Hi just received the item. Its very nice and make you hair easy to style. And have a nice smell too. Been experimenting with it, just note that to prevent your hair became crispy (like gel does) make sure you dry your hair thoroughly first.

Hello LYN,

Just to share some info/experience to support this fellow LYN member. After months of admiring and researching about the Pampadour hairstyle, decided to give Maison hair style studio a try. I stay in Subang and well, there's a famous barber in SS15 known for this kinda haircut but the hassle of getting a slot via appointments and the waiting time just put me off.

Anyways, called Alex (who I assume is the TS) and he gave me directions to get there. It was kinda hard to find with the construction going but managed to get there eventually. The place is not as "barber-looking" as you would imagine.. as it has the typical salon feel to it. Maybe because there are other female hairstylists and customers. (Not putting you down bro Alex, just managing expectations of future potential customers). I thought i must be in the wrong place..

Then came in Alex donning the Suavecito t-shirt which gave me a relief! He was at the back on a cig break, i think. Told him what i wanted, showed him a picture and he started to cut. It was my first time so the process is quite delicate and I appreciate that he took his time to get into the details. He explained on how to style it and the diff types of pomade to use. He used Layrite which had a good smell but was advised to get Suavecito for starters (which is cheaper). Paid for the haircut, Suavecito Firme Hold and a long comb as my starter kit.

All in all, I was a happy customer and Alex will be my regular barber from now on with this hairstyle.

Cheers.

Cool that you were to research on how to play with it. Yes if you use it on perfectly dry hair, it doesn't harden much. If the product is activate with water it can become hard all day long to hold. So you have 2 type of usage depends on preference. =)

Anyway i hope you enjoy your product.

We don't have any at the moment. If you were to really like pure matte effect i believe clay/mud/quicksand will be good. Or if you meant for less shinier pomade but not totally matte, i can recommend Schimere, but its a grease type pomade. We are awaiting stocks for that at the moment.

If you still have doubts, drop by at our shop so we can show you all you need. We have all variety of styling products.

No prob bro. Yup, see you in a month's time. Currently experimenting with Suavecito and Layrite (my lil bro bought them).

Any thoughts/recommendations on mixing pomades? Liking the Layrite smell but prefer the Suavecito hold. Have not tried mixing them yet..

Its up to your imagination to play with it. Anything you can do with a pomade. We can even use it on girls hair for styling.

Hai may I ask minimum how long can a 4oz last, how many month or week average?

2. Is it really easy to wash off? Bcs I heard some people say even after a few wash it is still there in the hair? Hard to wash off????

3. My friend going to KL soon but don't know where is ur shop & he has no car. Is it ok to COD at LRT near to your shop, willing to pay more for ur trouble??? PM icon_rolleyes.gif

This maybe be out of topic for abit. Im interested of getting Suavecito pomade for myself. However, I have not cut my hair for pompadour/slick back hair style. Im worried this kind of hair style does not suit with my long face (sharp chin). Should I go for it? WHat's your opinion?

A can probably last you for a month plus to 2 months depends on your hair style/length and the usage.

Which part of KL is your friend will be? I assume is downtown kl, i can direct you to our resellers there. You have few options - The Supersundays SSCG @ Monorail Bukit Bintang, Showroom @ 6th floor Times Square. Kronoz @ Fahrenheit Parkamaya 4th floor.

Well, the best option if you can drop by to our shop and i can give advice base on what i see. Its hard to imagine your overall face shape and hair though.

Else, if you are not from PJ, you can inbox me some snapshots of you. smile.gif
