QUOTE(wongmunkeong @ Sep 16 2022, 09:02 AM) another view on IREIT: http://singaporeanstocksinvestor.blogspot....-term-pain.html .47/.48. can collect 1 time. RSI should hit below 30.TLDR version: "..Personally, I am waiting to add to my position in the REIT at under 50c a unit which might or might not be rock bottom but I would consider any price under 50c to be a steal. Of course, it might or might not happen. I like to think that I know IREIT Global quite well. Fear is driving people to sell at depressed prices and if it gets any worse, it is another great buying opportunity. Short term pain for long term gain." next .36.. which is year 2020 low. but dun think will reach there. but then again what do i know.. haha anything can happen anytime... As long nobody bomb the BUILDINGS its only currency risk which is temporary. |

QUOTE(Hansel @ Sep 23 2022, 01:09 PM) Daiwa Hse Logistics Trust will benefit too,... BUT,......... ok. P LIFE.. i hv sold off all earlier. now buy back.Being in the logistics sector, if truly a Recession hits, the logistics sector will be hit. I am more confident of PLife REIT because of the industry that PLife is in,... we all know abt aged-care homes,... sometimes should just leave it there.. wongmunkeong liked this post

QUOTE(Hansel @ Sep 23 2022, 07:17 PM) All valid points have been given in the above,... nothing much for me to debate on. 4.50 small entry for PLIFE.. I'll just say that if a REIT has a chance to incarese its dpu AND has a chance to pass-on property mgmt costs to its tenants,... that REIT will be resilient. and can 'fight' any risk-free rate instrument. But still,.. due to current sentiments, every REIT will have a high chance of dropping further. But this is good,... means we can buy at even cheaper prices. The challenges then becomes preparing the funds, targetting which REIT is worthy to load-up (more) on and finally : WHEN TO BUY ! JAPAN YEN cheap.. reits start to buy prop. in japan so, for us. IN Reit managers we trust |

QUOTE(dwRK @ Oct 16 2022, 09:40 AM) morning bro... singapore reits.. more for income.ya... as a long term investor... buying good solid counters are essential especially if the plan is to hold for 5-10 yrs... this long hold alleviates the need to time the market... hence buy when price has dropped significantly... and dca dca dca... can be a suitable strategy for folks who understands and can tahan holding paper losses for many years... but my challenges to you is this... precisely because of the long holding period... why need to rush when market is still uncertain? why the need to try extract maximum profits... assuming the next bull run is 10 yrs... 8 yrs of profits not good? y'all know this... buy low sell high, but this carry risk of low going lower... but I like to also quote... buy high sell higher, this of course you could be buying the top if too late... so for long term position play... for me the safer entry is buy after market has bottomed or recovery imminent... profit from 80% of the bull range is better than ok... think about your audjpy... Iirc, your 1st entry is the bounce right after after the parabolic bottom... but your subsequent adds to your position came much later when prices recovered and profit still a plenty... buy when you 'feel' is low enough is not good decision making process... don't think of it as a boat that you may miss... think of it as a train that you'll get on at next stop... as a further example, bro Ramjade bought goog during the big dip near the bottom few months ago... a very good buy and for a few months it was in good profit, but now under water... he has his own plans and I can understand and support... anyways... I tell you my friends... plenty of money out there... plenty of time to make money... the most important aspects are capital preservation and health... BTW I saw you asking about capitulation in the other thread... imho them 2 replies not so correct lah bro... hahaha... a lot of multi days and parabolic drops are not capitulation but manipulation... you can see immediately after are v shape type fast recoveries... real capitulation is when ppl lost hope and indifferent to any good news... you won't see such quick recoveries... so kanchiong chase market... I want be lazy investor also end up weekend hv to start digging info. what used to be so good.. eg AIMS i hold for 10 yrs already.. recently sold of more than half and start buying other stuff. For reits i will use div yield as a guide instead of chart. Hence trying to collect at bottom. if look at TA.. cannot buy.. red red red ..no recovery in sign yet. I really hv caught the falling knife. and yeah i am bleeding. i believe recovery will be supersonic V shape.. HOPETOLOGY although logic wise its pointing another way |

