question...if we buy grey import unit...will Marco accept our watch for repair if we are willing to pay for it? or once we buy grey import set, either we go back to the seller or sendiri settle the repair already from watch shop ?
*
I think they will order parts and repair for you as long as it's a genuine watch, but of course you will have to pay for the parts and labour.

yo guys, finally i got my first watch with triple sensors....baro, alti, compass... Watch is rangement 9400 series

question - is it normal that the altimere and also the barometer doesn't really give an accurate reading? example like baro - it measures about 34'C or so but my room another thermometer says something like 31'C only... same for Altitude, yesterday vs today, the reading macam totally different even though i am sitting at the same place in my room...

appreciate any inputs here guys... i don't think i will be really using much of the sensors now also with the MCO...but looking forwards to inputs here...
*
Yes it won't be as accurate as proper sensor, the sensor is mainly based on the barometer in the watch and the values fluctuate smile.gif but they are accurate within a certain margin thumbup.gif

Late to the party! Any idea where to get GA-2100 the full black version in KL area? That got stock
*
Don't think so the production kept up so far, they are still out of stock in overseas market, but the hype has died down a little so it won't be as expensive if you get it via grey imported sellers smile.gif

Guys, wanna ask if you all did change the strap before? How much to change strap for GG-B100?
*
Changing strap for G-Shock watches are generally easy, but if you don't have the strap yet then normally shop don't sell just the strap

Because was quoted RM2xx for 1 set of strap and need to order 3 to 6 months time. I was like... Why need take so long. Lol.. Don't they, the distributor keep stock for straps?
*
Where did you order from? The distributor aka Marco Malaysia?
They don't keep stock iinm, they will only order from Casio, and did you have to leave your watch there with them?

Hahaha haha!!!! Great idea. By the way, how to check the retailer is legit selling genuine g-shock?
*
Most retailer with common G-Shock watches take their stocks from Marco Corp so they will definitely include the Marco warranty card with the purchase, no card meaning it's not official set.

Some shops sells grey imports, ala2 AP set that doesn't have official warranty. They still is legit/ori G-Shock watches but no warranty by Marco.

To be safe, just stick with shops like G-Factory, City Chain etc smile.gif

Now I'm thinking to swap the bezel and band between these two because I really like the blackout bezel and band and the positive display. Is it easy to do the swapping? and it wont mess up with the water resistant right because I dont have to open the back case and expose the internal?
*
Yea you can just remove the strap and the 4 screws securing the bezel to the watch body, you might need to use a bit of force while removing the bezel as it fits quite snug smile.gif
And you don't need to worry about the water resistance as you're not opening up the back case

where can buy CasiOak ? looking for black one

Still only seeing the other colourways in store normally, not the TMJ black ones
you probably have to get from resellers/scalpers for the all black ones..

Has anyone done the optical glue treatment on their own? I was bit skeptical when the person doing the OGT business charged Rm150+ for a simple glue job
*
I've not seen watches with OGT in real life but based on the photos I've seen, it seems to benefit negative display more, the black on the -ve display will appear darker...
But then again I've only seen photos so I can't say much, I personally won't do it because it's isn't cheap and to me it doesn't give any benefit...

Because the process is very complicated, you may break the solar panel and that alone is about 1xx to replace.
Not to mentioned this is something that you only need to do once and your watch will look great for the next 20 years.

My GX56 and GW9400 is at 3 years in since OGT, still looks like brand new as of today.
*
QUOTE(Fighteden @ Apr 19 2022, 01:05 AM)
if you have the cheaper tough solar models like GX56, GW9400, G9300, GW5600, GW6900, GW9200, GW8900 and etc, then you will notice the difference after a few years wearing it.
Especially negative display models.
*
Yea each to their own I guess smile.gif
I have had my GX56BB and the GW9400BJ for quite a few years dy but they still look pretty much new in my eyes and moreover I don't wear them super often, but for now no OGT will do for me smile.gif
