QUOTE(thebugbud @ Oct 17 2012, 09:13 PM) Hi, Did you leave any USB or other device/s plugged in the cigarette lighter slot after you leave your car? Need a help from sifu here. Since I have gotten my Preve CFE in July, I have encountered 2 occurrences where my battery was drained flat. The 1st was 2 months old and the latest was yesterday which is 4 months old. In this 2 occurrences, I did jump started the car and let it charged then everything is back to normal. Wonder if anyone encounter similar problems and possible to share your experience in resolving the problem. Thanks. I also notice that radio can still be 'on' after we switched off the engine. Also make sure all lights are off too. Added on October 18, 2012, 9:52 pm QUOTE(Saya_Dhuang @ Oct 18 2012, 08:16 PM) Rich is now officially small time taikor now.. QUOTE(deity01 @ Oct 22 2012, 10:11 AM) I tried to remove the limewater (not the fruit juice!!!!!) from my car bonnet last saturday with vinegar + water at ratio of 1:1, and it works!! Thanks for the very useful info and sharing. Where can we paste this for future reference? here is wat hv I did: 1. go giant buy small bottle of giant brand vinegar at rm1.5 2. go home and mix the vinegar with water at ratio of 1:1 3. take a cloth and dip it into the mixture and then rub the affected area gently (i mean it!!) 4. wash the spot that you hv cleaned once the tough limewater is removed cause i dont know what will the mixture do to the paint of the car if it stays for too long on it. 5. after done cleaning the stains, gv your lovely car a bath.... p/s: use only white vinegar, please dun use chinese black vinegar, I dunno what with happen to ur car if u use it..lol the limewater leaked from the ceiling of my office car park and it kena my car bonnet, and it was not the usual limewater, it is rather thick, but i think is should be same as the other limewater so i ignore it and leave it more than 16 hours then only I go to clean it....i overlooked it and i guess it cause the limewater to become tough stain... please wear hand gloves. I hv a few limewater spots on my car, each need to rub about 3-5 mins..so about 20mins i finger start to hv some pricking pain feeling, so it is advisable to wear hand gloves... if you hv very tough stain, then u can increase the vinegar vs water ratio.. please make sure the cloth that you use to rub the affected area will not decolorize..i am not sure, perhaps is because the vinegar tats make the cloth that i use decolorized..and the color "eat" abit into the car paint at the time i rub an affected area with force, luckily it is just a small area and you can hardly hardly see it...after i gently rub other areas then everything is fine.. |

QUOTE(WilsonCheah @ Oct 22 2012, 02:32 PM) HAHA i always overtake Eagle Team car cz they drove too slow lo. One fine Sunday morning, I had breakfast in kepong baru with my family. After breakfast, we passed by the proton showroom. Then, I asked the salesman, and said ' I heard proton coming out with a new 1.6 model, right?'. He said ' yes'. I said ' ok, I will place order for one unit. Premium model. Ok'. He said ' Wah, you are the first person to order wor'. I just smiled back. Seriously, never seen the car. Anyway no car to see or test drive yet. No catalogue to see also. After 2 weeks, I came to collect my car. The salesman again ' Wah you are the first person to collect your car wor.' I just smiled back again. One tip for everyone : u left the engine running to charge the battery, its useless. it dont work. go drive the car around so the mechanism runs ( i dont know what is it called , the alternator or charger or something. this is what the wiring tech told me. and from Toyot 3S center, pls drive ur car always because new car also battery can KO if you drive too short distance daily or u park it at home too much. -.- ) Haha I never test drive any car before i decided to buy Preve. Call my SA : eh Preve how much? got stock? White ah! ok la. confirm. u go do the documentation la. ok bye. few days later only he bring a test drive for me cz i wanted to show my boss. wahahahahahaah On side note, Dugong and City hoh, saw me on right lane, mmg dont want to give way wan. have to high light few times. -.- A lots of people are surprised the way I brought my car. I must say, I am a risk taker. Luckily, the car turns out a lots better than my wira when sit in it for the first time. Though it have some minors issue here and there, but I am happy with it. I used to hate turbo car due to high maintenance. Luckily the salesman did not tell me it comes with turbo. If he did, I won't buy it. Ha ha ha. |

QUOTE(mat79 @ Oct 24 2012, 08:38 AM) actually, u can hear whether the cvt work more or less to match engine speed. If u heard the engine roar a bit until it reach desired speed, and the sound become less audible, then its already match the ratio. But if u gradually pressed, u can hear the engine sound less audible coz cvt work less to match the ratio coz engine speed gap between cvt ratio is not apparent. Sorry, not really good in explaining. Thank you Mat79 for the priceless information every time, i am still learning too.. |

QUOTE(fysim @ Oct 24 2012, 03:14 PM) I am the guinea pig for VIP (KK) Custom Car Cushion. how much is the damage? They are measuring the seat dimension to make custom leather seat for my Preve CFE. For the seat side airbags, they are going to install hidden plastic zippers so that the side airbag can still deploy. Said that they use same plastic zipper method for Merc & BMW cars. Leather seat cushion should be ready in 7 - 10 days time. |

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Good morning ! and Selamat Hari Raya Haji to all muslims here ! @Bro Mat79 or any expert here, This is my first time driving a car with CVT gb. I just want to know what are the common issues with CVT and how can we lengthen the lifespan of our CVT gb. Is it always using 'S' mode or constantly shifting between Auto and Steptronic will cause the lifesapn to be shorter? |

QUOTE(jameskj @ Oct 25 2012, 10:27 AM) Morning all, Spraying the exhaust only takes about 20 minutes or so. Only the waiting part is long. I done mine at COSE, that also have to keep on insisting. Anyone knows how long it will take for SC to paint the rusty exhaust holder? I requested them to paint it during my first service. Even showed them photos of it. Apparently they forgot, but in the invoice they mentioned job done. Lead mechanic said just send the car in next time... The disappointing part was that I left my car in SC for 3 days to change OWV issue and they can't even paint the exhaust holder. Tried making appointment with Sec 13 PJ service center, can't get through to their phone line at all. Called i-Care and they said there's a problem with Sec 13 SC's phone. C'mon, buck up Proton and improve your service! This post has been edited by rich8833: Oct 25 2012, 12:01 PM Attached thumbnail(s) |
