Hi all,
I've recently opened a cimb's biz current a/c with my partner. Why do I choose cimb bcos apparently it's the only bank that don't require "introducer". So now I got the a/c and cheque book but there's no ATM card as they said partnership a/c does not allow ATM card. No bank book or whatsoever. So I ask them how am I gonna check my a/c balance as I do have some clients bank in payment as often as a few times a day? They said there's only 2 ways:
1) call their 1300 hotline - where I have to go through operators, verifications etc which take 5 min - 10 min just to check the a/c balance.
2) register with their "biz channel" - this costs money like about rm100/mth.
Now, why do I have to go through all the hassle to check my own money in my own wallet? The 2) method is even more ridiculous where I have to pay to check my balance in my wallet.
I am not sure about partnership current a/c from other banks. Can someone share their experience? Is there anyway I can change my company's bank in the future? I just need simple sevices like check a/c balance and daily transactions. Thanks...

I haven't apply to biz channel. I don't need to do the above mentioned transaction to socso etc. I just need simple service like checking my a/c balance. Coz once my client banked in the money, I can immediately courier the goods. Its that simple. I don't need its bulk-payroll service etc.
Btw, cheques require both partner's signature so the disagreement cheque issuance that u mentioned won't occur.

QUOTE(ah_suknat @ Aug 29 2012, 05:48 PM) I thought we can use cimb clicks like savings a/c too but apparently, current a/c can't use it.

QUOTE(.O. @ Aug 29 2012, 07:28 PM) cimb dont have online account to check balance meh? They have it. But not for current a/c. There's only 2 ways to check ur biz current a/c for partnership. 1) call 1300 hotline 2) apply for their online biz channel service which cost rm100-250.

QUOTE(jack2 @ Aug 30 2012, 07:26 AM) Some term to highlight, if your current account is proprietor, you can use cimb clicks for free as normal personal account. Yes, in fact, proprietor allow to apply for an ATM card to manually check balance like personal a/c too

QUOTE(munkeyflo @ Aug 30 2012, 08:14 PM) I have a partnership account with Maybank. Probably not so useful to you since you choose CIMB because of the introducer issue. Anyway, partnership account with Maybank very easy to open. I also got them to get me the Maybank2u started up, so I can easily check my bank account transactions online, right after buyer has banked in. If not, you have to call them up each time to check whether the transaction went thru or not. I have to pay RM10 every month for M2U Service Charge though. But if you're a sole proprietary current account then it's free. Oh, they deduct from ur account monthly basis? Added on August 31, 2012, 1:09 amQUOTE(Tavia88 @ Aug 31 2012, 12:28 AM) Mind to share whether the RM100-250 pay for once or every month? It says rm250 per year, per person. Rm100 per token which I don't know what does per token means. This post has been edited by hey_there: Aug 31 2012, 01:10 AM

To all, money is not an issue here. The prob is I don't need those services. I just need to check my balance from time to time. That simple...... Added on September 2, 2012, 3:28 amQUOTE(gark @ Sep 1 2012, 01:08 PM) Token is the small keychain electronic device which you press to get your TAC number for online transaction. Currently CIMB charges RM 65 fro each device for individual account. Very useful if you need to do a lot of transaction. Basically if you want to do business, what is RM 20 per month? other banks also have charges between RM 10-25/month. So per token means per time use? Rm65 for one time and rm250 for a year?
