I try to do this as often as I could, usually it is easier when I am alone and walking.
It is like watching your life on a TV, which is a 5D version of it, as all 5 of your senses are used, you just sit back relax and enjoy.
But most of the time, life just caught up with me.
Sometimes it allows me to choose my perception, for example I see a sexy girl, then I am aroused, which is natural then I feel fear which I believe is programmed, then I ask myself, do I want to feel aroused and fear and I choose something else.
Instead of fear, I replace it with delight or fun.

I also noticed that you make your situation, it is not situation happening to you.

not really, actually you will continue to feel happiness or sadness, and get to choose to keep it or leave it.

So T/s , I find it hard to understand what ur trying to say. But are you asking me to look at myself as a 3rd person and try to be someone else in my own body ?
