QUOTE(bolosai @ Feb 22 2013, 01:28 PM) i know there's hardly any technical relationship between hvac n drilling. wad i mean is, will the company see ur experience going offshore useful or not let's say im applying some other offshore job in future? anything can happen. offshore exp is just an additional to ur overall exp. ur technical exp is matter the most.any tom, d*** and harry can go to offshore. |

QUOTE(Dagger69 @ Mar 13 2013, 12:17 PM) Of course its rare, the opportunity is not there for everyone. What do you think about package equipment? well every opportunity is not for everyone. package equipment? a friend of mine is a package engineer with technip. words from him saying it's boring with full day meeting with vendors and everything. obviously. since you had to deal with vendor. you develop a package for let say a turbine-generator. its cooling medium, its generator. different vendor have different specification but it would be a great experience. you will learn everything from turbine, compressor, pumps, crane. |

QUOTE(Dagger69 @ Mar 13 2013, 01:40 PM) I see. Thats a good way to build up his network as well as enjoy the travelling. he should be on networking.Sometimes i feel rotating is too specific, but once you are a specialist, people want you. too specific? even drilling is too specific. but look how they ending up with. very demanded in the industry. haha |

QUOTE(bigishi @ Apr 2 2013, 03:59 PM) lol, giving RM1000 to Petronas staff is supposed going to win their vote ? Seriously, who is the advisor to our "beloved" PM ??? ditto. giving RM1k to pet staff who earns more than 3k per month Dear PM, If you are reading this, let me do some analysis for you on how this move is politically bad for you : 1- firstly, majority of petronas staff are educated peeps..... well, they will surely take RM1000, but they will know upfront the motive. they will see this as a desperate move by gov. never let people think you are desperate...as a guy, u shud learn this already from pick up woman 101 : never let girls think you are desperate lol ....and for some of pet staff coming from pembangkang camp, their justification will be something like this - you have been wasting petronas money for years, and you are giving us back rm1000, damn too small, but hell yeah we'll take it but dont expect us to vote for you.... if you give RM1000 to makcik pakcik at kampung, you might sway the votes but to pet staff ??? come on... 2- you give the money to the wrong group of peeps laaa .... ordinary peep will definitely say wtf giving RM1000 to rich people. that's bad impression already for you. never mind la, do what you like... it's just an opinion from a guy who know nothing about politic lol |

QUOTE(uberlebender @ Jun 16 2013, 09:50 PM) Hi All, swift technical group. a Singapore company. they did recently contacted me for Miri offshore job.Anybody here can recommend a manpower agency for oil and gas offshore construction. Looking to try my luck in contract/freelance field engineer on-board construction barges. Currently permanent field engineer not getting proper rotation (2 months and more) and not getting the proper work-life balance (a week or so approved leave). Local or non-local jobs is okay. Experience in offshore construction around 3 years but direct responsibility as field engineer less than a year. Just trying to catch that lucky 1st time freelance job. |
