PROS:
- nice acrylic colour
- good cuttings

CONS:
- switch is totally off
- wires are meant to be at the back not sides
- wiring too messy (inside)
- no expansion options

not too bad for a 1st mod, its kinda messy, as in the wires, and there is no possibility of expansion.

Yeah, i found that out the hard way when i wanted to change my DVD drive. but since i built it i knew where i had to rip out first.haha. Haven't had time to rewire the inside yet..actually..there is no power switch yet..just connecting 2 exposed ends to turn on the rig.can't find a nice on/off switch yet. Any ideas anyone? super plain huh...was wondering how to make it more exciting? "si fu" out there pls guide me!!

That's really nice man. I've actually been thinking of doing an acrylic case but the thought of all that acrylic shavings full of static sticking all over the place while cutting really turned me off. Anyway, nice case man.

it's a 14"x14" cube.thought it was kinda big too at first too but somehow got used to it. lotsa space to add extra stuff in it(especially mutha f***a huge northbridge and cpu coolers).the coolers for the drives are actually underneath the casing. 2x80 cm fans underneath it (it's 1 inch raised off the floor) sucking out air and 2x80cm fans at the top also sucking out air.PSU has a double fan to help in the ventilation too.the Cold cathode i made it myself actually, which explains the dual colour. i took the cold cathode and inverter out of one oy my old scanners and fitted it inside, the other was one of the broken Cold cathode my friend had . also added a switch at one of the pci slots to gimme the option to switch off the lights, so no prob it being too bright at night. my friend has a dremel which i might try to etch some patterns in it. yeah, when cutting the acrylics the shavings was all over my hands and legs sticking everywhere! and i had a whole lot of acrylics to cut. i did the whole thing with a Bosch elecric saw and a B&D Drill and lotsa chloroform. must get a dremel.................thanks guys for the comments!!

yeah..too daring huh (red)...yeah...cables are messy man..must go get some sleeving this weekend. gonna get a can of spray too and maybe get it airbrushed.. (can i airbrush acrylics??hmmm.....)..actually it wasn't that hard to build...

took me 3 full days including planning to build the damn thing..i wanted to build it wide and tall enough to include in future chipset and cpu coolers..haha,,guess i must have overdoned it..

anyone living in klang need to get your acrylics cut..can just drop by and we can have fun cutting it up!!hahaha...anyone who has any junk pc's or parts can also donate em to me..maybe i can make my next project...was thinking of an aquarium thingy...so that it has a layer of liquid all over to enhance cooling and also reduce sound... hmm....

One of the local magazine here showed a mod where by they extend an aquarium a little more deeper and whack a system there...so when look from the front, it looks like the fishes are swimming next to the motherboard.

2 different lights in there... one is a cooler master CCFL and the other is a white flourescent light i ripped out from my scanner. since the acrylics is orange therefore (white+orange = yellow). but you gotta make sure you rip out the inverter (if you don't already have one) from the scanner too if u want your CCFL to light up.

just manage the cable a bit and it'll look great.

EDITED : idea - spray paint or something about the cables to yellow or orange. smile.gif will help the camoflage.

U have did a good job men, i have once did it as well but now shifted back to normal case coz acrylic is pretty heavy.

anyway if u have attention of getting a new one here is my suggestion:

1) have better arrangement for ur components coz ur HDD has no intake air flow blowing it. so will get hot easily thumbup.gif

2) try to build a compartment where by that's the place to hide ur wires, example those PSU wires cos through it and come out from the other end where the power is needed..for those that does not needed make it stay inside the compartment..

3) the compartment make it non transparent or semi transparent....sand it or apply semi transparent sticker.

4) have better air flow design in the case such as bigger fan yet low noise level....

so good luck bro...anyway did a great job....suprise me to see some one has the similar case as well.....
