cant try paranoid already since hard to touch in car holder mode.

even paranoid setting>launch>stock ui? you have try that right? flash paranoid again.

1. enter recovery>wipe cache and wipe dalvik
2. flash paranoid 2.22
3. flash gapps
4. reboot.

the only thing change just your kernel and modem ril. you can enter recovery back anytime to flash other kernel.

EDIT: personally I tested out for you, set phablet UI, reboot. Yup, it's applied phablet ui. revert back to stock via setting>paranoid setting>launch>stock UI. reboot, yup, it's applied stock ui. even my individual apps dpi still intact for custom dpi. dunno what's wrong with your side. check interface it is in correct interface?
