Just got my X4 from Cyntrix. I must say the sound quality is freaking awesome even without proper burn in. Even my low quality MP3s sound much better with this set of speakers.

Now u need flac quality source. Or a good DAC
*
Are you using it with any DAC? The X4 sounds awesome when paired with my 6 years old iMac. However, sounds meh only when paired with Asus maximus V formula onboard hmm.gif

Still trying out the best configuration for x4. As it is still new, it is still not sounding as good as the fully burned in ones at Cyntrix. sweat.gif

cause u use 3.5mm right? and do u use ASIO and flac sound? or even better CD?
*
Yup, using 3.5mm with onboard sound on Asus MVF. Somehow it is not as bassy compared to pairing with my 6 years old iMac. Perhaps iMac uses better onboard sound chip hmm.gif

Now i am redownloading most of my songs in FLAC format. Just tried out Zee Avi - Siboh Kitak Nangis. Sounds slightly better than my 192k MP3. (maybe becuz my onboard can't drive these speakers)

Thinking of getting USB DAC first since i am still noob in audiophile. Btw between T-muso DAC PCM2704 and Light DAC 24/96 Sabre ES9023, which should i buy? I am listening mostly to classical music, with occasional R&B and rock.

Hmmmm, Totally super clear, i sitting infron of com even though is a 2.0 setup but the sound is like set in the middle if i play song.
THe sound is very wide and clear and neutral not on the bright side nor warm side.
My putpose on iDAC is because i got Headphone and i got speaker i need a hybird DAC yet is portable, so i got myseld the iDAC.
If in future i would like to expan i just need to top up with another unit of AMp for my headphone

Got X sub? Even we don't know lol. But it's a given, excellent system missing a sub to complete the crave for bass.

Ronnie, get a tube dac for classical music. High detail dac with a high detail speaker can make it sound too aggressive and analytical.
We will send the demo there sometime next week. They should update Facebook once arrived.

Thx for the suggestion bro. Come let me test ur collection can? drool.gif

i am having a very bad experience with my swan d1080 - iv =(. i wont want to be spending too much speaker on this brand

Mind sharing your experience? From my personal experience from owning a pair of X4, the stock cable is not durable at all. Thankfully cyntrix is willing to do 1:1 exchange for the cable.
