Guys, how R1900TII compares over HCS2330 or any other better stuff

Already got the HCS2330 but need another setup for my room

Prefer 2.0 HiFi recently laugh.gif

Anyway, anyone know is there any Microlab retailer or distributor in Malaysia

hello sifus, want to know what brand of speakers can be used with my PS3.

Reason of buying: the speaker of my lcd tv seems to be broken, when the gameplay is at higher pitch, the sound distortion can be clearly heard sad.gif

Price range: RM200

Size of room: a small room

tq.

there's no need to bump...
some people just doesn't want to answer because looking back at old posts there are people who ask the same answers there so you gotta find it yourself sometimes

I'm pretty free so imma post a long post lol laugh.gif

first off there are 3 speakers of the same price.
second, these 3 speakers gave good amount of quality
third, different people different opinions so I would say both M3300 and M3300SF sounds better than VS4621

reason why is because VS4621 is messy and too much bass and it ruins the feel

M3300(and SF) is well balanced to my ear (even though some would say it is too bright for their ears)

I would get the M3300 for a brighter treble sound (and the looks of the satellite) as compared to the tamer version or M3300SF

at the end of my conclusion... I would always recommend people to fork out a little more money to get the Edifier HCS2330 or C2X for better functionality and sound

dear all taikor here, planning to buy a speaker system (in general term) for myself. Kinda like the design of HK sound stick 3 since day 1 and it performs quite well at my standard. But i found that all the brand like Pioneer/ Sony Home theater in a box is damn cheap, 5.1 some more. The price of sound stick 3 is same same as home theater. Which system is good ?

up to your usage

the Soundsticks is suited for close listening only (and for the price it performs wonderfully)

the home theater is designed for long range listening as they expect you to pair with tv and sit on sofa far away from tv

plus if you want 5.1 then go with 5.1 wink.gif
do remember that standard music or youtube videos doesn't work 5.1 so you'll only get like 2 speakers having sound only.

unless you extend stereo surround then yes you can

Gaming (both PC and PS3)
Movies
Music (concert, jazz, pop)
Installing in 6.3 x 6 ft room

In fact, trying to make a budget mini theatre for my bedroom
Using a 32" LCD LG tv.

Budget-RM600
Can go a little higher if better option available.

How's the speaker sounds? I'm more to clarity in fact. tongue.gif

Any other options? Brands? Lower grade?
I'm a newbie to these. Still figuring it out how to set up the whole system. sweat.gif

haha lower grade?
Edifier R501 MKII

I'm not an edifier fanboy... it's just that Edifier is indeed good for it's price

and DA5000PRO is great in vocals mostly. Clarity? that's up to your ears to judge. It's definitely clean to my ears for its price without sacrificing power

you can't get such clarity with the R501 MKII though icon_rolleyes.gif
bass be messing your soul rclxub.gif

the thing is I'm not sure how are you going to pair with PS3

does your TV supports optical in to 5.1 analog out?

if does you can connect ps3 to tv via optical in and use your tv to send all the 5.1 surround sound to the speakers

did you do the most common troubleshoot? which is checking the fuse?

secondly... have you tried warranty?

thirdly... if there's no warranty, have you tried opening the amplifier to see if there's any burnt spots?

go check on that since audioengine is designed for good clarity and balanced sound, not b00m b00m bass like the S530D because S530D has a subwoofer

Please check the fuse at the back of the woofer, if the fuse broken, the system will stop working.

R501 is good for that price range. just get it

I don't know how you are going to pair with your PS3 because PS3 supports only stereo analog out and optical out

you can consider Edifier C6XD which supports digital in
I don't know how well it sounds but that's the only 5.1 I know supports optical in

anyway I'm bad at soundcards so I don't know which is good so pls wait for other sifu to help you notworthy.gif

Yea have to figure out that part.Hmm basically from what I heard is that the speaker need to connect to the audio out or audion in? port of the monitor. Then HDMI to PS3 and DVI to desktop.Have to get more information on that sweat.gif

And also need to check what kind of port does edifier R501 has sweat.gif

EDIT:Should be something like PS3 HDMI Output > Monitor HDMI Input > Audio output port > Speaker
