I thought the 50mm lenses from Olympus are macro lenses?
*
yes, u r right my 1 is Zuiko Digital ED 50mm f2.0 Macro cost me $1900 cry.gif + 100+ for xtened 2 yrs warranty. But 1 thing for sure is those kit len cannot compare with this pro-grade len. Well i think it's wut u paid n wut u get la smile.gif . another reason is i couldn't get 4:3 third party len like sigma at KL / Sel area, i guess here olympus not so popular :SIEN: sad.gif

What grain? I don't see any grain? At most some JPEG compression blockiness.

The ZD 50/2 Macro is a very sharp lens, I heard. You can use it to shoot a variety of subjects, but the focal length can limit its use.
*
yes, it is a very sharp len, min focal length is 0.79 ft or 0.24 m (approx 7-8 cm).
for low light environment, it's abit difficult to use AF, some time i could'nt get the focus point, so i have to use MF.

QUOTE
It's called lalang. Haha...

haha, i think it's from Lalang family la tongue.gif

QUOTE
I like #1, the soft look is nice

the day i shoot this pic the weather is not so good, so i adjust abit at PS just to make it brighter. glad u like it, but this pic still can be better. tongue.gif

Categg Kinda noticed that majority of your shots seems to be in low light situation. What ISO you normally use for the pics? Seems really clean to me.. impressed

haha, your eyes is very sharp, yes i like shooting in low light environment.
Pic 1 ISO 100, 1/8s, f/2. Pic 2 ISO 100, 1/15s, f/2

QUOTE
coolkid The first one looks scarier .Cuz of the 2 shade lighting. It looks like grining evilly and the dim light on er... "special" bow-tie (?) gave it a mysterious look
But the 2nd pic, not much of dark feel.

maybe it's the warm light cast on it face make it look more fierce quar.

thorrey i wish i could get 50-200mm ar, but the price ...RM3700 ar sweat.gif

tinkerfy frankly speaking every camera also can shoot like that, not necessary Olympus, but the accessories for oly is very xpansive ar, no third party olympus lens available yet in malaysia. cry.gif

Once u steped into DSLR world, soon u wil feel that youe kit lens cannot "satisfy" u anymore, u want to upgrade your lens, u want more.. like.. 11-22mm... 50-200mm.....7-14mm....( actually this is how i feel now tongue.gif can ingore it la )

E330 ar, sorry dude not sure bout this cam, if u really want to get a DSLR Nikon n Canon also be considered, here got many sifu also using niko or canon ma, but again every cam also got it pros n cons, nuthing is perfect 1. If the pic u took not so good, dun blame the camera, blame your skills tongue.gif

Reon haha 10q10q, notworthy.gif notworthy.gif notworthy.gif
U also kena "halau 2" huh, too bad. dunno why cannot take pic inside flex.gif

50-200mm RM3700, where you asked?

Wildiew do yo hv FL-50? you know where to get good price for that?

My 2 cents smile.gif notworthy.gif
*
well, i ask the price of 50-200mm from Sg. Wang Tarita, cos not much of places selling this lens. But after asking sweat.gif ....no thank you first.

FL50, Planning to get 1 la but dunno when sweat.gif it cost RM1300, 1 of our fren here thorrey bought it liao, he bought it from Pennag also RM1300, i think u can't find a cheap items from olympus huh sweat.gif

well, if u planning to buy E500 u have to know that currently in Malaysia we dun have any third party lens available for olypums "yet", so if u wan to buy nother lens u have to go back to zuiko digital (xpansive but good quality lens).sad bout the pricing cry.gif but happy bout the results drool.gif wut a complex feeling. sweat.gif

here r the list of the lense, n u will know why 50-200mm is so xpansive, cos it's a high graded lens leh.
