nikonrumors.com rumoured it at USD 1500
one thing that caught my attention is the 16 bit colour processing. why didn't they put it in the d800/e and d4?
why this?

if really 16 bits colour processing and rm 6000 hor, i no need to think edi. terus buy 5 units hahaa

one small thing that irritates me is dual SD card slots. what am i going to do with my CF cards now?
*
No idea. Test on entry level FF before have it on new FF 2 years later ?
ANd yes, dual SD card. Body is D7000 body

i welcome the small body. the dual SD card slots is a small matter. i just have to buy new cards and sell off my CF. but it is still irritating hahaa
on the 16 bit colours. some said it still capture on 14 bits but process at 16 bits. well, 16 bits process is still wayyyy better than 14 bits process...

few more days to go
*
How much better ? unsure.gif
This, I really no idea at all.

seriously i am eyeing this
d800/E though it's nice to have but if i ever need a 30+ MP, i will go larger.

d600 on the other hand is more forgiving as it's 'only' 24MP.
ROI also faster lol
*
You know you want it. If the price is right, below 6k for street price, I guess, it will be a very common FF brows.gif

Btw, do you use nikkor 18-35 before ?
Is it a good lens ?

thanks! lighting is better this time although when they serve the pork they dim down the light so those are actually iso2800 lol. biggrin.gif

all the shots are pp'ed, learned quite a bit researching lots of forums...
*
Using ISO 2800 is a very daring action for Nikon 1 camera. Even DSLR user, dare not push to that high, except D7000 and FF user rolleyes.gif
And a 2.7x crop camera, push to that laugh.gif

i left it auto 100-3200,, and despite choosing iso2800 (only that pork and sausage) by the camera, im getting shutter speed of 1/15 and still looks underexposed, bumped the ev quite a bit in post. it was quite dim actually. when will Nikon come out with fast prime? hmm.gif

Btw after using j1 for some time, I must confess I finally photography-poisoned lol. now craving for something better and eyeing on the om-d now due to the size and performance and the lens choice. still quite a lot of money though... sweat.gif

why choose high iso? no choice. and why not? blurred shot or noisy image, I choose noisy image. tongue.gif
*
At least use noise reduction software to reduce the noise la sleep.gif
