hmm good point, does our iswara have the appropriate switches to disengage it (eg: high revving) to protect itself?

and yes, the way you explained it, it seems that the compressor follows the engine's rpm, and it is no doubt belt driven.

any idea if we can do mod or change the compressor to something more intelligent or something?

- do proper sealing, and have the workshop/foreman do leak tests (hose the car and make sure not a single drop is in the boot
- around rm200/pair IINM
- get original is recommended
- please do not get white lights.

ok, thanks for your advice, cheers

guys and sifu here...... as i am doing up my new found ride .... 1994 iswara 1.3 manual sedan........ currently doing up the bodywork as the previous owner have replaced the head lamps with LMST/kereta kebal lights.......... but the mudguard fella cannot get it perfect with the front bumper........ the is a gap between the lights with the bumper looking from the top as the lights are more curve the edge then the original iswara lights and the bumpers are more sharp turn at the corners....... how you guys or sifu who have done this settle this problem? trying to make it fit perfectly or i need to changed the front bumper to LMST's model ........ thanks a million.

from experience, you either have to mod the bumper or just straight change lmst model bumper (though that require modding on the whole front such as the fender)

my year 1999 iswara aeroback entire front portion is modified to LMST smile.gif

thanks for the info........ mean i got to find LMST bumper to really make it nice and fit ....... can LMST bumper pnp into iswara's front? or need to mod? roughly how much to buy new or old? i will not be doing the paint work yet until i get everything installed and fit nicely.

next i will be trying to do up the internal especially for the door panels soon ...... looking for LMST plastic panel but cost a bomb maybe will get the cushion/seat people to repair and wrap it back.......... anyone can advice on the cost?

sorry to trouble sifu here for this stupid questions.........thanks a million.............

actually need to mod, cant pnp

so an alternative, is to change back to the old fitting glass headlamps. however since it is glass, light throwing is not as accurate and it looks very dated. the newer LMST plastic headlamps have better accuracy on light throw and it certain looks better/updated wink.gif
only in time plastic will fade/go yellow, but there are solutions in the market (such as meguiar products) to restore them so no worries too smile.gif

for me im getting new seats since my current ones are way too old and giving out too many squeaking sound. getting semi bucket seat upgrade too. haha (13 years old car)

and no worries, not stupid question at all since we all love our iswara/saga laugh.gif

need to mod a lot to install LMST bumper into iswara??...... maybe will do this later stage

will proceed with the interior and fitting next ........... door panels and door's rubbers.......any advice on this part?

oh tats you , hi boss  biggrin.gif
anything from shell mineral 15/40w , get from shell if u afraid of fakes oil , manual gearbox oil get 2 litre is enuff , get 80w or 90w preferred big brand such as penzoil , shell or petronas , if budget allow go for multigrade 75/90w proton gearbox oil , they are the best for buck and it make ur gearshift more smooth and worth it , manual gear oil can last for 3 to 4 years without changing so go for a better once  . brake fluid a bosch 2l big bottle should run about 30 to 40 buck if i am not mistaken and its more than enuff to bleed the old brake fluid with news  , not too much different between price of dot 3 and dot 4 , might as well get dot 4 . hope this helps
driveshaft taiwan/china made should cost about 150 per piece , same price for left and right , halfcut will go around 150 ++ , and original is very expensive . as for ur gearbox only it should cost around 800 to 1k for a recon or halfcut used unit , as around halfcut shop should give u some idea .
still have those well taken care and original unit , just have to find more harded but its well worth it , go jalan jalan around those autocity at selayan , kepong , p.j or puchong , who knows what u can find there brows.gif

guys and sifu,

done up my car's clutch, timing belt, absorber rubber mounting and some bearings here and there costing me around rm.750 also including engine oil + filter change and gearbox oil changed. how the price is it ok?

now after all are done, another problem come out, can hear whining/rotating sound from the gearbox ......... the forman said is the gearbox making sound but can still drive like normal without problem except the sound until very bad only bring down the gearbox to repair. any advice from the sifu here on this? how much to repaired the iswara 1.3 manual gearbox? is it advisable to get it repaired now or later? will it cost more to put in and auto gearbox instead of repairing?

thanks a million........... cheers.
