I've been using it ever since 2007. Everything works good, no sudden false alarm so far.

Why i used bluguard? Because the other option was ADT but they had a monthly charge for monitoring. Since bluguard has a function for calling you when it trips during arm mode, thats why i chose it.

I was using bluguard b4 and it trigger some false alarm, mostly due to the PIR. Maybe not related to bluguard.

Currently I am using paradox, so far no problem. But in term of function wise I bet bluguard beat paradox.

Checked with ADT at Mid Valley fair yesterday.
Installation is cheap but they insist on monthly maintenance fee of RM 75.

Might check put this brand.
Any idea how much more the installer will charge to conceal the wiring ?

i dont mind having another paperwork to compare with. what i am after is a good installation. i have experienced some sloppy jobs and the alarm system rendered useless completely after 1yr due false alarm and connection to the sensor keep disc.

Guys, please be careful when it comes to BluGuard. Apparently there are different quality of BluGuard out there. The main component is the circuit board. BluGuard is Malaysian made home alarm system. However there is a cheaper "clone" version of the circuit board from China which cost only about RM300? The original locally made circuit board cost around RM900.
Please insist on the original board bcos it has built in surge protection mechanism. For originals, insist on the serial number and call up BluGuard HQ to verify the serial number.
China circuit board of BluGuard will "fry" easily if your house is prone to lighting strike zone. And the repair will be costly if not may even change the whole system.
So beware.

thanks for the heads up. lets say i can only verify the board serial after paying a minimum deposit, whatever it may be and turn out it was indeed a clone, that is a good as money down the drain, unless the installer willing to give the real deal.

RM1,800 including wiring conceal?
RM1,800 is very cheap for V16N.

V16N allow the system to support up to 16 zones. By default its only 8 zones i think.
Later you can upgrade by adding a card i think to make it 16 zones.

Can give contact for your installer who quoted you RM1,800? I am also in the midst of comparing prices.

I got quoted RM2,800 for V16N. Conceal wiring with piping.
But i thought it is just too expensive after I have mentioned to the installer of china products.

So guys, please beware of the system that the installer is selling to you.

Anyone can recommend a reasonable alarm installer in Ipoh? One shop gave me a ballpark figure of rm 3300 with 18 points plus console one siren, casing wiring. It seems so much more expensive than what you're talking about in klang valley.

Bro, alarm price cannot based on floor area, u must give how many windows n door that u want to arm as detail as possible. Unless u want to opt for perimeter alarm.

I would recommend bluegard. Its good n d price is reasonable plus it0is a local product.

looking at 24 points you have there, its for semi-d size? i dont have the model but should be V16N. my price is much more cheaper compare to what i got from fair.

i believe V16N is 8 zones with expandable option and comes with partition. V9 only 8 zones with no expansion and partition options.

Tumpang thread a while...

I bought a sub-sale house last year with Blueguard alarm system already installed. Currently I am not using it because there is problem with 2 sensors up in the roof, it will keep activated.

So anyone know any good and reasonable price contractor/supplier/vendor who can come to my place to service the system and solve the problem? My area is in Shah Alam.

TQ and good luck hunting your alarm system.

I plan to install Bluguard Smarthome T32 in my house at Melaka but 3 Bluguard authorised installer in Melaka refused to install it because they don't know how to configure the Home Automation System. So, I follow the Bluguard facebook and I notice that it has an exhibition on December 7, 2014 at Setia City Mall. I am willing to go there and make a reservation but unfortunately they still failed to install it until now because there are procedures whereby only Melaka installer can install the alarm in my house in melaka because it will facilitate the after sale service.
The promotion package price that I get is very satisfying for RM4,588.00 (after rebate RM300.00 and it including installation)
1) Bluguard Smarthome T32 (16 Zone) Main Board - 1 unit
2) Transformer & Batery - 1 unit
3) LCD Keypad - 2 units
4) Indoor Siren - 1 unit
5) TCP/IP Converter & Application - 1 set
6) 7" LCD Touchpad - 1 unit (Promo Free Gift)
7) Outdoor Siren Set - 1 unit
8) Sensor Points - 15 + 1 units (request extra 1 unit)
9) Home Automation Points Wiring - 2 units (I plan to plus another 1 point wiring and it cost me RM150.00)

I also plan to put 2 units PIR Motion Detection in my house and it cost me RM300.00 but is it necessary? any comment?

