QUOTE(nicyhl @ Sep 3 2012, 03:28 PM) Just curious. Since a phone is not that cheap. do you guys invest in any " Anti-theft softwares" , Which one is the best to use in Malaysia? try prey project, it is free and can use it on your laptop and desktop as wellQUOTE(IwanAGP @ Sep 3 2012, 03:29 PM) Nexus is much much much easier to deal with. Note so many 'conditions' before one can go custom. Nexus just download toolkit install driver Click click click within 5 mins you can be on Custom ROM d Note got the EMMC problem. Do anything wrong then Brick. Nexus simply flash also won't brick provided your battery dont die off while flashing |

QUOTE(mikeeeee @ Sep 5 2012, 02:25 AM) Just gotta love the battery life i'm running on CNA nightlies 09032012 tooCna nightlies on stock speed n voltage » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « i always run in conservative mode with 320mhz to 1ghz, a bit slow but still very smooth gonna try to undervolt later see if its stable or not, anything need to take note of when undervolt? for desktop it is usually freeze/crash or restart, how about Gnex? Added on September 5, 2012, 9:42 am QUOTE(Dannyl @ Sep 5 2012, 08:48 AM) What's your screen brightness? thanks for the info, i dont think i need the traffic info since i got no time to look at the phone while i'm drivingAdded on September 5, 2012, 8:54 am Sygic works in most places. Waze works mostly in cities, not many POIs for suburban areas. But Waze's social traffic info is useful if concerned with traffic jams, road hazards, etc. does sygic still need to load map on the go using 3g or already have preloaded map when i get the app? QUOTE(IwanAGP @ Sep 5 2012, 10:00 AM) Sygic got offline map. i dont think poi is a concern for me if i know where to go but dont know the direction Waze is free. Your choice. But searching poi in waze requires internet connection. Besides that, navigation is fine. Just that it won't choose the best route based on real time traffic info. QUOTE(nickcct @ Sep 5 2012, 10:01 AM) then sygic sounds good to me, so the current GPS apps that is frequently updated is sygic and waze? hope they dont dissapoint me when i go to putrajaya/cyberjaya, oh man....i hate this 2 places |

QUOTE(BladeRider88 @ Sep 5 2012, 11:11 AM) Are you going to use "ahem" or original Sygic? I use Papago M9 and it serve me quite well when i am on a trip to KL *ahem* laQUOTE(IwanAGP @ Sep 5 2012, 11:38 AM) I rate waze and sygic higher because of user interface.Way ahead of papago. But papago map is released by malfreemaps once a month. Sygic map not quite updated. Waze is considered good because users can add poi, most of the recents places are there. Waze also can search poi from Facebook or foursquare, Google maps so poi list there is abundant compared to offline gps. maybe will give waze a try, my data limit is 1.5gb hope it doesn't take up much data transferQUOTE(mikeeeee @ Sep 5 2012, 12:00 PM) indoor, I normally use 10% if like that better dont try undervolt when u undervolt and if it become unstable, it will be the same like desktop, either freeze or crash and if u set those values along with boot, u might boot loop. However, I'm over the stage of Undervolting ... to me it bring more harm than benefit as u don't really gain much battery from UV (based on my own experience) and if you are hit with 1 freeze/crash/reboot , then all your battery saving is gone Underclocking on the other hand works better for juice saving. underclock really helps a lot, although it slow down the operation |
