A battery operator tweezer-like thing that plucks more than 1 hair out at the same time.
Awesome invention, save lots of time. Can't live without it.

an epilator is still plucking hairs, just at a faster rate.

But using an epilator is still considered plucking.. no? rclxub.gif
My epilator is so sharp it sometimes cuts the hairs instead of plucking them out -.-

This doesn't work for me sad.gif Exfoliate the area almost daily, it didn't lighten nor smooth out.

It'll still have the same effect as plucking just that it saves time and is more convenient than tweezing each hair out.

I exfoliate frequently and used to epilate every 5 days or so. But still will have like small bumps. Now I signed up for e-light hair removal package, was told to shave only cannot pluck so I've not epilate in the past 4 months and the bumps are much less already.

Hmm, i guess different people will get different effects maybe? Or maybe u can try getting an epilator that has speed control so that u can adjust. But i do think trying wont hurt rights? i think u need to give it time, about 1/2 year to see real results and the difference from hand plucking and using the epilator.

What model are u using? i am using one with speed control, and i find that it's easier to epilate with the "tweezer" bit is wet, and the area i am doing is wet. When dry, it does hurt sometimes and it doesn't pull all hairs out compared to when wet.

no. I've actually also signed up for this, and have had only ONE treatment because I live overseas. the armpit area doesn't get dark with this because e-light kills the hair at the root. the reason why they say shave only is because if you pluck the hair, a new one will grow in its place vs just shaving the hair that your body naturally pushes out, eventually it pushes out the dead root and you won't have hair.

I didn't have to shave or epilate my armpits for three weeks because there was ZERO hair. too bad I go home so infrequently, otherwise I would have finished my treatment sad.gif if you're asking why I started the program in Malaysia instead of overseas, it's because I hadn't planned on staying overseas at the time XD

Oh i forgot to say this.. It does hurt the first few times, but after the 3rd time, it's back to normal. My armpits hurt like hell and went all red the first time i used it lol, but maybe that was bcuz the hairs weren't long enough and i was a first timer.

About the chicken skin thing, im not sure? does she scrub/ exfoliate the area? It could be the brand isnt suitable for her? just remember not to put anything on that area like deodorants... im sure she doesnt have odour, but if so u could ask her to use powder.... or the best solution u can ask a dermatologist about the pores.
Just try an epilator first for 1/2 yr or so, and see if there are any changes... smile.gif

Nope, not dark at all. In fact, the girl who does it for me say that it actually whitens the underarm area.

I was never concern about whitening cause my armpits were not very dark in the first place. The hair just grew very fast and I got fed up epilating every few days, even a short 4D3N to the beach also have to bring my epilator. doh.gif

Yup, after 1 treatment, most of us can see the results already. I was so amazed after the first treatment, had completely no hair at all for few weeks. I go for the treatment every month or so now. There will be some parts where a few strands of hair will grow but very very slowly.

@Suggiebliss: This elight treatment is available almost everywhere in Klang Valley. I bought my package thru one of those Groupon sides for few hundred bucks and half way completing my package now. The beauty centre that I go to for this treatment is in Sunway area.

I used cream type VEET though, a cheaper solution.

Using it before shower, after applying the cream type VEET at armpit, wait for 3 minutes, then it falls painlessly during shower. Wanted to buy epilator last time due to cost contraint so opt for VEET instead.

I tried that .. all it does is burn the hair off to skin level but the root stays there.
