DireTide mode is fun. Always pick late game carries that can deal ton of dmg and always get force staff to runaway from Roshan's ulti when he uses it.

can anyone explain briefly how to play this diretide?

DireTide mode :

Towers cannot be destroyed. You get candy when you kill an enemy hero or kill the roshanling that is spawned with your creep waves.

The candy dropped is an item that you can stack but every time you take a piece your MAX hp is reduced.

The Candy that you gotten can be inserted into the pumpkin that's located at your ancient creep spot. Your team gets exp and gold everytime you put candy in.

You can also hit the enemies pumpkin to get the candy out, so it's like a back and forth candy raiding game.

After 10 minutes roshan comes out for trick and treating. It will be announced who he will chase, the player that is chased will be hunted by roshan, the only way to stop him from chasing you is to give him a candy. then he goes for other people.

After 20 minutes it's a 10 on 1 game to kill Roshan and get a shard that you can use on the Mysterious Egg.

Roshan quite easy to kill actually, just make mana sap. and lots of hex

How to play Diretide

Hi,got mysfelf a beta key and just want to confirm,i don't have to download dota2 test in order to play dota2 right?slow internet,just want to try dota2.

yup, dont have to download the test client

just download dota 2 directly, iirc its around 3gb?

btw a Diretide tip, I saw this on iceiceice's stream, you can actually pass/throw the candies to your teammates
