Im trying to organize some tt session with some nikon shooting star members ill ask if you guys can come along too! The more the marrier!

that's with a modifier on like a softbox.

Any videographers here? I always wonder how to move like the guy who did this video? Using rig?

generally the bigger the light source, the softer it is...so the closer it is, the bigger it looks.
but of cos if u put further distance at same power, of cos subject wont be exposed properly...maybe u confusing slight underexpose for lack of harsh shadows?
thats why u see ppl using like 80x80cm softboxes, got even way bigger ones also, and if u see the setups usually quite close to the model.

That kitlens sure gives a lot of bokeh like those f/2.8 lens o_O
