Finally here but i have bought S3 due to great offer from maxis. V and TX same price? Too bad, V just mid range should be cheaper than TX. Sony always introduce great phone but release to market too slow.
*
Actually the only mid range spec on V is the internal memory which is 8gb. V is better or same than TX in everything else with newer Sony technology summore so TX should be cheaper. In some countries, it is.

Not really la, beside 8G internal memory. The front camera only VGA, screen size only 4.3, TX more slim. the only special is dust and water resistant and LTE. I don't think malaysia LTE can expend to whole malaysia in 2013.
*
Actually, it's more than that. V has higher chipset (MSM8960) than TX's MSM8260A. TX pixel per inch is 323 while V is 342. Screen size doesn't mean high end, just form factor subject to preference. I don't think higher resolution for front camera carries any weight at all to be high end as we have much better back camera. Other extra features that TX can't compete with V are (source from Xperiablog):

1) Bluetooth 4.0 (the Xperia T has Bluetooth 3.1).

2) Mobile BRAVIA Engine2: An evolution of Mobile BRAVIA Engine delivering an ever better viewing experience by adding a new real-time contrast optimisation and improving sharpness enhancement on top of high quality colour management and noise reduction.

3) ClearAudio+ mode: Developed with Sony’s own signal processing technologies, allows users to effortlessly enjoy audio quality that may have been stripped away by music compression. ClearAudio+ mode incorporates a variety of Sony’s sound technologies, but with one simple operation, users can easily enjoy Sony recommended sound in ultimate clarity and presence, across the entire spectrum of sound.

4) HDR (High Dynamic Range): The camera quickly captures the image twice with different exposure levels and layers it together to create one optimised photo. HDR is automatically activated when Superior Auto detects scenes with strong backlight.

5) Superior Auto: Technology used in Sony Cyber-shot Digital Cameras that intelligently detects scenes (up to nine scenes), sets most optimal settings for still image, and applies best image processing including layered technology (up to four photos), making it easy to get the best shot even in a dark or backlight scene.

Xperia TX doesn't deserve to be priced higher than Xperia V at all doh.gif

Is this devices..ori set available walk in..or just pre order..worth to take this devices or wait for xperia z...your opinion guys?
*
Sony Style in The Curve told me TX is launched this week and V slightly later probably end of the week or next week but as of now, I guess no walk in availability yet.
Depends on what you want. If you want a good, fast phone with all premium features in a compact design in relatively cheap package and don't want to wait anymore you should get the V. If you want the latest in Sony technology, bigger screen, precision design and don't mind trrading in your house for it (heheh...the price won't be cheap) and don't mind waiting, you should go for Z. Personally, V can already do what Z does with some of its technology (like Bravia2) already incorporated in V, and I'm more than happy with a 4.3" screen, and the waiting has to stop some time so V is perfect for me, better than Z even (for now of course)

The battery life should be better than TX as its screen is smaller. Should last at least 1 day with moderate use. Shouldn't be poorer than other smartphones since we know this is a common problem with today's smartphones so as such I don't think anyone would regret buying it just because of the battery wink.gif My solution for battery (as I'm a heavy user) is to have an original car charger and plug it in everytime I get into the car, and the same goes for the USB cable on my office computer. I use bluetooth headset for freedom and have no problem with battery life.

V camera should be best in it class. RS just means the sensor is stacked to save space for other components which is a big deal in the smartphone hardware spec race. Aside from that it has the HDR and bright images in low lighting features that's already offered in V camera so image quality difference will not be night and day or we would've heard a lot of buzz about Xperia GX camera (already sporting Exmor RS).

Can't wait to get mine next week!

Can anyone answer me?The white xperia v cover is glossy or matte?
*

It's matte, and I love it! The salesgirl had a hard time keying in the phone, then I asked if there's a problem. She said she had to key it in as TX first because it's not yet in the system and I was the first person to buy it. First in Malaysia to get it from an official Sony store eh? Not bad smile.gif

No fingerprints at all rclxm9.gif Though the front is obviously a fingerprint magnet for any phone, but unfortunately there are no accessories ie cover, screen protector for the V yet sad.gif

Oh, one note of advice though. The phone uses micro sim. My excitement was shortlived because I can't really use my phone yet until go to Maxis today to downsize my simcard. Suggest you switch to micro sim before you get your phone for uninterrupted excitement smile.gif

yes..n i find that micro slim slot is flimsy..can broken if too hard..actually the sony klcc staff also quite mislead..says that no microsd card slot...simply because he cant find it...
*
Yeah, actually they're all idiots. That's why the shopping experience here can't compare to other world class cities like Singapore, London etc. They don't know their own product and can't offer you any information you don't already know. I know a lot more than they do. Yesterday, just before sony style klcc confirmed it has arrived, sony style the curve told me it's arriving at the end of the month. Pfffh....like I said, idiots.

Anyway, battery life sucks just about as much as any other smartphone. No surprises there.

People who don't use data plans. Only rely on free wifi. Not so smart way use a smartphone.
*
Actually, I mainly use my data plan because it's unlimited and I wanna get my money's worth. That's why I have car charger, usb charger at my work computer & I have a portable stick charger when I'm on the go. In short, I'm charged ALL the time because I don't depend on battery life on any smartphone/tablet. I used to have 3 batteries for my old X10 laugh.gif

No screen protector yet. Only 1 shop at lowyat selling V cover. Looks good but not too fitting. Beggars can't be choosers so I took it. At least I'm half protected.
