Still the same, i would say 60% of the ball reach his leg, he is going to lose it, but he work hard for the team and he score goals so no complain.


superb strike, need to teach TORRES a bit, he miss a lot of kick infront of goal already

As long as he dont do his walking pace game i think he did fine, but to play as CHELSEA DM i think he need to offer more, by just covering is not enough, as we got 2 past great DM in MAKELELE and ESSIEN where they cover, they press and most important they win back ball. RAMIRES has it but he dont have MIKEL height, strength and he tend go up field more. At the moment i think for tough games MIKEL + RAMIRES is the way, while LAMPARD can mix with either one to provide more firepower for games against lesser team which we expect to win. Dont dismiss LAMPARD, he still can provide those cutting edge pass and score goal. We would not have won UCL without his assist. Lastly i really hope MIKEL can up his tempo and offer more pressing and intercept.

ya we need a natural CF that can work well upfront in the middle.

i does not mean the UCL final itself, like the game vs BARCA, 1st leg he did a great vision pass to RAM that assist for DROGBA. 2nd leg the thru ball to RAM which he did a wonderful lob

Ya i also remember MIKEL do some long range pass in his early days and even some surging run with his OK dribbling, he also used to play as AMC with NIGERIA. But hopping him to provide assist like ALONSO is just too much to ask, there is not much DM that can pass like ALONSO anyway. His game is not about assist or goal, as long he did those press, cover, intercept then is fine. The only way for him to get goal will be improve his long shot, ESSIEN has a few thunderbolt but i cant really remember MAKELELE scoring either.

looks like we bought TORRES but forgot to buy his user manual (ALONSO & GERARD) Both have deadly long passes.

woot good news, MATA was not call up for national team, more rest and less chance of injury

hmmm so STUR is not signing new contract huh, i doubt he will be able to land a CF role in any top team if he left, unless he going for lower team else is the same warming at the bench, but seeing CHELSEA only have TORRES as CF i think the chances to play are still higher here compare to others top team with a few striker.

no limit in substitution/changing player like basketball ?

This i like partly have to thanks the Special One for that mentality, is gonna be very hard for someone to match his record of 150 games unbeaten at home league matches with 4 club spanning over 9 years and still winning major trophies

Like seeing MIKEL at his earlier year with us bringing ball forward with his dribbling, that will at least give him more option to pass rather than pass back to CB. I guess with RAM as his partner he know someone will cover for him but not the case with LAMP.

Looks like our BISON is getting praise at RM too, with more game time hope he return to his best (ESPN)

Our DM definitely did their job better than our striker is doing, last time blame no service, now with such a wonderful trident of MATA, HAZARD, OSCAR then DM get the blame, is DM job include providing assist to TORRES ? MIKEL game definitely has improve, guess after buy DM, we also can buy a GK than can assist too.

I think this 2 point u mention sum all his whole contribution in the match. At the moment TORRES was not good enough as CHELSEA first striker. He dont provide threat in his run, when ball reach his leg, u can almost expect he gonna lose it or doing nothing good out of it. Almost all the time we feel like playing without a striker. We can be such a monster team with a proper striker. Guess the bright side of TORRES sending off is STUR get to play and i dont think he will do any worse than TORRES is.

Actually i am quite satisfied with the player we have, this is not FM2013, u cant have world class player in all position. If i have to rate the top 3 BPL team base on their player now, it would be 1.MC, 2.CHE, 3.MANU. MANU does not seem like have a team of world class player but they are top of the league now for a reason. RM by far i rated as the best team for the players they have but they are not ECL champion, WE ARE !! Our player are not anyway inferior than others, is up to RDM to bringing out the best of them.

But TORRES need to be drop and let STUR play, he might miss a lot of chances but at least he made those chances happen, unlike TORRES now we are playing without a striker but STUR not signing new contract might contribute to him not get to play much.

I think it can be fix with football tactic by RDM, not necessary need to buy new player, MIKEL + RAM is good enough player for me. Is a new partnership hope they will improve and MIKEL has improve, better workrate and license to attack but he and RAM need to cover each other, 2 up front then we will be in trouble when get counter.

I think only RVP is the killer he can score from a lot of position, ROONEY also can but he roam too much. But i think MC have the better striker force in BALO, TEVEZ, AGUERO, DZEKO. Other than DZEKO, 3 of those like RVP can score from a lot of position, is very hard to defend against.

a few reason, his age, injury record, and mostly TORRES

We got 4 defender and MIKEL get the blame as the weakest link for leaking goal ? we got 3 wonderful AM and MIKEL get the blame for TORRES not scoring. Yes he do share some fault in some of the goal conceded but I think MIKEL has the attribute to make a good DM and he show improvement with his workrate and passing recently, but in the other end, TORRES has lost all the attribute to be a CF. So which one need a more urgent fix ?

Yea we are pretty short in DM and CF, but that is after the club decided to let ESSIEN and LUKAKU out on loan. Maybe bad for now, but could be better for the future if they get more game time and come back fitter.

But of course if we can get ALONSO, PIRLO, MAKELELE all would be very happy, but at the moment i am satisfied with MIKEL + RAM, and i believe they will improve. Given money to sign 1 player at January window, definitely is going to be a CF, be it big money or not but must be the player that able to start ahead of TORRES. No point buy another CF and let him sit on the bench.

If MIKEL injured it will surely be RAM + LAMP, ROMEU is really rusty against SWANSEA but that why he is called backup/reserve although we did see him play better before than the one he did against SWANSEA under AVB.

Whether is getting backup or replacement for MIKEL is still fixing a working DM and left a not working CF on the field. So why not remain the working DM on the field and get a working CF ? And i dont think any club will be worrying about their backup than their first eleven, unless is a long term injury.
