Just got back from MV and my first impression of Nikon is... probably one of the most LS company right now. Granted from what I read online it is probably not limited to Msia only. I mean come on man, even Canon had their 1Dx and their big ass telephoto lenses out for people to try but Nikon had to keep their D800 behind lock and key. One of the only few real photography exhibitions in KL and they rather keep the camera away from people then to let people try.

Nikon is a real disappointment
Tried the D600 though for a few minutes. Granted the controls are relatively familiar to me. It feels solid  but what I didnt like about the it was that the grip doesnt suit me too well, a little square and clunky in my hands. Also sorely missing the AF-ON button on the rear. Lastly I noticed the video record button is lightly higher than the exposure compensation button, I have a feeling this might be one button I would accidentally press often because of it's height. oh and lastly is the mode dial on the left, having to press the release button on the top and turn the dial feels really awkward, for one I could not see what I was turning into because my finger is naturally blocking my view of the dial - annoying but probably less of deal breaker for me since I am usually in A or M only anyway.



I like his guy's camera reviews... and he does recommends it over the D800.

Anyone here uses any color calibration tool, care to share which model and how much you bought it?

no. mine is ND110

So far I have not found a use for it yet. Only mount it once, only to find I could not see anything thru it. I dont recommend circular ND at this many stops. Not selling maybe in 6 more months if no use then I might sell.
