Yo everybody... New XGO user here. Black, bought at Sony Centre, LYP yesterday

Good to be here, great to own this new mobile. Chose it due to overall performance vs. price and its ruggedness. Will familiarize myself to it first, should have tons of question regarding it as it is is my first "smartie mobile"

Thanks for the warm welcome. Yeah, the mobile itself also reminded me when i started to use one of its connection

Just wondering if you all here upgraded your android version? Or just leave it at GB for now?

I see... Yeah, other Android users also told me not to go ICS. Since XGO Sifu's also say so, i shall listen and obey, hehehe... Let's see how JB will go later. Again thnks

Btw, applications/widgets for front page kinda limited. Or is it i dont know how to personalize???

Yeah, about one day or less a bit... I tried to shut off WiFi everytime after using it and check > force shutdown some applications from time-to-time, helps a lil. Also make sure lock unit after use

Yeah... In terms of display and interface, i feel that XGO (in fact other similar range Sony) is much better comparing with Samsung's Ace (similar league) or S3 mini (one or few notch up). A lil "gatal" to upgrade already, eyeing on ZL...

I was also thinking to tweak XGO kaw kaw and exploit, oops... explore it. But maybe will hand over to mum as her mobile phone also almost KO already. That way will have better reason to upgrade

I tried playing with XION (should be somewhere Z/ZL size and feel) the other day at SC, it seems bulky and akward. Maybe for now only since i just started to get use to my XGO

Funny, i prefer the ZL on paper. In terms of size and feature i.e. cam shutter release, non glass rear, etc. Maybe its lower price tag also playing a role as well, hahaha...

Yeah... I heard about its price range too. Ifags and higher end Samseng users sure laugh hard at us Sony enthusiast one. IP5 i still OK OK, but no interested. But S3 i memang tak nak layan at all

Hmm... Dont know why, but Samseng users still treat us Sony below par. Maybe because they are more matured when it comes to smartphone tech??? But i disagree, i feel that in terms of growth, Sony is better (IMHO). Maybe Sony could streamline on their models and focus on improvement rather than variety though...

Yeah, true... As for me, i handled a few times Samsung's devices and not really liking it regardless which model. As for Sony, feel more comfortable with it overall

Oh... I am not sure its RRP. I got the lite pack (w/o car charger) for RM750. Surveyed some other LYP merchants, going for RM790-RM800 including some freebies. I prefer to save some instant cash instead so went with this

I see... Yeah, they are so familiar in the smartphone market. I actually didnt like Android devices before this. I thought die lar... I need to become an Ifag liao. But once i tried Xperia, i had a different perspective. Usability and practicality, Sony is still the way to go IMHO

Btw, a funny incident led me to Sony immediately the other day when i bought my XGO. Was at the service centre level at LYP. When pass thru Samsung's lot, fuyooo... Sooooo many people. And mostly sorting out their phone/tab issues one. I straight sway away, hahaha...

I find my XGO getting laggy overtime (i mean comparing now to the day i started using it), is that normal?

Very basic actually...
Socializing stuffs > Whatsapp, Viber, Skype, etc
imaging stuffs > Photo editing, etc
Organizing stuffs > Business calender, notepads, etc
A lil games only

Problem i face frequently is pre-mature ending of game playing > Half way playing, just hang and jump out. And recently cam function is kinda weird, slow in preparing it for shooting when i activate and exposure measurement/compensation is not accurate

In fact, my XGO quite basic and empty one. Oh... I do restart from time-to-time and yeah, performance does gets better for awhile. Also frequently check "manage applications" and "running services" to ensure no unuse ones running. How about uninstalled apps??? Do they still interfere or take up our device's resources???

Yeah... It works. But do i have to keep doing so always??? No automated method???

Oh my... Sorry for the bad news. Maybe keep cash and instead upgrade to Z/ZL???
