I was doing my research for an overseas trip and I saw this in the customs list of prohibited goods:

QUOTE
Pen, pencil, and other articles resembling syringes.

Is this means that I have to dispose my pens before boarding the return flight?

What's your advice if I am traveling with cabin baggage only and I need to bring my own shower kit (shampoo, liquid soap, toothpaste and toothbrush in a single package)? Pack my own with accordance of LAG rules or just buy such kits in pharmacies?

Where I can get a few pieces of transparent resealable plastic bag for use of LAG item packing? I tried buying them but they are sold in bulks of tens, which is quite wasteful.

Based on what I have read from the uCustoms website,

QUOTE
Under the provision of the Customs Act 1967, travellers entering Malaysia are required to declare all dutiable or prohibited goods in their possession.

According to my siblings, I can ignore this and just walk through the green lane since that the things that I buy is for personal purpose. The problem is, one of the conditions is

QUOTE
Residents returning after an absence from Malaysia of not less than 72 hours

My departing flight is 1430 29th October 2016 and return flight arrives at 0545 1st November 2016. That's only 64 hours and 45 minutes. This means that I am not qualified for import duty exemption. Now, the things that I intended to bring back are as follows:

- Dorayaki
- Energy bars (Calorie Mate, to be precise)
- Music CDs (I'll be extra careful for this, lest I ended up with the ones with indecent artworks)

Are they taxable? Should I just declare them or use the green lane? I really need advice on this. icon_question.gif
