No lah. The grid is the touch digitizer. The circuit to detect finger touch.
No need to border about the b or c touch firmware. Just use the phone and enjoy it.

what's a display firmware? sorry i don't know every term lol.

if u mean check firmware version, then settings > about phones.

open your dialpad and dial *#*#SERVICE#*#*. the letter is on the dialpad.
you can also check whether your phones are functioning 100% from some checking there lol.

Got mine over the weekend.. Most of the white TX was out of stock already.. I had to call up several sony stores and managed to find one at the Gardens.

The speed is really fast, very very impressed.