QUOTE(kart @ Nov 15 2022, 06:15 AM) This post is about Maybank Securities (formerly known as Maybank Kim Eng) trading accounts. Yes, the trading accounts may not be completely relevant with Singapore REITS, but we did discuss about Maybank Kim Eng trading accounts in earlier posts in this thread. i got the same email.. did not notice the IC thing..I have Maybank Securities cash prefunded trading account. Recently, I received an e-mail from MSSG Client Services Ops Dept <MSSG_clientservices@maybank.com>, requesting me to submit the following documents to Maybank Securities: - Maybank Securities Individual Account Update Form - CDP Update Account Particulars - Maybank Securities Tax Residency Self-Certification Form (CRS) - W-8BEN form The intention of Maybank Securities is to perform account periodic review and update of information. I have no issue to submit these forms, but I am also required to submit the copy of my MyKad notarised (certified true copy) by either: - Notary Public officially registered with the country’ s governmental institution - Advocates & Solicitors - Justice of Peace/Commissioner for Oaths - Embassy of Singapore Well, my personal particulars are same, and I am not sure why I have to submit Individual Account Update Form. For sure, I would need to pay the fee of getting the copy of my MyKad notarised. Is there a way to get the copy of my MyKad notarised free of charge, or there is no way for me to avoid paying the fee? Thank you for your information. |

QUOTE(TOS @ Apr 28 2023, 01:29 PM) As individual resident taxpayer in Malaysia, you don't have to declare S-REITs dividends in form BE even if you receive it via brokers in Malaysia. The reason can be found in guideline LHDN.AG.600-1/7/3 issued by LHDN. question is not about taxable or not. its about to declare or not.pros and cons :English version: https://www.hasil.gov.my/media/p0lntthw/202...d-amendment.pdf Malay version: https://www.hasil.gov.my/media/gggaite3/202...ara-pindaan.pdf Have a look at page 22 of English version: » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « And page 24 of the Malay version: » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « IRAS Singapore does not tax individuals for S-REITs dividends, so it's not subject to tax in Malaysia either. nEGARA: SINGAPORE Jenis Pendapatan : DIVIDEN cukai di bayar di negara asal : ya jumlan cukai dikenakan di negara asal : 0 (zero) amount pendapatan diremitkan... RM XXXXx so if the dividend is being REMITED to Msia.. have to declare? if dividend not remited back but sitting in SG.. no need to declare ? lets discuss since still hv time before submission |

QUOTE(Wedchar2912 @ Apr 28 2023, 02:04 PM) If your brokerage is in Malaysia, why not ask the brokerage for their opinion? The div is being remitted back to Msia bank as and when its received.Nonetheless, TOS did include the info above. essentially no need cos it is not taxable in the country of origin... that is verbatim from ldhn. Retiree but have not close the LHDN ac. This person have no broker. the shares were bought 20 yrs ago... the LHDN form 2022 clearly states: AMOUNT PENDAPATAN DI REMITKAN. so compile whole year 2022 and put the figure there? or dun bother ? |

QUOTE(Wedchar2912 @ Apr 28 2023, 02:38 PM) Honestly, if one is retired, and not flashy, it is basically one's luck if kena audit. Especially when one is old like 55 or 75. wei dangerous leh.. Like my case, I early retired already and receive no active income, so I declare zero income. I also don't remit any of my overseas assets back here, so I just declare zero. If kena audit, I also don't know what doc I am legally bounded to provide to them. u need keep all DOCUMENTS.. they press one button only. then they ask u to justify all yr assets overseas if cannot justify then will be lifestyle audit. |

QUOTE(TOS @ Apr 28 2023, 02:27 PM) Ok, I studied the tax forms further... I got the idea now. Ignore B14, B15 and B16c, leave those 3 rows empty. you are SUCH A GREAT HELP....If you receive dividends from S-REITs via Malaysia-based brokerage, you declare the S-REITs dividends you receive in bahagian K (part K). Should declare all dividends received throughout 2022, so yes, whole year 2022. Country code: SG Type of Income (Jenis Pendapatan): b) Dividen Tax paid In The Country Of Origin (Cukai Dibayar Di Negara Asal): 2 (No) Headline Tax Rate In The Country Of Origin (Kadar Cukai Headline Di Negara Asal): 17% (highest corporate tax rate in SG is 17%) Amount Of Tax Charged In The Country Of Origin: 0 Amount of Income Remitted: (Your SGD dividends received multiply by the SGD.MYR rate on the day you receive your S-REITs dividend in Malaysia) Source: LHDN, in particular you guys should read the BE 2022 Explanatory Notes. --------------------- For those receiving dividends via SG/US/UK/HK brokers, can just ignore bahagian K completely, since the dividends are paid to your foreign brokerage account and not brought back to MY anyway. For further details, need to ask our tax expert Hansel. give u plenty LIKE! btw the div is from SG BANKS.. same thing right?
