yeah yeah i just saw it on xperia blog!!Sony really has its own strategy, they can't release the xperia t to earn much from us so they make the xperia v as the bond phone for us to buy. smile.gif  biggrin.gif Good news good news have been waiting for it to announced!
*
Sony store's Bond advertising for laptops also extends to the old Xperias. blink.gif

They're not releasing TX? I prefer this, this is should be the true flagship phone.

Playing the waiting game. I wonder whether this or the Nexus 4 will reach Malaysian shores first.

Went to ask in Gurney Plaza Penang. The guy in the Celcom outlet there says that Xperia V hasn't reached Penang yet. Saw Xperia TX there and in the Sony Store. And we can't make use the Youth Communication Package at Celcom outlets, only BlueCube (which he pronounced BlueTube!).

Is this phone discontinued already?

Is the pink colour officially sold in Malaysia (i.e. not AP set)?

What's the RRP in Sony Stores?

Z1 has been announced. So does this phone still hold its own against new phones? It's still faster than Xperia SP and ZR right, because of the dual core Krait?

Don't always ....

What the heck, kid? Double standards. How come you can mention other models but when other people post, you said they've gone off-topic?! I've admitted my mistake (that V > ZR when it's SP > ZR > V), why don't you too?

Isn't this Xperia V thread. Shouldn't we be discussing the merits of this phone to you know, encourage people to buy this phone?

Of course V is not in the same league as the flagship Z1. We're comparing the mid-range.

SP: heavier, camera with less megapixels, larger screen hence lower PPI, not water and dust resistant. Slightly higher clocked CPU.
ZR : larger screen hence lower PPI.

SP beats ZR in about half of the tests. * Oops my bad, SP's processor is not the same as V's. Because SP's dual core Krait is clocked higher at 1.6 GHz. Not because dual core Krait 1.5 GHz (V) > quad core Krait 1.5 GHz (ZR). ZR is the true successor to V.

Just wanna share my experience.

Have use both V and SP. One phone strength are the other weakness.  As it is a Sony and the price point is low. Everyone should not expect to get it all. Even flagship Sony don't get all feature.

. At 4.3 vs 4.6 the difference In PPI is unidentifiable. But V screen are better quality .floating touch is fun but sensor on the lense is annoying. don't seem like any major  noticeable performance related despite the difference chipset. SP camera are slightly better on days but not even close to V in low light. V battery life is half of the SP.

Both are great devices no one can be wrong by choosing one over the other.

Thanks for posting your comparison and two cents, that's what I wanted to know.

ZR vs. V: I checked some more, ZR is nearly the same size as V despite the larger screen and bigger battery. One shortfall of ZR is that the Malaysia model doesn't have LTE. I'm going to be using it in an LTE enabled country so still prefer V as it has it all! rclxms.gif ZR LTE model's price is also nearly double the V's.

Like I said, double standards! You accuse people but when people accuse you back, you deny acting the same way. You're not the mod here. I called you a kid and will continue to do so because you're behaving immaturely. Nothing to do with how pro you are or how long you've been an Android user.

I would say, NO

I bought the last unit of this in a mall in Penang. Completely discontinued. Most shops have already sent back their remaining stocks to Sony. Such a little-known model. *sob*

This phone is great. Feels like a 'dummy' phone as it's so light and the display looks printed on (the power of sensor-on-lens!) the phone itself.

I couldn't believe how bad the battery life was until I experienced it myself. Gonna buy extended battery for the longer battery life and for a better grip (esp. as my finger blocks the camera).

Looking forward to using it with LTE! biggrin.gif