Motion sensor is necessary. I installed mine at the corner wall of the staircase going to the 1st floor. So if anybody goes up the stairs when the alarm is on...it will trigger the siren.

I do like Bluguard Smarthome T32 compared to others series :

1) It's come with more programmable Zone - up to 16 & Home Automation - 4
2) View the Zone & Home Automation by vocabulary setting. i.e simply change the "Zone 1" to "Master Bedroom" and "HA 1" to "Front Light" for our easy reference.
3) of course the Home Automation.... it comes with 4 point. It's means to integrated the home automation that automated your home appliances i.e to control turn on/off your light from other place with 2 methods - 1) by internet software 2) by telephone line.
4) Arming the system by many methods - i.e away arming, day arming, night arming, force arming and holiday arming.
5) No need GSM Module - to report to you when the alarm trigger due to it's come with warning by your home fixed tel line. Not one hp no, but it up to 4 hp no.
6) To program Auto Arm/Disarm by time you choose.
........ and many more that you can read it on it's product spec.
The final price I got it - RM4350.00 (without 7" LCD Touchpad) as I mention earlier because it more practical by my smartphone.

The best way you can call Mr Steave - Bluguard HQ 03-80791919. He will not give you the price. He will arrange the nearest installer or autorised dealer for you.

Hi guys
I am currently looking for an alarm system for an intermediate double storey terrace. Can anyone give me a cost estimation which includes hardware, installation and wiring for the system ? A rough idea on the number of points required by me :

1)Doors (2 Units)
2)Windows with Grille ( about 12 units)
3)Sliding door 14' x 8' (eventually with grill 1unit)
4)PIR (2-3 unit)
4)Internet protocol preferred

I will appreciate if you can itemized the cost so that it will be easy for me to extrapolate in the event that i need more points (especially the wiring cost).

Streamyx and Unifi Lite got no public IP, even u did port forwarding also useless.
U need to buy Bluguard P2P, not IPPro.

Or u need to upgrade ur Unifi to 30Mbps Unlimited Plan, RM89/mth..
Even the 30mbps basic plan 79/mth also got no public IP.

By right, their stupid P2P was a failure in the first place. Their stupid tech will ask you to off/on the device then it will work again for a month or so. If Archtron (Blueguard) is a responsible company should have done a recall and replace it FOC. Instead they just keep silent. I have already BAN this stupid company as my supplier. And you know what, if over warranty they will charged rm50 and changed the chip imeddiately. If under warranty, foc but takes 3 days. Wasting their customer precious time & travelling cost if far from Puchong.

Some TIME fiber modem block the DTMF..

If u are using UNIFI and got this issue, just contact TM ask them to change other modem.

If u can't access the [User Setting] mean ur P2P firmware is not the latest version.
U can send the P2P module back to bluguard for fimrware upgrade.

For P2P, u cant disable arm/disarm notification, only the old model IPPRO can do.

The alarm is connected to a phone sim card using huawei b618 wireless modem. It works on Digi before they implement VoLTE. At one point they can still turn off volte n it works for a while. But after that the whole network get upgraded n it never worked since. Tested with Digi, Celcom n unifi prepaid.

Yes, this method no longer work.
Telco block something.
We also can't do anything.
Maybe u can consider to add a P2P module, and connect to ur 4g router for app control and notification.

We also can't do anything.

Then what you recommend? Don’t seem like many good choices out there.

Use a land line phone to check for dial tone, ie check for in and outgoing whether is working fine using test calling

If is not working, call unifi.

If is working, then the dialer module has to be changed ... for paradox alarm.
