Getting Started

Hello all, I used to use batteries to charge up the wireless xbox controllers, then I went and got myself the Xbox 360 Play & Charge Kit(black), but the battery went dead when I stopped playing for about 6months, so I just used the cable to play and now after 2 years the cable is no longer functioning. I asked this shopkeeper and he told me that it wasn't an original and he said that if it was original then it wouldnt have died. I just wanna know whether if that is true and how do I differentiate the difference between the fake and the original? Second, if that is not true is it better if I were to just get a rechargeable battery(got any reccomendations, I need to know the price comparison and etc). Thank you all in advance

Fake or original, this thing dies even before RROD struck. Avoid it.

QUOTE(greyshadow @ Sep 5 2012, 05:08 PM) Sanyo Eneloop batts FTW! i was gonna to say that as well, the batt very good at retaining the power after several years. I mostly active on PC, so only few time i touch it each month, and most battery died b4 i can play it again. The shopkeeper just said that not original = quality no good = cepat rosak. For your option, if u keep getting headache about the battery and charging thingy, buy a Xbox360 controller for PC that are wired, plug in terus the USB into Xbox to use, no need batt or charge batt. Alternatively just get SAnyo Eneloop battery.

In my case, the battery also died after three month of no usage. Currently wired the controller. It's lighter though. Battery is heavy!
