Hi all,

I've recently opened a cimb's biz current a/c with my partner. Why do I choose cimb bcos apparently it's the only bank that don't require "introducer". So now I got the a/c and cheque book but there's no ATM card as they said partnership a/c does not allow ATM card. No bank book or whatsoever. So I ask them how am I gonna check my a/c balance as I do have some clients bank in payment as often as a few times a day? They said there's only 2 ways:

1) call their 1300 hotline - where I have to go through operators, verifications etc which take 5 min - 10 min just to check the a/c balance.

2) register with their "biz channel" - this costs money like about rm100/mth.

Now, why do I have to go through all the hassle to check my own money in my own wallet? The 2) method is even more ridiculous where I have to pay to check my balance in my wallet.

I am not sure about partnership current a/c from other banks. Can someone share their experience? Is there anyway I can change my company's bank in the future? I just need simple sevices like check a/c balance and daily transactions. Thanks...

For your information, CIMB Bizchannel is the best online banking system in Malaysia (realtime updated) compared to foreign banks like HSBC and SCB or local banks like Maybank.
If a fees like RM100 is too much for you, just cancel it and do your normal writing check and month end bank reconciliation from the statement you receive...

Please rethink any partnership company because if you made a payment that your partner disagree then there will be squabbles.

I enjoy using CIMB Bizchannel because it is so convience and I never look back at conventional banking anymore..If you use payroll you can select bulk payment-payroll for payment to any number of your staff for salary, socso, epf and LHDN, if you pay by tt you can select IBG or Rentas (>100K) for same time transfer...

Do you feel cheated when you have to pay a fees to check your account online ?? Everything cost money because we need better services to save time, it is worth it trust me.. nod.gif Yeah your business will grow faster using Bizchannel because you use less time to do the same work..

I haven't apply to biz channel. I don't need to do the above mentioned transaction to socso etc. I just need simple service like checking my a/c balance. Coz once my client banked in the money, I can immediately courier the goods. Its that simple. I don't need its bulk-payroll service etc.

Btw, cheques require both partner's signature so the disagreement cheque issuance that u mentioned won't occur.

I thought we can use cimb clicks like savings a/c too but apparently, current a/c can't use it.

They have it. But not for current a/c. There's only 2 ways to check ur biz current a/c for partnership.

1) call 1300 hotline
2) apply for their online biz channel service which cost rm100-250.

Some term to highlight, if your current account is proprietor, you can use cimb clicks for free as normal personal account.

I have a partnership account with Maybank. Probably not so useful to you since you choose CIMB because of the introducer issue.

Anyway, partnership account with Maybank very easy to open. I also got them to get me the Maybank2u started up, so I can easily check my bank account transactions online, right after buyer has banked in. If not, you have to call them up each time to check whether the transaction went thru or not.

I have to pay RM10 every month for M2U Service Charge though. But if you're a sole proprietary current account then it's free.

It says rm250 per year, per person. Rm100 per token which I don't know what does per token means.

Token is the small keychain electronic device which you press to get your TAC number for online transaction. Currently CIMB charges RM 65 fro each device for individual account. Very useful if you need to do a lot of transaction.

Basically if you want to do business, what is RM 20 per month? tongue.gif other banks also have charges between RM 10-25/month.

So, TS started the thread with wrong info...

"what is RM 20 per month? tongue.gif other banks also have charges between RM 10-25/month."

Agree with gark, my personal cimb current account is rm5/month.

So per token means per time use? Rm65 for one time and rm250 for a year?

Seemed to me, your statements are contrary to each other. On one hand, you say money is no issue; while on the other you're asking whether there is any simpler, but cheaper service. You were the one with the info on CIMB and telling us it sucks and now asking the same info again. I don't think I'm the only person seeing stars. tongue.gif
