However, no battery indicator will show charge if Vita was turned on. But the bar will eventually get full.

I was like backup my Vita that day with around 50% battery. After 2 hours back up, i saw the battery full

I bought it at USD16.69 which around RM51~53.

Didn't check Sony store here cause right now I'm outstation also (quite a bad luck if I didn't bring along my portable battery, it was my only entertainment).

If you turn on your Vita while charging through the powerbank, it won't charge. You gonna get a special USB dongle like from Alexwlh, or you can see my pic in previous few post there. That little white thing.

For my case, i charged my Vita usb cable to PS3, it doesn't show charge indicator (the electric sign) but it still charge my vita slowly.

But since i got the 3G/Wifi Vita, i think i will just get a cheaper data plan just for it.
