Just curious, for the M200 Mark II need to get an amplifier for it or just connect it to PC and can work liao?

One more thing, what's the minimum DAC requirement to drive that speaker nicely...in terms of price tongue.gif

p/s: What does it mean by "M200Mk2 - RM 729 (Pair, Active Crossover)" ? Meaning RM729 for 2 speakers or I have to pay RM729X2? tongue.gif

What sort of DAC should I be looking at to drive the M50w nicely, perhaps an Asus Essence STX?

Hi all, I am planning to get subwoofer for my M200MKII, any suggestion? The price for H6 sub is too expensive for me  shocking.gif  thanks  biggrin.gif

Since when M200 Mk II can add in a subwoofer? Heavyarm told me that there's no adequate connection for a subwoofer sweat.gif

For RM1k budget, what suitable for music and gaming? To be spesific, music> gaming. Tried M50W before, not really impressive. Plus, the problem is the bass behind the sub so it's something I want to avoid.

I memang tarak suka M50W, M200 Mark II is so much better for music (entry level Hifi quality) but lacking a subwoofer.

And try to spend a good amount on DAC too smile.gif

Anyone else still active here? Lol

I need advice between X3 and M200 Mark 2. Usage is for music primarily and I have tried the M200 Mk2 before and it's awesome.

Yo! They are very different. X3 doesn't sound like the MK2. It doesn't deliver as much bass. However it is significantly smaller than the MK2 and would free up a lot of desk space.

Thanks, do you have a how showroom where I can test them both? brows.gif

Also, in the mid range department, which is better? I'm looking for balanced sound signature, warm is OK, as I'll be using for music smile.gif

We are revamping our new office to have a retail show room of all the audio products that we carry. Until then, we would ask that you visit our partner Heavy Arm at Subang to audition. Now we are going to introduce a new review campaign. If you want to take home to test the speaker, we can arrange for that.

Based on your brief description, you are probably looking at the D1080-IV or M200MK2. One at RM 500+ one at RM 800+. The D1080-IV uses MK3's driver and has a flare port. It delivers a lot more bass than anything else within the price range. But it has upfront mids and more direct in your face sound signature. The MK2 is more laid back. D1080 may be warmer than the MK2

Thanks. Is the M200 Mk 2 suitable for a nearfield/desktop/computer environment? I mean I'll put it on my computer table and I hope my table doesn't shake due to the bass lol. My table width is 31 inches hmm.gif

Just got the Mark 2 biggrin.gif It's for my small room.

Any advise on positioning? Do I have to leave like 1 feet gap behind to the wall?

Also, do I need speaker stands for this ? As now, I just place the speakers on a stool and on top of some books to increase the height hmm.gif

Got my Swans D1080-iv today and holyshit the sound quality and the feels you get is damn super awesome.

And the staff working at cyntrixtech is amazingly attentive and provide tons of information and advice about the speaker helping me to choose between them. Super nice guy his name is Phang btw.

The staff at heavyarm is crazily good also he handle whole shop by himself and will help you with any problems you have. Matter of fact today there is some problems that if he didn't now solve it in time i might come back with another speaker and less satisfy with it.

Could not say enough good stuff about the cyntrix and heavy arm.

Customer service is definitely 5 start out of 5 star.

Swans Hivi has limited reviews online but i spend a solid 1 and a half hours there listening to them, every single one of them is very good at what it suppose to do and at that price range. It out performs most speaker priced higher than it.

D1080-iv specifically i can tell you it is wayyyy better compare to soundstick 3, logitech z623 and also the altec lancing c3. Way better. Try it yourself at heavyarm to understand how much i recommend it.

Did you try the M200 Mark 2??

yup i did the only one i didnt is the m50 and the x4 i think. i can't afford so i don't wanna try but i still tried the mark ii because i don't have self control haha.

The sound is good but bass is not there compare to d1080 or m10 and i don't really have the budget nor i want to splash another few hundred for a sub.
*
It's true that the 1080 has higher bass output but the bass quality of the M200 is excellent biggrin.gif

Anyway, enjoy your speaker, I got mine today too. Was there auditioning from 4pm till like 5 something lol
