please recommend me edifier 5.1 speaker which model is the bestest?

thanks for the direction on the aktimate guys....but after some psycho by my colleague a couple hours back..most probably i am settling down for logitech Z906...the wires might be messy but for the money saved, i will be asking my ID to conceal them.

Most review giv them thumbs up..if we dont compare them with the predecessor Z5500...

And the best thing is, i dont have to worry about amp or av receive since it comes with a mini sort...

so i guess it's gonna be Z906 for my movie through notebook..and Yamaha MCR-140 or so for my music...

or do you guys felt i am wasting money on 2 separate system when i can have 1 that's of better quality?

Hi need a speaker 2.0 or 2.1 around RM 300. Main use is for music and gaming. Currently looking at Hivi Swan M10 and Edifier R1600TIII. Got any other options? which is better?

Yea the m3300sf bass is super weak, but I'm not sure what type of bass it is coz it so weak i cant hear it properly But after a few times listening by placing the woofer at different location, i feel the m3300sf is the thump type. I was actually looking for a bass like the one on the Sonic Gear Evo 7 Pro. Do you know what type is it?

So the bass for the M3400 and P3080M is stronger than the M3300SF? For some reasons when I listen to the C3 i felt that its worse than the HCS2330, maybe that unit is faulty?

And yes, i made sure all speakers are off and the surrounding is silent before testing

I'm playing thru my phone actually. But volume is near max la. Slightly more than 3 quarters. Woofer i place on the floor in a corner. The woofer (i believe its the place where air blows out) i place facing a wall 10 inch away untially. Now i try place at 6 inch. The side with the fence one got any requirements? U mean 3 feet away from where?

Advice on Purchase of 5.1 PC Speakers System

I have fun with my Logitech Z5500 for almost 8-9 years, but lately the I found some cracks on all the satellite speakers which is bad enough to cause distortion in sound quality. Hence I wish to replace this set with a budget of around 1.5-2 K
After reading for hours, I have narrowed down my choice on these few options:

1. Logitech Z906 (Some said this is a downgrade version of Z5500, don't know how true it is)
2. Edifier S760D (Not much reviews in English language and not sure of availability in Malaysia)
3. Edifier S550 Encore (Not much reviews in English language and again not sure of availability in Malaysia)

Hence I would like to ask for opinions from you guys or in fact, are there any other better options available?

I'm looking for a 5.1 speaker system for my mini home theatre setup, after much research, it came down to the following 2 model:

Edifier S550



Logitech Z906



Initially I was pretty much convinced to get the Logitech Z5500, but unfortunately it's discontinued. So I'm kinda hanging around between Edifier S550 and Logitech Z906.

FYI, I'm a bass head and will mainly use it to watch movie, second listen to music. So may I know which speaker would you recommend? And why?

I have a friend who suggested that always choose wood as speaker material, is it true? Will the plastic material for Z906 effect the sound quality? How about short term and long term?

S760D indeed has better spec, but it's way exceeded my budget. In fact Z906 exceed my budget too, but I don't mind to chip in a hundred or two for better "future proof". I'll just follow ktek suggestion to go for Z906, the DTS decoding feature is a good point and deal maker for me.

the low frequency responses on krk rokit 5 and Edifier R1600T III is not really a lot of differences right? since the Edifier R1600T III 4-inch woofer and KRK Rokit 5 have 5-inch woofer?

I just checked a few Edifier speakers, so the quality of the speakers should be something like below for music + gaming?
R2800 (RM750) > R2700 (RM510) > R1600T-iii (RM290) > HCS2330 (RM280) > M3300 (RM 225)

The R2800 speakers is kinda large for my desk, looking for small speakers good for close sitting as well.

How much difference of quality when upgrading from R1600T-iii to R2700?

Does HCS2330 (2.1) play much better than R1600T-III (2.0) with the additional subwoofer?
