Actually, it's more than that. V has higher chipset (MSM8960) than TX's MSM8260A. TX pixel per inch is 323 while V is 342. Screen size doesn't mean high end, just form factor subject to preference. I don't think higher resolution for front camera carries any weight at all to be high end as we have much better back camera. Other extra features that TX can't compete with V are (source from Xperiablog):

Xperia TX doesn't deserve to be priced higher than Xperia V at all

Really impressed with it's elegant design...run very smooth ...
love the camera quality the most...
so far, no problems/bugs detected...& i hope it lasts long...

guys, i already bought XV from sony ericsson shop in alamanda. rm1399. called sony center price remain rm1599. apparently the rm200 discount only offered by selected shop.
