QUOTE(woe.com @ Oct 29 2006, 07:01 PM) well, the only makes the car different is the ratio of the RPM, normally on ori (Proton) gearbox, u'll get around 3000rpm when u reach 100KM/h, but if use those jap cars gearbox, u'll reach around 4000-4100rpm... Do you know exactly how much it'll cost?which makes ur car superb power, more 'brrppomm...', more easily overtake cars espcially on the highway, no need down gear.. But the oni disadvantage ofcourse will be the FC is damn high... when pump petrol time u'll wanna Where about can i get it done? Any workshops? I can also choose which kind of gear knob i want right, don;t want those typical proton auto gear like the old Saga. This post has been edited by Tainted: Oct 29 2006, 09:10 PM |

Guys,do you all change your steering wheel?
I'm thinking of changing one which is not too expensive and I do prefer smaller steering wheel. Any advice what steering and where to get it done incl. installation? |

QUOTE(singchaii @ Jan 27 2007, 11:18 PM) Sure not cheap la! I kena conned by that shop liao. I respray it cost RM1.3k plus change the engine hood. As the Fella said is Metallic White, but What I see is, it more white and shine compare with my old stock white colour. My dad respray his Pajero only RM1.2k. Fully metallic colour. So you think consider cheap or not lor. In that case how much is considered as reasonable? Can. I will post it tomorrow after i wash my car and also i promise u the picture with spoiler. Hehe. RM1k? |

QUOTE(blackpc @ Mar 9 2007, 11:22 PM) no idea which shop to go for paint job in PJ. if in kajang u can come to my shop, but err.. even if i discount, still will not justify the cost it took for u to travel to my place. just a piece of advise, go to experienced workshop, although it's more expensive. get a good 2k colour, not like LMST 1k colour... so called metallic but so dull to look at. Thanks for the advice.Yeap,Kajang is indeed quite far for me and I'm not familiar.power steering with installation cost roughly rm700~800... small steering wheel? mine is rm50 with boss kit and installation. still doing fine. cd player? rm150 with installation also got... but of course, the cd will skip with the slightest vibration. Some accessories shop in bangi selling panasonic cd player RM238, pioneer RM299 and sony RM299 with installation. All are basic single cd player with at least 45w x 4 mosfet. Btw,actually I'm ok without power steering but let's say if I were to keep it as it is and get a new steering wheel as the stock one is huge,is it ok?Which size is suitable and is it hard to drive? Where did you get your steering for RM50? Plus thinking of getting a cheap gear knob too.. Wonder how much for a normal looking one which does not looking as ugly as the stock one. |

QUOTE(domo_kun @ Mar 10 2007, 01:05 PM) Ugly la.. Ah pei look.QUOTE(blackpc @ Mar 10 2007, 01:28 PM) if u go for smaller steering wheel, definitely it'll become harder for you to turn the wheel especially in tight spots. But if you're looking into turning your car into your personal mobile gym, do proceed with your plan. Hard to turn?Sigh..i got the steering at SATO, bangi. yeah, planning to change my gearknob as well... the LMST gear knob colour fades already... What's the size of our stock steering? bangi..so far?haha..anywhere nearer? |
