battery life also depends on signal strength in malaysia.

but it's different sub-pixels arrangement liao. and quad-core. so we are not sure of battery life without tests and real life reports.

Note II Display

In Taiwan, Samsung classified the screen used on the Note II as HD Super AMOLED (Plus)..they said it is improved version from the S3 and Note with Different pixel arrangement


i just don understand, if not happy with the screen or spec, then just dun buy..not need keep attack or say the bad thing...if so free, better do something more useful than talk nth..

hey guys, since i am a little bit free so allow me to take some time explain about the super amoled screen which is a hot topic on note 2 thread i believe..here we go..

the first samsung super amoled = super amoled
using by s1 which is pentile arrangement

compare with 1st and 2nd gen super amoled under same dimension it allow more subpixel put into screen due to resolution upgrade to HD (720p). theoretically the screen should be more fine with more subpixel..

HD resolution so more "complete" pixel can put inside a screen..and look properly the arrangement is totally different with 3rd gen which is using pentile..

what we can see is the blue color is actually ONE only..so basically it almost same with the 2nd gen super amoled which 3 color (red, blue, green) combine together to form a complete pixel..i would say this is special form of RGB invented by samsung..they double up the blue color to overcome the low light performance on blue color itself..

After iphone4 used the microsim, all phones are following now except for low end models.
So it is very likely note2 will follow and use microsim. Unless they use nano sim!

iPhone user here. Looking at all the good features I have decided to join the driod band wagon. New ip5 is not appealing. I hate the new connector design which makes alot of 3rd party devices incompatible.

Nope, not that. The one I meant is while browsing through net and you see something you really like. Take out your S-pen and crop it out then save it.

thanks, I'll be bloody honest. 3gs has been solid for the past 3 years. Everything just works. I think the joy came when there's cut and paste feature introduced and this incorporates both text and image capturing with no substitute. After that, it has been a rat race on hardwares. ip4? faster, better screen and better camera. 4s? same all story. There has been no significant feature which apple has out done others. I think the folks in cydia has implemented better gesture short cuts that what IOS 5 has to offer. Its just plain copy of other OS without innovation. Nevertheless, my old phone has never down even when you need it most. That I believe the jew is the bulletproof OS.

However, as the years go by, I beginning to see strains. Websites is getting more complex, and with all the addition of features bogging the phone down, its a bit funny to hear people talking in ghz and cores, while I'm still stuck in the age of mhz with a single processor.

Personally, i think samsung has outdone apple. Its no surprise to see the giant is trying to stop them getting the biggest pie. with so many new innovations like rotate screen in accordance to eye position, cut crop image on the fly, internal S-voice, big screens, and many more, I believe this note will certainly lure most users to buy in. I'm not a fan on hardware specs. It's just a difference on waiting but it still can get the job done. But having a nifty and practical feature means you're special and you can do things more effectively. Thats why I'm giving uncle sammy a chance once they roll out note 2.

Probably my biggest gripe on note 2 is on the lack of internal storage? existing 32 gig is still insufficient to squeeze in all my favourite songs. Don't talk about videos. Another major concern is on upgrades. Samsung is never concern on porting new OS on older phones. I can't blame them as their bread and butter is always on selling hardware. Nevertheless, there are still generous open source developers to rely to.

note 2 have external storage, something that i hope they will keep, as many other major already deleting their option to have external storage, so keep your videos and mp3s on the external, and let the internal for apps, and system files.

samsung never been top notch in their updating department, htc is the best on that.
BUT, REALLY REALLY BIG BUT, samsung is one of the top device of having support from developer,
as you can see even now samsung galaxy s1, still alive and kicking with ICS even though samsung only release until gingerbread if im not mistaken. i didnt check on them recently but i think even JB has been port to GS1.
samsung phone may not have the best looks, or the best support OFFICIALLY,
but off the record, the phone is flexible, almost as flexible as nexus line, no locks, no strict, no cage,
the only rule is that you must buy POPULAR phone. flagship, the phone that you know developer will be having it too.
