I like to do charity for old people who are totally sick and need to wear adult diaper everyday. They were abandoned by public health care and don't have financial resources . I know some old folk homes are business oriented so i believe this is not the target of my charity. What about those old folk homes that rely on public charity where the nurses are doing public welfare for the one that does not have income? Are there such center ?

im not sure yet. Today Star Paper has a story of Old Folk home and Orphanage Center asking for donation . In the article, the old folk homes now having 43 old people and they seem to be interested to buy bigger lot to accomodate more old folks . the house worth RM 800,000 . I was wondering Why Puchong? Why 800K? Are this old people so picky that they have to live in down town? Can't they live further away from town? Than i saw the photos in the paper where residents were helping out in the events to get the Charity Fund. Well, it looks like they probably found a good location to find right people to get the fund.. this make me ponder now.. If im the person who wants to seek fund, Puchong has a lot of families and it's probably the right place to setup an old folk home... where there's honeys there bees.

Second case , well this is the Orphanage center and they have bought this place cost 1.6million to accomodate more orphan. They still owe the bankers like 1million .. I been wondering if they don't have fund to buy the property, why have such a big dream to go for something so big. The property look quite big and now they are asking for donations.

Okay where is the govt welfare and assistance for this group of orphanage and old folks?

i thought the best place would be PJ. Most of the green activities requiring ppls support are held there. In Taman Bahtera, there's an old folks'/ sisters' home which looks more like a mansion to me..maybe the 'direction' just got twisted...many of the homes are for raking in money via the old folks.

as for the YG thing, it's not home. i am wondering under what category are they registered as. then you're trying to help financially or what?

are you sure u know anything bout green? why all the sudden, green has to do with this?? if i want to place my donation, i have to give to the one that is not picky and lazy. donation is a must but your mind has to be clear and able to see that your money goes to the one that needed most. yes im trying to help but don't question me. tq

aiyo, i'm just curious if there are other ways to help other than helping as a volunteer or donating money, not to question you..compared to cheras and klang, pj is said to be easier to get public support...not sure of how true is that la...

you have a point there in selecting the right home..good luck ya..

tq sister. thanks for understanding. i also learning from the forum members here to donate to the right one because of their past experience. knowledge is very important , so is sharing . At least we all know which organizer is doing enough already to collect fund so that other groups will locate the one that is having hardship.

My philosophy is to get things right and simple . one that puchase expensive land or properties at the expense of other public need to be question. We all knew that charity is a noble cause but one have to understand that charity cause is more than donating clothes and money. The organizer that is able to accept questions from the public is a good organizer. I believe some will not be happy to be question...

i have the listing but i don't know which one is real one now. if u c the list , u be surprised that there's a lot of it. i usually don't like the one that will do events, there's always a dominant group that likes to manage thing their way. they will call press to highlight the event and even invite some big shots than there's always a special row of sofa seat for the VIP or the highest contributor. etc...
