For me, I eat less, but more frequently.
And for Whey Protein, take it after workout, before sleep(mix with milk,it will slow down the intake), morning, and afternoon.

if you are really on such a tight budget, drink it straight after your workout.

i would however recommend that you stretch your shakes to at least twice a day for your protein and the rest by consuming protein rich foods.

if you're feeling tight on the wallet with the shakes, wait till you budget your meals as they will consist primarily of meats.

Frequently cos protein(amino Acid) will be absorb by our body within 3 hours(correct me if i'm wrong), so after that nothing to repair our muscle

Most people require around 0.7 grams protein per pound of body mass a day to maintain their weight... so if you are 200 pound you need 140grams protein everyday.

Does not matter where the protein come from..whey/beef/milk/egg

There are many free calories/nutrient calculator on line.

Learn to estimate how much calories and protein you take each day..if u get less protein from regular food..then u can supplement with whey (thats why its call a "supplement"). Excessive protein intake can be harmful for the kidney.

Hi Kzflame,
Here's my honest input based on your questions smile.gif

1. Should i eat my dinner before or after the workout? (Currently eating after workout around 10pm)
It should be after your workout, preferably 45 mins at least after your workout. 10pm? Since your workout is at 8pm and ends at 9pm+, 10pm is still fine.
I would also highly recommend you to drink your whey protein immediately after your workout if you can. If not, give yourself a 30 minutes window and that should be the max. The best form of whey protein is HYDROLYZED WHEY PROTEIN smile.gif Why? Absorption rate is alot quicker compared to isolated whey protein. You may also add in dextrose and maltodextrin to bump up the insulin levels, increase blood flow and carries nutrients to your muscles soonest possible.

2. Should i take protein whey daily even if i didnt workout everyday? (What time consume would be best?)
You need to know that Whey Protein is a a form of SUPPLEMENT and its designed to be this way. There's no harm taking Whey Protein everyday, but do make sure you get your protein sources frm whole food.
Here's an example....If you wish to lose weight, then taking whey protein everyday is recommended. You can do that for a duration of 14 weeks.
If you are gym-ing regularly, say 4 times a week and do your cardio on the rest of the other days, you may consume your whey protein everyday too.

Hope the above helps, kzflame.

Cheers!

I take my dinner after my workout. I find it hard to workout after a meal.

I take protein every morning cause your body needs protein after a long rest. I also take protein after workout. If I don't workout, probably only take the protein in the morning. Protein not cheap....

mine around 8 - 9. if work late and stay back, usually around 10 too.

Protein intake depends entirely on you. It doesn't really matter when you take it since your body needs protein any time of the day. Most people recommend taking after workout though so maybe you should consider that.

You don't need to take whey immediately post workout. The 30mins/1 hour/2 hour PWO window is overrated and not as narrow as a lot of people think. It's an insane open garage door. Protein synthesis is still occurring within 24 hours. All you need is a solid well balanced meal post workout and TOGETHER with a protein shake on the side. I get amused when i see some youngsters running to the locker immediately and chugging down their protein shakes like it's a lifesaver. It just doesn't work that way.

Got similar question about protein intake, a rather simple one actually.

What do you guys eat for snacks? With good protein that is. Especially those easy to obtain via jusco/carrefour...
