Why don't you check it in and label it fragile? Pay extra if needed to.
Either pack your own or buy the smaller containers of your toiletries from pharmacies.

It's not that difficult to pack your own. Just use any containers that are below 100ml and you are good. Toothbrush just bring any. Toothpaste buy a small tube.
It just means you're gonna burn the money you paid for the flight ticket.

if you transit, make sure you got 2 boarding pass and make sure that your luggage checked in going for your final destination...

what happened to us recently, I checked in Chitose airport to My but they gave us only one boarding pass...transit at Bangkok for 16 hours.
Arrived Bangkok then we proceed to the hotel at town without taking our checked in luggage...I tot no need to take...

next day we came to airport to check in, then the counter asked us to pay airport tax...700Baht each...whatt???
then they told us that we never pick up our luggage...whatt???
have to do all over again...need to pick up our luggage at unattended luggage counter downstairs...so much hassle...

not sure everybody know this...but we dont't know...I tot because of long transit they gave us one boarding pass...
so, make sure ya...
