QUOTE(ongdennis @ Oct 4 2012, 10:09 AM)
mine one confirm is dust. the shop just blow it using blower.
but there still some tiny dot that not possible to clean, the boss say it just too new to wet clean.
so i just leave them there because need very very high aperture only able to spot them.
melaka dont have nikon service center, else i will go there buzz them...
Very high aperture ? you mean small is it ?
Nikon service center, per clean RM 20

that tiny dot is probably oil.
when its bad u will see lots of tiny dots of diff sizes like contagious disease

QUOTE(ongdennis @ Oct 4 2012, 10:14 AM)
yeah...i also believe is a oil mark.
it same like what i have in my previous d7000 before send to cleaning.
just let it past over 2k SC first, then only go clean it.
I will keep monitor. Mine already over 1k
Monitor it like monitor new car

perhaps the camera shop owners got excited and exposed the d600 a little too much?
the older cameras that you mentioned, what model and when did you get it? i mean, i am sure you didn't get the first batch right? and you took good care of it right?
dust is annoying but it's not a serious problem. that oil thing is another story altogether lah...
or perhaps your older camera, the high iso performance is kinda bad, so you used lower iso and bigger aperture size, now the d600 comes with awesome iso performance, or this is the first thing everyone tested and with more photos taken at a smaller aperture size, all dust spots are being reviewed. hahaa
just my thoughts... nothing serious.
put your serious thinking in whether you should get the carl zeiss 35mm f2 or the 35mm f1.4 hahahaa

the camera came in already got the dust I guess
and yes, previous model not first batch.
I usually shoot big aperture all the time, just 2 days ago, i went sunset. Shoot at f16-f22 so all pop out
