My guess is, Preve crash test result better than Toyota Vios and may be also Honda City. Just like Exora crash test should be better than Alza and Avanza.

Exora also crash tested. Did Proton officially show to public or promote the test result? So you suggesting Exora crash test also fishy?

base on proton attitude, if they able to achive something better then foreign car, they make huuha on in .....

i think every car in malaysia is the same
1st year after it launched, u wont see many of it on the road, even when the booking number is high
just like saga BLM last time
1st 1-1.5 years also not seen much on the road...after that, its all over the road
most probably new car, they dn't really drive it often at start

ppl wants a lightweight, and relatively safe car( aka milotin, such as toyota GOA body). because lightweight is fuel saving. thus myvi or vios can sell.

proton go for conti or korean way, which is heavier body, higher fc in exchange for safer car.

wait. no. ppl simply hates proton, oh wai ....

so what does he mean then? AFAIK, he was refering to wiper and signal stalk having to do with conti feel. Beside the signal stalk, anyone who have actually driven a Waja, conti and Japs car can tell you Waja are more alike conti than Japs. Anyone who said otherwise is just being ignorant.

Basically its all boils down to one thing, proton buyers get that bang of the buck if they see pass through the "lower tier car"

And these people saves lost of money to focus on other things.

I dont see the advantage of dugong and city as entry/junior exec car. Its wiser for me to buy cheap proton for my first car and buy a mazda 6 or honda accord in terms of future upgrades.

waja is based on mitsu mah.. yeah when they put the renault engine inside sure feels like trying to maintain a french car reliability..

yes waja is asia's bmw i driving toyota vios, superior compared to waja.

Wira chassis is based on Mitsu. Waja chassis is more conti-centric. So when you drive a Waja, the chassis dynamic is certainly more conti feel. Chassis dynamic has little to do with engine.

if you drive like an old aunty and in town, sure Vios better to drive. Compared to Waja, Vios is light (because it's a milo can), agile and very responsive. But if you take it on highway high speed and fast cornering, only then you know how does a conti feels. So you an old aunty and never driven on highway?

well means jap brand can also be conti centric.. so what's your point? yeah used to have a Waja X in the house hold, while handling is good, ride vibration harshness was bad.. so is that supposed to be good? as opposed to real contis, where there is good handling with good NVH as well..

vios is more reliable compared to campro waja breaking down everytime and power window cant work

I am saying Waja's handling is better or chassis dynamic is better than Vios. In other words, the driving feel is more conti-like. Generally speaking, when people said "feel of a car", they refers to chassis dynamic. Less about NVH or reliability or whether power window break or not etc.

So are you saying Vios high speed driving and conerning is as good as Waja? If yes, then that is the 1st time someone saying that.

It may be no where near your Pug but still nearer to a conti than a Jap. Everything is relative. Anyone who have drive waja, conti and Jap can tell you that. I am refering to the way the car handle.

test drive only no use, how about daily ownership to compare more closely.. in terms of handling waja lose to my rx8, accord and in conti side, no where near my 407.. so how?

btw, 407 handling is really good. better than 308 thp, and the 4speed plus 2.0 na is really smooth.

conti feel, jdm feel... the price you pay is the quality you get, no matter what kind of illusion you get from the feel. There are high quality japanese cars as well that can compete with conti cars....
