when i do exercises with dumb bells like bicep curls, i find that late in my second set or early in my third set my grip on the dumb bells would give. i wear gloves. is it because the weights that i use are too heavy? or am i holding the dumb bells wrong?

you most likely have weak grip. add more grip-centric accessory work such as heavy high-rep dumbell rows, heavy farmer walks and/or deadlifts.

Hold a hoe upside down. Insert big plates into the stick and walk around in the gym for 2 minutes. Repeat this 3 times

I tried this yesterday but she kept screaming some nonsense about getting dizzy.

You need to hold longer, after the initial state of dizziness it will be silence.
purpose is to ensure you focus correctly, if you're distracted by the screaming you failed.

lose the gloves, it makes it harder to grip. calluses actually help as long as it doesn't break, your skin will get stronger too (true story).
