Now is not a good time for those living near the sea and ocean?>?

sea side ok, water rarely rises up but if youre futher in land tuh yg masalah.its worst if near a river without adequate draining....sure the water over flow.

I am disappointed that a friend of mine have failed in the medical check up for wireline engineer position. "unfit for offshore" the report says. She's not physically unfit though. I wonder if she can actually join the big red but for maintenance engineer post. That would require less offshore works, correct? Funny thing is, she have BOSIET already from her current company. And working offshore sometimes, just not with the fixed rotations. Seems that the medication she's been taking is influencing the doctor's decision. So guys, do you think she can apply for maintenance engineer position? I'm hoping that she can join me under the same company/base, at least.
*
hoo...maybe they have their reason or some thing.maybe she can clarify it better with hr/managers opr some thing.

btw since dah masuk big red maybe you can pass my cv to your boss nanti hehe biggrin.gif

Knowing that it mite abit dumb to ask this, but its been bothering me for awhile..

Would the rough sea and monsoon affect the upstream of the oil and gas as Ive read through out the forum that waves can come up 7 to 8m high...
*
not can, it did come and maybe higher biggrin.gif .the least i got when was up there was "yes were still green and continue operation". nod.gif

boats/loadouts were delayed tho since they cant long side with the rigs.

intern at an ong company is good but its not the final say once youve finished studies.

there is plenty in ong circle whom hadnt had the chance to join while studying but did so after studies.main thing is keep working hard pointer wise, and work wise.

dont look at the big stuff straight away, again work for it.yeah some got that big ones, big pay every thing big on the first bite, then there is also those who started from down up.all in due time you will get what you worked for.

Hi lanforex90,
I'm new here, can you tell me what do CARIMIN, OMS and RWNA stand for?

And if you don't mind, how did you applied for those jobs?

For your case, I am quite shocked that those O&G company offer you that amount. Those amounts are too undervalued - at least RM2.2k which is the standard starting salary for degree holder (somemore its engineering!) I think more preferred.

My uncle is in Oil and Gas industry as Operation Supervisor, he said no matter how low the salary is.. just take the offer. If I were you, maybe I will considering the 3rd choice seriously (junior project engineer). Because I think that salary is not for your working salary - but your learning allowance. They considered you as a trainee (like in practical training) and maybe after 3 or 6 months they will raised your salary significantly (then you are working!). Just my two cents.
*
this is true.the key is to get in and start doing the networking rounds.get yourself acquainted and known then build those reps.yeah the pay is low earlier but once you hit 5, 10 and above years you will see the major jump.before those landmark years mesti la ada a bit increment, dun expect gold spoon terus haha.just be careful on the bonds la.4 is too long, 2 years is just nice.
