Apple has a programme to replace iPods that no longer hold a charge (even when out of the warranty period. Below is a cut-and-paste from the Apple support website. The programme is available in Malaysia although I'm not sure how much it would cost here. In the US it's USD59. Not cheap but better than having to buy another iPod I guess....

iPod Out-of-warranty Battery Replacement Program

gotta be honest....the last time i asked if i could change batteries, the guy said it'll cost a few hundred. why is it so expensive? might as well just buy a new one. besides if u sent in for battery replacement, its not guaranteed u'll get your original back. correct me if i'm wrong

but if your battery is screwed...your ipod is screwed....and how much does it cost to have it replaced by Apple ? quite a bit right...might as well save a bit more and get a whole new unit..

OR..

replace the battery youself.. biggrin.gif
