Hi guys, few months ago i went to workshop which i never go before to change tire. Everything goes fine until someone told me that my tires are not suitable to be used. The average year of the tire are 15 years, the workshop boss charge me 130 for each tire, 13 inch 1. Is it legal for selling overage tire to other? I'm new to car thing so can someone guide to me for this?

So, you've got tyres manufactured in 2001, 2002, 2003 and another in 2002.

You got duped baaaaaaaaaaad. People don't use tyres that old.

For your info, for car safety, the manufacturer will only recommend a tyre's useful life is about 3 years (although you can use it until 4 - 5 years) . From my understanding, a tyre usually have a warranty period of 3 years from the date of purchase.

It seems like you're being cheated by this tyre shop. I suggest that you go to another tyre shop, ask them to double check the manufacturing date. If confirm these tyres are manufactured in 2001 / 2002 / 2003, you take your bill and go back to this tyre shop and ask them to change the tyres immediately!

Record down your conversation between u n shop operator, go complain to consumer tribunal o which ever that can make it big
