Hey, I'm looking at getting a racing cockpit to play GT5 with. Anyone can suggest a good place to get one at a reasonable price? (with bucket seat)

QUOTE(KoYuKii @ Feb 12 2013, 11:49 AM) I personally prefer R3 coz easier to find online rooms in our region. Yes, we can also do that with R1 or R2 disc, but you have to change the Region filter to "All", which means scrolling through the Online lobby pages before you can find one. Tedious, IMO.Plus, some tournaments organized by Polyphony are region locked. So, having the correct region disc could be a factor. Other than the features above, they're all basically the same. My advise: get R3. |

Hmm, still no success bro. I've refreshed the list of lobby as per your advice (in the other thread) 10s of time but still cannot find Malaysian lobby. The nearest is Thailand. Same goes for my MY PSN id as well. I think, like you've mentioned, my R1 disc is the culprit. Well, what the heck, just play la, as long there is no lag. And I think getting 6th place on Nurb ring among level 35+ players is not so bad la for a first try heheh (still cannot clock below 8 minutes though Plus, some tournaments organized by Polyphony are region locked. I had to dig deep to find it... I guess nobody here had time for GT5 anymore... |

Its not because of the disk. It is because, at the time you are playing online, there's no Malaysian player with Malaysia PSN ID hosting a session.

Caterpillar_3309I think Evo is right. Remember when I said i can find Singaporean room when using my R2 disc? If can find S'pore, can find M'sia. If you want to test further, i can host a room and see if i'm visible to you. Just let me know the time & date. |

It's been sometime, I've been practising Nurb ring with Mazda NC-07. Learn more about the corners and practise without driving line aid. Can't get the perfect spot for all the braking points yet.
Then go back to the Special event - Merc, and finish all the last two events, in the rain, without driving line. Satisfied with all silvers. |

Yeah, finally can play some racing-racing with a LYN member last midnight. Even though its just me and forumer bob the builder, and a british dude (later another malaysian guy and a few other dudes from other country joining in) it is still a blast, sweaty palms and all. And I learn few things, which is:
1) Mind your language... duh, I never thought the phrase "I nearly pissed my pants" can be considered as profanity, LOL 2) Buy a friggin usb keyboard...felt like a fool typing with the DS3 Then again, I need more practice, as bob endlessly kicked my butt on every track I do found a malaysian-hosted room pretty crowded. The host's name: matdagang...a LYN forumer ka? I can't join coz don't have any race-spec car in my garage. |

USB keyboard will be very handy. A PS3 keypad is another option. But keyboard is a much cheaper option. Make sure it's a wired USB keyboard ya. Where got kick your butt..... If we use same car, I think I kena smoke liao.... the GTR is good, but it's also heavy..... Thanx for joining last night. I really enjoyed it. I might be hosting again tonight. |
