kao tim liao.. but not using the Proton ori 1 laa, using japan car (eg. AE86) gearbox..

well, the only makes the car different is the ratio of the RPM, normally on ori (Proton) gearbox, u'll get around 3000rpm when u reach 100KM/h, but if use those jap cars gearbox, u'll reach around 4000-4100rpm...

which makes ur car superb power, more 'brrppomm...', more easily overtake cars espcially on the highway, no need down gear.. 

But the oni disadvantage ofcourse will be the FC is damn high... when pump petrol time u'll wanna 

Guys,do you all change your steering wheel?
I'm thinking of changing one which is not too expensive and I do prefer smaller steering wheel.

Any advice what steering and where to get it done incl. installation?

Your car got power sterring? If have, then you is ok you change to the smaller 1. But if you don't have, then will abit difficult lor. Erm. Some lowyatian or zerotohundred got sell. CHeap and nice.

My 14 yr old one has power steering. It's optional or somethin I suppose?

Are there anything that I can change to improve the condition of the car so that it'll last for another 3 yrs or so?Roughly how much? Btw,3 yrs of normal town driving.

Sure not cheap la! I kena conned by that shop liao. I respray it cost RM1.3k plus change the engine hood. As the Fella said is Metallic White, but What I see is, it more white and shine compare with my old stock white colour. My dad respray his Pajero only RM1.2k. Fully metallic colour. So you think consider cheap or not lor.

Any recommendation for workshop in PJ area which does:

-new paint (silver)
-power steering
-cheap and good small steering wheel

no idea which shop to go for paint job in PJ. if in kajang u can come to my shop, but err.. even if i discount, still will not justify the cost it took for u to travel to my place. just a piece of advise, go to experienced workshop, although it's more expensive. get a good 2k colour, not like LMST 1k colour... so called metallic but so dull to look at. 

power steering with installation cost roughly rm700~800... small steering wheel? mine is rm50 with boss kit and installation. still doing fine. 

cd player? rm150 with installation also got... but of course, the cd will skip with the slightest vibration. Some accessories shop in bangi selling panasonic cd player RM238, pioneer RM299 and sony RM299 with installation. All are basic single cd player with at least 45w x 4 mosfet.

if u go for smaller steering wheel, definitely it'll become harder for you to turn the wheel especially in tight spots. But if you're looking into turning your car into your personal mobile gym, do proceed with your plan.

yeah, planning to change my gearknob as well... the LMST gear knob colour fades already...
