anyone with criskelo rom v8 now?

try to install the driver manually in device manager. turn on usb debugging first to make it recognize the driver. Just select install automatically then it's done

Many thanks to both of you for your suggestions. Manage to finally get it to recovery mode to backup my phone. Not sure what was wrong but i failed even with flashing the CWM recovery 5.5.0.4 - "v1.5" by itself. So decided to do the whole shebang CF-Root 6.4, that reset the whole thing and now it works, even the CWM manager. Yea!

My previous attempt to root was with CF-Root 6.1, maybe that version caused some gremlins in my S3. Not sure...

Anyhow, all is well. Till JB anyway. Haha.

Reconnect the device in Samsung Kies (PC Studio) mode.
Current connection mode not supported by Kies,
Chech the USB settings.

(Settings ->Applications->Development->USB debugging(x))

reinstall kies. u using w7 or xp?

i used win 7..got the same issue previously..it's due to the os cannot install the driver automatically so that you need to install them manually. there should be 2 or 3 drivers (MTP, SAMSUNG_android, etc). in device manager, right click on the 'samsung_android' and click update driver software, then just search automatically for device updated software.

I face this too sometimes.

Flash cf root after stock rom but the root and cwm not there after root try another few times then only succesfull..

ya indeed.. got 1 window update regarding samsung 1.

@SteadyPana u should check the window update as well.

I tested this driver working in 2 win 7 laptop....

I beginning to use this phone started yesterday and really loving it. Fast and smooth for all apps and games running so far. By the way is there any recommendation or good apps which is a must have for this gadgets?

ppl selling approximately RM50 for new earphone. u can find unused earphone (9mm) get the inner part to attached it. damn low cost de & mostly r using korea machine to manufacture it.

No S3 pics? Did not know you are a DSLR user too. Maybe we should make an outing sometime and snap using DSLR then compare to S3. I find the S3 very convenient and sharp when the lighting is good.
