QUOTE(fruitie @ Sep 22 2012, 02:14 AM) How about the availability of the apps in Google Play Market? Is it sufficient to most of you? My requirements are simple, for communication (Viber, WhatsApp, Line, Talkbox and other), browsing, video (plays all types of videos especially RMVB), reading (magazines and books) and some gaming (my favourite are words games). I know this is a stupid question but iOS has apps that dedicated for iPad due to the resolution and bigger screen, am I right to say GNote or GNote2 has its own apps that fits into the resolution? I'm not used to see small resolution apps on a bigger screen. Nearly all the apps in market can be use on GNote/Note2. Browsing and watching videos on Note is addictive

Again, it is not something like iOS whereby some apps are meant for iPhone only, though it can be installed on iPad but after further enlarging it, it goes pixelated?

QUOTE(fruitie @ Sep 22 2012, 02:21 AM) Thanks for the info. Reading, I'm using iBooks on my iPad now. A similar app will do, as my magazines are in PDF format. How about apps specially for Note? You will have special market section for Note at Samsung app. Most Note special app start with S..SMemo..SChoice.etc. App that can be used with SPen is around 50 nowdays. Like i said..nearly all apps in market can be use without problem. It goes pixelated if you use tablet..not Note. This post has been edited by waveweaver: Sep 22 2012, 02:32 AM

OK, I'm pretty convinced now for GNote2. Really wish it is out soon so that my dilemma will not happen again.

Btw..the actual phone/Note already arrive here. Just waiting to be release only. Patience is a virtue

I'm not used to see small resolution apps on a bigger screen. All those basic and popular apps for iOS sure have Android version - Viber, Whatsapp, Line etc For reading ebooks, I use Aldiko Book ReaderIt supports almost all popular ebook formats For video player, I use MX PlayerCan play rmvb files For browsing, I use Dolphin Browser. My favorite word game is Hangman. I heard iP5 got quality issues on the scuff marks, so much for "high quality materials" of metal & glass for iPhones, and Samsung being made of plastic hahaha... who is laughing now...

Thanks for the info, guys.
In fact I'm using Chrome on my iPad too but there is a problem but I can't seem to fix it up.
If I open few tabs at the same time which they load at the background but whenever I switch to any of the tabs, it starts to load again (which it has done earlier). Any way to fix this up? Very annoying to me.

Anyway dont expect Google stuffs to work well in Apple's environment

QUOTE(fruitie @ Sep 22 2012, 01:28 AM) Aargh. I thought my heart is set for GNote2 until I saw iPhone 5's release in few countries today. It makes me think twice now. I have an iPad and my elder sister is using iPhone 4S now. I love the wide range of apps that iOS offers. I don't think Android can beat on this part. So how? Anybody in the same dilemma as me now? Or previously having a difficult time to choose Android over iOS? basically pardon if am repeating what previous people have said but yea iOS tablet apps are the best however as Note 2 is still a phone, Android & iOS are very equal This post has been edited by booooster: Sep 22 2012, 01:26 PM

What ios can do android can do as well. And android gv u more choice without jailbreak. I was iOs user also but stop at ip4 and switch to android. My first android machine was Samsung tab 7 and then HTC and then nexus s. Seeing android grow from 2.2 until now 4.1.1 really a big diff. I still hv my iPad 2 at home but most of the time left idle.my kids will play it after got my permission.
I also wondering which phone to get betwenough note 2 and ip5. So I will wait both phone launch at Telco then only sign plan.
Oh fruitie, I dono other user face this or not. My personal experience. For typing experience. Ios is the best. Then 2nd I vote for HTC then nexus then Samsung. I like the zoom function when I move the text. Samsung don hv this function. HTC got. Android situ , correct me if I am wrong.

QUOTE Anxiously awaiting the Samsung Galaxy Note II? The wait is almost over for those in Europe.
Yesterday we learned that the Note II is hitting Italy on September 28th. What about the rest of the European market? An unofficial report coming from Sam Mobile suggests Samsung’s new phablet will start rolling out to Europe within the next two weeks.
Want the exact dates for the launch of Samsung’s new smartphone? We may not know all of the exact dates yet, but here are a few specific release targets:
France October 1-2 Germany September 27 Netherlands October 1-2 United Kingdom October 1-2 As expected, September 28th in Italy We now know when it’s coming, but what about pricing? If the source proves correct, you can expect the Note 2 to arrive at a non-subsidized price of about 699 Euros. The actual cost will be much lower for the majority of buyers, thanks to lower pricing with a two-year commitment.
Need a refresher on the specs? The display is a gorgeous 1280 x 720 5.5-inch AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 2. As for the internal hardware, it is powered by a 1.6GHz Exynos quad-core CPU with 2GB of RAM. Other specs include 16/32/64GB internal storage options, microSDHC, 8MP rear camera, 2MP front-facing camera, 4G LTE, 3,100mAh battery and a redesigned S-Pen. The phone will be available in Titanium Grey or Marble White.
Are you interested in picking up the Samsung Galaxy Note II at launch, or are you eying a different Android smartphone? source
