CKming: RM250 with swap for brand new spare tyre.

Im not sure whether its normal or not. I try to 'test' my car on a highway just now.but seems the car has no power. I try both D mode n paddle shift. Is it bcoz of i havent change the motor oil? and when i press the brake, the gear also have little knocking sound. Is it normal?

At hot weather?

Better don pedal before u change oil for 1000km service.
Check ur oil level n also air filter fit properly.
Had u done ur service?

When u brake, is fully stop then u hear sound?
Cvt members, will ur gear unlock when u brake?
I suspect that sound is from this mechanism.

Ckming: Yalor... price is RM300 with out swap, i also donno where else to buy called proton they said the price is 450+ :S

Half cut price is around 150-180. Rather get a new one just for safety.

What kind of knocking sound? but habibz84, you sure is from gearbox? or your braking system?

what oil bro? engine oil i already check this morning. service not done yet. will do on thursday. ive no intention to pedal it. but feel weird why this car is like hard to move. so i try to use paddle shift. same also.

Added on September 11, 2012, 3:21 pmim not sure. but the sound like comes from the gear.i can feel the vibrate on the gear knob too. i notice something weird with this car since the 'routine maintenance required' appeared.

....you brake at P?????...I think its the cvt..you feel like no power..but you are going fast enough....

but normally when using semi auto, i can accelerate starting at 2nd gear... with 'D'.. felt like lorry lor...

Ask him test again at night.

Pressing the brake at "P" will enable the solenoid (If I remembered correctly) mechanism to free the passageway for the gear position to be engaged, the sound you hear is normal, just that we hardly notice it in the beginning..sometimes its quite loud..without pressing brake, you cannot change gears from "P" position, btw its a safety feature

also driving in hot weather will make the car feels sluggish, pretty normal also..try doing the same at night and let us know..

Interested if we can get >50bucks for our spare tyre. else just what boo suggested.
